Lisbon-born artist who has dedicated his life to electronic music. Igor enjoyed spending most of his early 20s skateboarding, searching for records and DJing at parties with friends. In 2005, he set off for England and has remained in the UK ever since. In 2008, he was recognised for his technical abilities and selection prowess, winning the Galaxy Radio West Midlands Street Life Championship and becoming the finalist of 2010 West Midlands Corona Movida Competition. Following this, he won the MOS and Mixmag DJ competitions, signed a contract with Ministry of Sound London in 2011, and was invited to play at the esteemed Mixmag Future Heroes Tent at Creamfields Festival in Liverpool.
During his residency at Ministry of Sound, he played alongside and supported many big names including Funk D’void, Ian Pullen, Alex Neri, Roger Sanchez, Bob Sinclair and more. He toured all over the world for four years, representing the brand as Resident/Guest Artist at the likes of Colombia, Brazil, Italy, Poland, Philippines, Estonia, Portugal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Chile, France, Algeria, Ukraine, Uruguay, Argentina and more. His outstanding sets showcased his formidable technical skills and versatility in playing a wide range of electronic music, adapting his sets seamlessly to diverse crowds.
All of the above, coupled with his captivating personality created the Igor Carmo that is appreciated by music lovers the world over. After all these years of playing electronic music for warm up sets and closing parties, as well as featuring as the main guest, Igor has decided to take some time to work on a sound that really represents him as an artist: Melodic, Deep, Organic, Progressive House.
