Tommy Metz leads an all-star cast of Krissy Lenz and Rob(by) Kubasko(z) in this SatMat Season Finale with trailers, games, and a list of movies you're too young to watch.

But first, Krissy misunderstood the assignment and saw the wrong Elvis movie. Don't worry, though, the mix-up leads to hijinx and inspiration for not one, but two new spin-off podcasts involving pineapples and exhaustive rewatches of other wrong Elvis movies.

Rob is healing, and used the time to catch up on a lot. Rob's Homework: Red Eye, No Time to Die, Stranger Things, Strange New Worlds, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Along the way, Netflix is in trouble. They just fired another 300 people. Still, the stream screen is performing just fine, as more people are watching Stranger Things and Obi-Wan than Top Gun Maverick or Jurassic World. Netflix has responded by piloting their password-sharing crackdown. "Excellent" timing.

Meanwhile, tv+ dropped some serious cash on their Ted Lasso-esque plan to own all MLS with a ten-year ownership deal of MLS distribution with no black-outs. Says Eddy Cue (that's Apple's SVP of Services), “For the first time in the history of sports, fans will be able to access everything from a major professional sports league in one place.” In the history of sports, Mr. Cue? Wethinks you are a touch too proud. But still, cool for football hooligans.

Yes, the company lost subscribers in spite of promising gains last quarter, and sure, there's likely a password sharing problem. But could it be, possibly, and we're just spit-balling here: they are spending too much money on bad movies making the good movies hard to find? I guess we'll never know.

Spider-verse II is getting a delay. We're hopeful they are just tightening things around the edges and it doesn't have anything to do with that weird trailer cut-scene they released a while back.

Affleck and Damon are coming together for a Nike/Jordan film. Don't worry, as far as we've heard, there is no de-aged Michael Jordan in it.

The Oscar nominations are out and this year more than others past, are the nominees more accessible to you where you live?

Mandy's crushing on The Other Two, which is eerily similar-not-similar to Kyle's current fascination, Y: the Last Man. Rob is here to represent a walk through the CBS crime shows of the CBS television network.

Of the more serious news, ScarJo got paid. The Disney-Scarlett Johansson settlement should quiet the media battle as the two sides come to terms on compensation for Black Widow at its streaming/theatrical release earnings.

The BBC is preparing for what they're calling an "explosive" 20th Anniversary of Doctor Who in 2023: Russell T Davies — the producer at the wheel from 2005-2009 — will be coming back for the celebration episode and beyond.

And, near the end of the show, Kyle drops a gem in the form of a podcast: Batman: The Audio Adventures. It's an HBOMax thing, and they team there seems to think you can only get it if you're a subscriber. But then why did they release it as a podcast? We'll never know. Pete brings a nightmare circus staring the subject of his very one-sided friendship, Bradly Cooper. And did you forget Spielberg is don't that one Sondheim thing? He is. Game! Name That Crew! In keeping with our big 200th show, we're digging through the history of other shows that crossed that 200-episode boundary. Pete starts a bidding war cataloging how many principle characters Mandy and Steve can remember from past US prime time hits.

THE LIST: Save the Cat! Blake Snyder was a screenwriter who wrote Stop or My Mom will Shoot and Blank Check in the 90s. He also wrote the book Save the Cat: The Last Book on Screenwriting You'll Ever Need in which he coined the phrase that describes the decisive moment the protagonist demonstrates that they are worth rooting for, the moment in which they save the proverbial cat.

It's a controversial concept that has grown in popularity to the point that the Save the Cat 15 beat structure has shaped many Hollywood blockbusters of an age. And, since we have a perfect Save the Cat moment in Ana Lily Amirpour's 2014 film, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, members voted that we talk all about the same moments in other films.

Tommy Metz leads the crew of Steve Sarmento and Rob Kubasko this week in his very first hosting gig. In a follow up to last week, the team is pretty excited about the news of Only Murderers in the Building leading to one massive question: will anyone want to still live in the building?

