Our Christmas Day service message this week was shared by Bernie Hartog. The focus was the prophetic words throughout the Old and New Testaments declaring the coming of Jesus, our awesome Messiah.
We understand the importance of calibrating delicate instruments for measurement, because if they aren't calibrated properly, they won't measure properly. But have you ever considered the importance of calibrating your heart? If we want to be able to respond spiritually, then we need to be calibrated spiritually. Today, Ps Adrian shares a challenging message on the importance of calibrating your heart to the Word of God.
Why does God have you here? It’s to be a part of advancing the Kingdom of Heaven and achieving His purposes. When God is ready, we should be ready. God is ready all the time and He would have the church continue the ministry that Jesus began.
God is a faith-full God. Regardless of what we see in life, or what we are going through, we can depend on Him for He is always faithful. Sometimes all we get from God is "Trust Me", and as hard as that may be, it's the best thing we can do because He has proven Himself time and time again to always be faithful. Even when we don't understand what He is doing, we can always trust in Him.
Who is God? This is a great question for each of us to consider. Who is God to you? How would you describe Him to someone who asked you? Did you know that God thinks a great deal about you? He knows you intimately because of His incredible love for you. The Bible portrays God as our provider, our healer, our protector, our deliverer, our defence, our peace, our our shepherd and our righteousness. He sets us apart, He sets us free, He leads us, He guides us and He never leaves us or forsakes us. Today’s message from Pastor Adrian will totally inspire you as you learn who God is.
God has a deep love for all mankind that we just can't comprehend. This week, Chris Venables shares a message on the heart of the gospel and we pray that God touches your heart with this message.
Do you see God as your ministry partner or are you His? How much of your life have you really surrendered to God? It's easy for us to hold onto things we see as precious, but God wants everything and once He has everything, He will release us into His best for us. This week, Ps Adrian shares a challenging message that will encourage you to look and see how much of your life Jesus is Lord over.
The Bible has a lot to say to us about the responsibility of the father towards his children and family. Too many men delegate that responsibility to their wife, the church or the school, but Gods plans for us are good, and we do well to live His way over ours. This Father’s Day, Ps Bernie preaches a powerful message to dads and we pray that it is a blessing to you.
How do you see God? Many artists have tried to illustrate Him, and yet the Bible says we can not look at His face and live. If we could see Him, and if we could understand Him, that would bring Him down to our level but God is so much more. This week, Don O'Neal shares a message with us that reminds us that we serve a Holy God, and the joy we have in life is to continue to get to know Him, and reflect Him to others we meet.
How often do you consider God's Holiness? He wants us to understand His holiness because He even commands us to “Be holy because He is holy" (1 Peter 1:16). In today's message, Ps Adrian shared a very challenging message on the holiness of God.
The key prayer we have been praying during these 3 weeks of prayer and fasting is, “Lord what do you want me to do?” But what do we do when God gives tells us what He wants us what that is? This week, Ps Adrian shares some principles of prayer and how we respond based on the example of Elijah as seen in 1 Kings 18:41-44.
Have you ever considered what it takes to be a Vision Achiever? This week, Neville I'Anson shares on a the characteristics of being a Vision Achiever.
Have you ever been discouraged? If so, you are not alone. The Bible gives us many accounts of people who have been discouraged, but time and time again we see God come through for them. King David says in Psalms 118:5-6 “I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” This week, Adrian McKenna shares a very real word that comes from His own experience that we pray will be an encouragement for you because all of us need to know that God is faithful, He has appointed plan for your life, and He is more than able to be your Deliverer.
Psalm 119:105 tells us “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” so with this in mind, it makes sense for us to see what God’s Word says when we have a need in our lives because as Christians, we understand that the Bible is God’s Word to us and is our source of direction for all things in life. This week Ps Bernie shares a powerful message titled ‘Strengthening Family Relationships’ and since families are God’s design, seeing what His Word says about that makes complete sense. Our prayer is that this timely word challenges you to draw closer to God than ever before.
Did you know that God wants you to do great things? The key to that is wisdom, but what many don't know is that the Fear of the Lord is the foundation of Wisdom. We must understand that the Fear of the Lord is definitely not being afraid of God, but being terrified to be away from His presence. In this message, Ps Adrian shares a challenging word on the importance of living in the Fear of the Lord. Our prayer is that this timely word challenges you to draw closer to God than ever before.
