I have worked for companies where we didn't have the power to make decisions and companies where I did. Empowerment is a big part of leadership. It can be stressful because most people feel like it's a matter of letting your team make decisions when they are in a tough spot. It takes a trusting relationship. We talk about why empowerment works and where it fails.