Apple's September announcements bring word of a new "Cinematic Mode" in the upcoming iPhones 13 & 13 Pro, leading to more questions of how the device might be used in future film-making. It's cool and all, and you should probably watch the demo video, but there are performance limitations that make it tricky for major motion picture use in that particular mode. Katheryn Bigelow and cinematographer Greig Fraser were hired to do some on-set work with the phones (check out the behind the scenes here) and demonstrated some interesting work. So, if you're looking for a pocket tool that can get the job done, this might be the one for you. Also, your home movies will be pretty sweet.

Games! What Line Is That Anyway? The rules are simple. Tommy created quotes from movies on AFI's Top 100 Films list by taking one line each from two movies, and jamming them together. For example, "Are you looking at me looking at you, kid?"

To earn points, you must be able to name the two movies the quotes are from, and the characters or actors that delivered them. So, Taxi Driver, Casablanca, Travis Bickle (De Niro), and Rick Blaine (Bogart). See that? I would have crushed this game.

The complexity comes in rounds two and three when the lines start coming from three movies or, dare we do it, six!

As a bonus, Steve has promised to develop a recipe for the Dirty Maguire in honor of this game.

Games! Kaplan's game is a speed round of 80's classic movie line trivia. It's a straight forward brainbreaker, but Pete and Fabian hold their own. You'll want to remember this one, because if Tommy has his way, you'll be crying through his first hosting duty coming in two weeks with a variation on this theme.

In our weekly Ted Lasso check-in, Tommy reports there's a backlash of sorts because Ted isn't facing enough of an uphill battle this season? Whatever. Ted is and will always be fine. He has to prove nothing... to nobody... no how.

And then, in what can only be described as conversational chaos, Steve leads the team on a journey through white person resorts in White Lotus with Nine Perfect Strangers adding a dose of regret for Mare of East Town and ending in pre-sorrow on the distant planet, Arrakis.

But he makes up for it all with his trailer, a take on mermaid lore we've never seen. Tommy likes documentaries that push some capital-"S" serious buttons. And Ocean gives the people what they want: No story, just web-slinging.

We're back from our long July slumber with a new game, news, trailers, and a list of movies celebrating teachers who are just... the... worst.

Steve has a report on 'No Way Home' — have you heard the rumors he's been unable to substantiate? Apparently, according to Kevin Feige, there's trailer news about the new Spider-Man entry that might point to a shift in how these big budget tent poles are marketed.

The Scarlett Johansson-Disney-Black Widow lawsuit is gaining traction. We advocate for restraint. Yes, this is absolutely a situation of big companies behaving badly. Yes, there is absolutely a corporate privilege and exploitation angle as all parties position for future litigation. But these sorts of disputes are — let's remember — why the legal system exists. It will be hard to watch, but it will be resolved with new contracts and new ways to adapt. We weigh in just a bit this week.

For a fantastic tie-in to our list this week, did you hear the news? Mr. Hand is getting more movies! A LOT more movies! The South Park team is gearing up for a deal to bring more seasons of the show and a number of feature length projects that you just have to hear to believe. If you liked that one South Park movie, prepare to be overjoyed.

As for trailers, looking for your next stop-motion-from-found-objects fetish? Look no further than Steve's entry this week. Ridley Scott is in Andy's House, and Pete is all-in with Kate. And, as a bonus, we drop in the trailer for Val now streaming on Amazon Prime as pre-work for our show on Real Genius in a few weeks — a tough but heart-warming trip down memory lane with Val Kilmer and his son, Jack.

In an unprecedented move even we didn't see coming, this week's game is a trip down production company music history in which Steve and Andy attempt to pair company, composer, and decade to logo scores. Oh, what's unprecedented about that? It's a listener submission! This comes courtesy of listener Adam Underwood who did a massive amount of work preparing clips and trivia that surely Pete is unable to properly perform to expectation. The movie this week was Fast Times at Ridgemont High and while the community had a whole slew of options, they seemed to key in on our favorite teacher, Mr. Hand, as portrayed by the late, great, Ray Walston.