Is doubt a bad thing for Christians? Not necessarily. When doubt raises its head, we have the opportunity to investigate and to wrestle with that which is pulling us down. God is there in those times so begin to push through if necessary till you come to a place you can surrender to God’s plan, because His greatest blessing is on the other side of your testing.
In Acts 2 we see the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the New Testament Church. This week Ps Bernie shares part 2 (week 1 not recorded) on the subject of Pentecost.
This week, as part of our bi-monthly brunch services, our focus was "Building Community" and we heard from a panel of people their various experiences of community life.
Steve McCracken preaches a powerful and inspiring message on the person of the Holy Spirit. Let us encourage you to no only listen to the message, but when there is a call to respond, that you do so, and immerse yourself in the presence of the Holy Spirit, encountering Him in a fresh way. Please let us know how you encountered Him. We'd love to hear back from you.
The Church Exists not for our purpose, but God's. With everything we see and experience every single day, it's good to periodically have a spiritual health check. In this challenging, yet powerful message, Steve McCracken takes us on a journey of "Assessment for the purpose of Kingdom Advancement".
God is absolutely crazy about you, but have you ever stopped to consider what He loves? How can we entertain Him? What things can we do to bring Him pleasure? In today's message, Pastor Adrian teaches us to consider how we can Entertain the King of kings.
The enemy has no desire to see you blessed. The Bible tells us that he comes to steal, kill and destroy so we need to be aware of his tactics, and live in the authority God has given us remembering that He is with us always.
This week Ps Bernie shares a powerful message from Philippians which is also know as the ‘Epistle of Joy’. This message Paul penned to the Philippian church whilst he was in jail, will challenge you and inspire you. May each of us come to a place where we pray for our church to become one and that we would see an incredible presence of God.
What are you doing with the time God has given you? We all have dreams in life but sometimes our dreams don't line up with God's. Discovering what God wants will help us to achieve something great in our lives for with God all things are possible. Through Him, the sky is indeed the limit.
Our Good Friday message for this year was shared by Bernie Hartog and is focusing on the powerful words Jesus spoke when He was hanging on the cross for us.
Somebody once said, “A purpose that costs you nothing is not worth having”. Do we really count the cost that is associated with passionate pursuit of Jesus? We have a sense of grace around what Christ has done, but to follow Him, there is a real cost. Today Ps Bernie shares a challenging word on the cost associated in following Jesus.
Have you ever wondered why you are going through what feels like a wilderness? In todays message, Ps Adrian covers something so many people have asked, "Why is God allowing this to happen to me?"
Psalms 90:12 teaches us to number, or weigh out our days. It’s easy to be swallowed up in the business of life, but we can choose to put God first every day we live. Today’s message from Ps Bernie is a challenging reminder for us to refocus our lives and put God first in all that we do.
As we read through the Bible, we see that throughout time, all the people God used were imperfect. Examples include David, Solomon, Moses, Abraham, Peter, Paul, James & John, and today, it includes each one of us. Today’s message by Don O’Neal is an important reminder of our imperfections which reinforce the need for us to depend on a perfect God. All of us can be used by God when we partner with Him, because it is through Him that we can do all things.
Coca Cola have the ambitious goal of putting a bottle of Coke within reach of every person on the planet, however God’s goal is bigger. His goal is more important. His goal is to make disciples of every person on the planet. Today’s message from Neville I’Anson challenges all of us to have a burning passion for those who need Jesus, to reach out to the lost and be disciple making disciple for Jesus.
God has a big plan for your life, so don't allow the lies of the enemy to dictate what you can't do. Let God's Word become the ruling authority in your life because when we align ourselves with all He wants, we can do some incredible things. We need to learn to Think Big, Believe Big and Live Big.
Jesus called us to be Kingdom Disciples, but He never intended we do anything without the power of the Holy Spirit. Today's message titled Turn on the Light is a powerful reminder of our need to not only include the Holy Spirit in all we do, but to also depend on Him, for without His fire burning in our lives, we can do nothing.
Psalms 145:4 says, “One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.” We enjoyed the testimonies from a number of people this week declaring the good things God has done. You have to pay attention when God is doing things in people you know.
When you pray, God isn't bored, or checking his phone for ePrayers He may have missed, He desires to be with you and He will sit with you for as long as you sit with Him. Today, Ps Adrian talks about intimacy with God, and how much God wants to be with you.
