Welcome to Demeaning of Life, a podcast where we share our (un)Professional opinions about music and musical taste. We're glad to be finally back after the world went mad! This week, we are discussing the album Pieces of You by Jewel. We barely address the elephant in everybody's room, and we get to talk about how Jewel was able to take her voice and her guitar and make a career out of it. Next week, we will be discussing the album Vessel by Twenty One Pilots, so be sure to check it out. Small disclaimer about the album this week, the title track, Pieces of You contains some questionable language. Listener discretion is advised!

This week on Demeaning of life, we go deep into the shallow sea of hardcore music with the album "...In Shallow Seas We Sail" by Emery. In this episode, we look to define things like "metal", "screamo", and "hardcore". We go on a journey into the emotional mindset of the band, and talk way too much about death. So cheer up! and give us a listen. For our next episode, we will be discussing the album "Pieces of You" by Jewel. We hope you'll stick around!

This week on Demeaning of Life we are discussing the album The Click by AJR. This album is a lesson on composition, and we dig deep into the structure of the album, as well as what it really means to be "popular". We talk about drugs again (shocker), and why we don't like to party. Next week we will be discussing the album ...In Shallow Seas We Sail by Emery, which is yet another extreme departure, so please, go give it a listen! Disclaimer: The Click contains a few songs with some explicit language, which will be marked on most music providers. Listen at your own risk!

This week on Demeaning of Life, we begin our journey of big dreaming with a classic artist, Neil Young, and his album Harvest Moon. We hear from Emma why this album was influential to a 12-year-old, Tom tells us why it wasn't influential to a 15-year-old, and Don talks way too much about guitar tone. I wonder why? We dug deep into the many themes 12-year-old us probably missed (drugs are bad) and deep politics. It's a wild episode this week. Next week's album will be The Click by AJR, so give it a listen in the meantime. Thanks for listening! (This episode contains a short segment of the song Unknown Legend by Neil Young. We do not claim any ownership of this song)
