Hey everyone, firstly, sorry for the hiatus on the podcast episodes, but I am back with a great episode from my university pal and the person that got me into radio/podcast creating, Jess Fleming! In this episode, we discuss how we're getting on with lockdown, as well as the injustice of Iceland not being able to win this year's postponed Eurovision song contest. We had a great conversation about our student radio days where it all began and about the music we love. Thanks for being patient :)

This episode has some amazing music, and obviously it would because I had the pleasure of chatting with Issy Marcantonio... a person who I have been just as much a fan of, as a friend of. She has been an endless source of coolness and culture and I loved talking about music, quarantine, and our love for Mr. Worldwide (Pitbull). Enjoy the two of us nerd-out to music.

This episode I had the pleasure of interviewing Ashley Dawson, a close family friend of many years and fellow bridesmaid, through my cousin Holly (who is such an inspiration and is currently working on the NHS frontlines.) Ashley had some great answers due to her eclectic music taste and you can hear all the songs she mentions in this playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6Wyh3IjiiTTai0BMDYTTN6?si=2HnMljsbQ9-SCZXxD7jn5w

Me and Alice have known each other for years (we stomped around in tutu's at ballet before we even started school) and music has always been a huge common interest, so I thought she would be great to interview.

Alice is an amazing person but even more so for what she is doing to help in the current crisis. She is working as a paid volunteer in a hospital whilst studying to be a nurse, so she really is on the front-lines. We had a really good chat about her quarantine music favourites, how she is keeping positive, and she really reminded me how much of a sacrifice some individuals are making and how important it is to stay home in order to ease the burden on the NHS.

Enjoy the episode and take a listen of Alice's playlist 'Chilled' on Spotify here (highly recommend!): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3da31sVGsjwOYOJ7U4DoBF?si=49qzHa2rQTGwSVQMzYJG3w

I loved catching up with my university friend, Faye Ferris, who I was happily traveling around South East Asia only three weeks ago. Although our trip was cut short, we are both extremely grateful and glad to be back home safe once we realised the brevity of the situation. Despite everything, Faye is keeping her head up and it was so nice to talk about music together...

(Apologies for the glitchy audio, I think the whole of the country was on the internet at the same time as our call!)