What could you see if…? It’s easy with everything that is going on around us to lose sight of God, but even with all we see happening around us, He wants us to keep our focus fixed on Him. Today’s message is an encouraging reminder that we can see things around us, but we don’t need to lose focus on the One Who really matters.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 6 that we are to Seek first the Kingdom. This is command He gives us, and today, Ps Adrian explains why we need to seek the Kingdom of God above anything else, especially in the days we see before us.
We love it when we encounter God, but what would happen if we begin to live in faith from a place where we see what God sees. This week, Ps Adrian shares a message titled "From Encounter to Action". Our prayer is that this message encourages and equips you to be all that you can be in God.
Families are God's idea, and every time God wanted to build something, He did it through covenant with His family. In this message we get to hear from others how they have been supported by our church family.
The first Sunday in November is the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted Church across the world. Today Neville looks at the persecuted church and some time is given for people to join and lead us in prayer.
The biggest hindrance to people sharing the gospel with others is fear. Many people feel the same way, and yet they don’t realise there is a way to break through that. Today, Ps Adrian shares a message called “You’ve Got Mail”, but it isn’t about something you are receiving, it is about the fact that you have something to say. Your story matters because it is a testimony of what God has done in your life, which makes it an important tool for you to use. Start writing your story, because you have a story to tell, and your story matters.
Ephesians 6:10-17 reminds us that the battle we face isn’t one against people, but rather our battle is spiritual which is why we are commanded to put on the whole armour of God. With the armour, we can stand against anything the enemy tries to bring us. This week, Michael Wood teaches on the armour of God and explains why each part is so necessary. Today, it is vitally important that we are fully equipped with our own armour so that having done all, we can stand.
If we are a new creation, and if we have a new identity, then there is going to be an outworking of that in our lives. That’s not just that we have a badge for others to see that we are Christians, there’s going to be a real outworking of that in our lives.
If we were asked to identify ourselves, more often than not, we would think about what we look like, or refer to things we have done. However, the Bible speaks about our identity as being in Christ. Today Ps Adrian looks at what God' Word says regarding our identity, because if God's Word is the final authority, then it must supersede everything else.
We serve a generational God. To Him, our generations are important, not only those after us, but also those before us. Our heritage matters as does our destiny. It’s not how we start the race that matters, it’s how we finish the race. Every generation needs to be willing to pay their own price to bring about a faithful and fruitful generation
Servanthood is more easily talked about than lived. Jesus is the perfect example of a servant, so a great question for us to ask ourselves to help us stay on course is this: “Can people see the stamp of Christ on us…?”
The Bible is full of verses on faith, and we are commanded to pray in faith, but all too often we struggle to believe. This week Bernie Hartog preaches a powerful message on what it means to have Audacious Faith.
It's great when we live out our day and suddenly have a moment where God leads us to pray for someone, or to do something for Him. But what would happen if rather than living our spiritual walk out of our daily lives, we chose to live our daily lives out of a place of the Spirit. In today's message, Ps Adrian revisits what it means to live a life led by the Spirit of God, because that's when we start to see God do incredible things through out lives. What sort of life do you want to lead?
In this message, Bernie explores community, fellowship and mission within the household of God. We need to understand that fellowship and mission are twin pillars of the church, for without a meaningful Christ-centred mission, there can be no true and lasting fellowship. The Great Commission which God gave all of us, is the foundation for purposeful fellowship in Christ.
We all live in community but do we understand what the Biblical definition of Community is. In today's message, Pastor Adrian looks at the Biblical definition of Community in a simple yet clear way that will 'Transform your View on Community'.
Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38) Whilst it can sometimes be challenging to help others, especially in this current climate, the Ecclesia sill has a common cause in Jesus. We are God’s labourers, His servants, set apart for Him to use as He will. In this message, Neville challenges us to look at what is happening, and as ourselves, “In what ways can I take action for God’s Kingdom?” We can pray, but as someone once said, “We can do more than pray after we have prayed”
Paul’s first letter to Timothy is the first of two letters to Timothy and one of three of Paul’s Pastoral letters. This week, Ps Bernie looks at 1 Timothy:6 which is the final message in our six part series on 1 Timothy.
