We’re back again! We’re kicking off our 3rd season discussing fast food. It my not be the best for you, but we can all agree on some favorites. After we agree on what exactly constitutes a fast food restaurant, Mike goes off on several pet peeve rants, we discuss the nostalgic aspects of fast food, and we go through our favorite places to get specific items.
If you want to drop us a line, we’d love to hear from you at adcigarpod@gmail.com!
Tonight’s cigar is the Aging room Small Batch M356.
We’re finally back (again)!
As you can tell from the title, we’re both literally and figuratively breaking our fast with a breakfast episode.
Mike works himself up with excitement talking about how to prepare eggs, Ryan purposefully goes off on a planned tangent about Saturday morning cartoons, we design our ideal breakfasts from the ground up, and we talk about everything that makes breakfasts one of top three meals of the day!
This episode’s cigar is the “La Opulencia” from My Father.
No witty pun from Mike this episode; we're talking about pizza!
We discuss homemade pizzas, frozen pizzas, and chain pizzas.
Mike guides you through making great pizzas at home. From making a perfect dough, to how to top it, he covers it all.
PS - the word Mike was searching for the entire episode is extensibility.
Tonight's cigar is the Reserve Toro from Cuban Stock

Holy cow! We're discussing all things bovine this episode.
We attempt to guide you from horn to hoof, stopping at several areas to go over our favorite cuts, and how we like to prepare them.
We also touch on cheese and milk, and Mike reveals the strange (and probably delicious) way he's been having his cereal.
Today's cigar is the Swamp Thang from Drew Estate Cigars
The After Dinner Cigar is jumping in our time machine to reminisce about school lunches.
We talk about the good and not so good aspects of our school lunches growing up, and Ryan discovers that Mike had it a lot better in Catholic school than he did in public.
Hear about our favorites for both bringing your lunch and buying it from the cafeteria.
This episode's cigar is the fantastic Martial Law from the Nomad Cigar Company.
This time we're sticking with the sweet stuff, and talking about desserts of all kinds.
Ryan of course has some governing rules of his own as to what does and does not constitute a dessert, while Mike tries (mostly in vain) to convince Ryan that fruit belongs in desserts.
And it takes all episode, but Mike finally nails down his top three dessert list by the end!
This episode's cigar is the Kristoff Sumatra Torpedo.
We're Back!
In case you don't know the song lyric (don't worry, Ryan didn't know, either), it's from "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." So we're talking about smoking foods!
We cross the lines between smoking and barbecue many times this episode. We shake off the rust to talk about our favorite meats to smoke, go deep on a rub technique, and we invent something that's already been invented!
This episodes cigar is the Sam Adams Utopia.
Welcome to our Thanksgiving episode! We are all about traditional holiday grub this fortnight.
Everything is covered, from our favorite (and not so favorite) appetizers, all the way to our favorite desserts. Mike even reveals a new quirk regarding the serving of dips.
Tonight's cigar is the Perdomo Estate Seleccion Vintage 2002 Maduro.
We're back (again)!
The After Dinner Cigar is back, and we're covering sweet and savory foods that are on sticks.
Starting out with savory foods, we talk about kebobs and other foods you can eat on sticks. We break the mold on what even constitutes a stick on this episode, in a mind blowing revelation.
Then we switch to sweets, where Ryan waxes nostalgic for way too long about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Mike picks the wrong Good Humor ice cream bar as his favorite.
Since it was just Halloween, we even go a little bit on a tangent about bad candy to get while trick or treating.

We're Back!
In this episode, we discuss food shows of all shapes and sizes. Informative shows, entertainment shows, and competition shows all get covered as we tell you which shows to watch and which ones aren't worth it.
Mike recommends a lot of Netflix shows that he can't remember the titles of, and Ryan lets you know his true feelings about Guy Fieri (It's not positive). Mike also alienates some television hosts who will probably never agree to do our show now. And we were so close to booking the Pioneer Woman!
Welcome back to Season Two!
We're kicking off with noodles of all shapes and sizes. Also, we use the term "noodles" very loosely as you will quickly hear. It's actually more of a "dough" show, per se...
Starting off with Italian pasta and noodles (which Mike didn't think would be long at all, but Ryan showed him!), then moving into Asian, and even touching on Americanized and Polish "noodles." We discuss everything from what sauces work best with what pasta to the proper way to cook ramen (spoiler alert: we disagree on what way is best).