Paul’s first letter to Timothy is the first of two letters to Timothy and one of three of Paul’s Pastoral letters. This week, Ps Adrian looks at chapter 5 of First Timothy which is the fifth message in our six-part series.
Paul’s first letter to Timothy is the first of two letters to Timothy and one of three of Paul’s Pastoral letters. This week, Neville I’Anson looks at chapter 4 of First Timothy which is the fourth message in our six part series.
Paul’s first letter to Timothy is the first of two letters to Timothy and one of three of Paul’s Pastoral letters. This week, Michael Wood looks at chapter 3 of First Timothy which is the third message in our six part series.
Paul’s first letter to Timothy is the first of two letters to Timothy and one of three of Paul’s Pastoral letters. In this message, Ps Bernie discusses chapter 2 of First Timothy, the second in our six part series.
This message is the first in a six-week series on the Apostle Paul’s first letter to Timothy. Paul and Timothy had a very close relationship and Timothy was a trusted part of Paul’s inner circle. False teaching had started to affect the Church and so Paul commissioned to work with the church in Ephesus, confront these false teachers and bring restoration to church.
Have you ever felt you just don't have enough to live on, let alone give to the work of the Kingdom? You may not realise this, but the Bible has principles for us to live by and for thousands of years, people have found that when they live by them, they work because God wants to see His children blessed - we just need to do things His way. We often see people who appear to be doing well, but too often we don't get to hear their story. In today's panel discussion, we hear from several people who, when they were struggling, chose to do things God's way. As a result they saw His favour at work time after time. You can never out-give God.
Pentecost Sunday was the day the Holy Spirit was sent to empower the church. Everything Jesus did was under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. He never intended that we do anything less. This powerful message is a good reminder that we are not only clothed in the Holy Spirit, God intended us to walk in the anointing and power the the Holy Spirit brings. We are never alone!
Can you afford to or not afford to? So many people say they can't afford to give, but Ps Bernie shares what the Bible says about tithing and why we can't afford not to.
Jesus commanded us to "Make disciples of all nations" and considering the state of the world around us, we now need to consider more than ever how we can partner with Jesus to help Him fulfil His Great Commission.
If someone was to walk some dirt into our homes, we would clean it up straight away because we can see it, but what about the dirt that works into the carpet through everyday use. Our carpet may look clean but when you actually clean it properly you see what has been hidden. Sometimes little things creep into our lives that we miss because the are subtle or small changes. What things have you allowed to creep into your life or even your home? As a disciple of Jesus, it’s a good thing to occasionally review things happening in your life. Are there things the Holy Spirit wants to put His finger on so that you can be more of a Disciple, living each day to become more like Jesus?
Jesus had a great love for the temple. He loved to be where people were so He could impart life and hope. We as members of His body, and also as His temple, need to have a grasp of that same love for people so that we can live like Jesus did. Listen to today's message to gain greater perspective on "The Life of a Disciple - In the Temple"
Teaching our children to pray is an important step in their own walk with God. Jesus commanded us to "Go and make disciples" and all this starts at home.
This week we continue with our new series on “The Life of A Disciple.” Ps Bernie’s message looks at what it means to be a disciple. God wants us to have wisdom. James tells us this and we see all through the Bible that wisdom is something we need to pursue. If we want the Wisdom of God functioning in our lives, we need to do things God’s way.
Being a disciple of Jesus is not a title, it is something we live out by choice. When it comes to being a disciple, we can all have times where we feel like a failure, but Jesus does not see us that way, because He is not finished with us. Many people have ideas about what it is to be a disciple, but the one we need to look at to see how to live, is Jesus Himself. He was the perfect Disciple, and He is our perfect role-model.
Unconditionally love for others which is not driven by a 'because' is a powerful demonstration of Jesus in our lives and becomes a very powerful demonstration of what it means to truely live in community with others.
When the disciples saw Jesus and realised that the miracles He performed were so effective because of the amount of time He prayed, they asked Him to teach them to pray. He didn't only teach them how to pray, Jesus taught them the keys to being effecting. Prayer is only a part of the journey.
With everything that is happening around us, some people want to bunker down and look after themselves, but a major key to our personal victory and our victorious Christian living and is embracing and being involved with what God is doing today.
Just as every cell in our body is assigned a purpose by our unique DNA, so too, we as cells in God's body are also assigned a DNA Code. We are a part of God's body which means our purpose is the same as His purpose, our mission is the same as His mission, our calling is the same as His calling.