Tonight's cigar is the Bohemian Bamboo from Victor Sinclair.
Here we are, at episode 10!
We're talking all about one of our favorite activities: cooking while camping! What you need to bring going in, what you should be prepared for, and what fun things you should cook.
Mike discusses what beef products you should consider cooking (spoiler: the answer is almost all types of beef), and Ryan tells you about the magic that is the Hobo Cooker.
Tonight's cigar is the Extra from Cuban Stock.
We've decided to pick one animal this episode and stick with it. Well, with our usual amount of digressions, anyway.
Chicken is on the menu this time, and we're telling you every way we can think of to prepare this versatile animal and all its various parts. From full grown to embryonic, you'll hear it all. Whether fried, baked, or using its eggs for breakfast.
The cigar this episode is the Bundle of Bo's from Delaware Cigars.
In a slight departure from our normal subjects (food), we're going to go over what we think are neccessities for anyone to have in their kitchen to do the basics and a little more.
Mike makes his case (and wins) for mandolins to be included. Ryan goes probably way to long about knives. We both talk about what pots and pans you have to get, if you don't already.
Tonight's cigar is the Gurkha Ghost, Angel (torpedo).
Sorry for the delay, Mike was ill.
We're talking all about tender, flakey crusts and delicious fillings tonight!
Ryan keeps going back and forth on his stance that fruit doesn't mix in his desserts, and Mike tries to sell Ryan on citrus pies. We each disclose our choice for top pie, and it turns out that we disagree on exactly what belongs in that slot. Shocker!
Brunch, dinner, and dessert all get some love with our choices of both sweet and savory pies.
Tonight's cigar is the Blood Red Moon Culebra by Cult Cigars
Be forewarned: This episode may clog your arteries!
Ryan and Mike talk about foods associated with fairs, carnivals, festivals, and amusement parks. So naturally, we spend a majority of the time discussing various fried foods. Learn what foods should and shouldn't be served in an outdoor carnival, we wonder why there aren't more meats on sticks, and Mike tries to fit as many relevant savory dishes as his mind grapes can conjure up.
It took Ryan a bit to figure out that Mike wanted to talk about sausages for this episode. Not to worry, though, we talk about stuffed tubes of meat of all shapes and sizes.
Ryan forces Mike to talk about hot dogs way more than he thought he was going to, we go into Polish and Irish sausages, and Ryan tries to get to the bottom of why Mike dislikes Italian sausages and chorizo.
Who doesn't love a buffet?
In this episode, we discuss what makes a good one, what makes a bad one, and common mistakes people make when going to one. You may even be guilty of one or more of these mistakes, and can now change your ways!
Note for this episode: The actual topic ends around 1 hour and 10 minutes, and we go more into ourselves and general topics after that point. If you're interested in learning a bit more about us, feel free to keep listening!
We should really change this to "Some of Our Top Meals," since we both decided we left off a lot of good ones. Don't worry, though, you'll still get a lot of great things to try when we talk about some of our favorite meals to eat.
Included in this episode, you can hear Mike go deep into oysters, Ryan touches on his love of all animal fat, and we look up what some death row inmates chose for their final meals.
If you've never used a slow cooker (or in Mike's case, a dutch oven...), you are missing out. If you HAVE used one, prepare for confirmation of how smart you are when we discuss one of Ryan's favorite kitchen appliances.
We share some tasty things to try and talk about why everyone needs multiple slow cookers in their house, much to Mike's disbelief.
Here we are, our very first episode!
To kick it off, we're discussing sandwiches. If you think sandwiches won't be a contentious subject, then you're about to find out what's in store for you with our podcast.
We discuss what exactly constitutes a sandwich, what some of our favorite sandwiches are, and what makes a bad one.
My being a neophyte at web design is certainly showing through in trying to get the RSS feed to post here on the site. Also I seem to be having difficulties figuring out exactly how to design the page. All is not lost I will enlist the help of others to get this page up and running in no time. now to find the others... Soon, we will have a working site with all the whistles and bells and color glossy 8''x10'' photos with circles and arrows and a paragraph description on the back, all showing that we knew what we were doing all along we knew it. You will see it will be done I promise. One day.
Your's,
Mike