The Apostle Paul compares our life to that of a race, and like him, the focus of everything in our lives need to be the finish line rather than the hurdles. No matter what we face in this coming year, our purpose in God is still to reach the lost, and make disciples. Focus not on the hurdles, but rather the finish line and those you can bring across with you.
Experiences we have carried throughout this year have affected all of us, but as we finish this year, we need to leave all our disappointments, frustrations and more at the foot of the cross, so we can walk into a new year without the baggage of the previous year.
When we hear the phrase "the Spirit of Christmas" do we really know what it means. In this Christmas message, Ps Adrian looks at what the real Spirit of Christmas is in relation to Jesus Command for us to fulfil the Great Commission.
In this message Bernie Hartog shares a powerful message on Faith and Hope from 1 Corinthians 13.
Having a meaningful devotional life is a vital part of any Christian’s life, but many people struggle to know just how to do it. Using the acronym S.O.A.P. Ps Adrian teaches us how to lead a simple but meaningful devotional life around the Bible - God’s Word to us. This method is incredibly simple and yet effective and is something that can be done on our own, and even with our children. Why not make a resolute decision that from today, your spiritual life will take a new turn for the supernatural.
The Bible isn't just a 'Good Book', is God speaking to us. Psalms 119:105 says that it is 'a lamp to our feet and a light to our path'. God's Word is a gift to us because He intended for it to help us in our everyday lives.
Worship is more than singing and lifting hands. There are a number of additional aspects to worship we need to consider such as adjusting our our attitude, praying for our leaders, reading God’s word, obeying His commands and even blessing those around us so that God is able to bless them. Today’s message looks at some of the different aspects of worship, and our prayer is that as you listen to this message, that worship as an important part of your walk with God, will grow to a whole new level.
Worship is an important part of our walk with God, but do we really worship as God wants us to, or are we distracted by things that we like that we think God wants? This Series helps to disciple in the area of worship, and looks at the Heart of worship, or that which is the foundation of worship.
Coming out of Covid restrictions, we felt God leading us into a fresh ‘Reset’ as He has been leading us for a while, saying that He wants to do a new thing. In today's message Ps Adrian and the team talk about the reasons behind why God has been leading us to do church in this new way.
Faith means persuasion or conviction through argument. The more we study God’s Word, the more our faith will grow, and our conviction that God will do what He said He will do will become stronger. No matter what walls you see before you, God is bigger than your walls. Allow your conviction to come from trust in His word above anything else.
This week we had a panel on stage to answer questions around the topic of prayer. Each of them have had their own experiences in life where they had to stand believing that God would breakthrough for them, and each of them have seen that He is the God Who is more than enough.
Did you know that God wants us to encounter Him? Every time someone encountered Him in the Gospels their encounter was a life changing one. God loves us and He does not change. People encountered Him before, and they still do today.
Prayer is a very important part of our spiritual walk, and yet many underestimate the power of a praying family.
The Bible tells us that we wouldn't even come to salvation if it wasn't for the Father drawing us. We have so much to be grateful to God for.
We are called to give our lives for the sake of the Gospel, and that doesn't just mean going on mission trips overseas, God has called us to love others, to be God with skin on to those around us.
According to the words of Jesus, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is what we need to empower us to do what God has called us to do for we are called to be more than witnesses, we are called to give our lives for the Gospel, but we don't have to do any of this alone; the Holy Spirit is the One who empowers and leads us in all He has for us to do.
Communion is far more than partaking of a bit of bread and juice on Sundays. God wants to partner with us every single day and communion is a remembrance and a declaration of the covenant partnership we have with Him.
When we pray, our faith needs to be filled with an expectation that God will move as of now. In addition, God also has expectations for us. He believes in us and trusts us because He knows that when we partner with Him in faith, together, we will change the world.
Neville and De from Mercy Aid International share their personal story and give us a bit more insight into what Mercy Aid International is all about.
Even though to you, the tide may seem like it is out, God is capable of using this situation that has caused harm and fear and panic. He can use it for good.
We need to do is align our vision with God, but we also need to align our faith and our voice with what He wants.
In all that we see around us, we need God more than ever, but one of the things we need to do is align our vision with Him, asking Him to show us what He sees. As we align with Him, things will begin to change for the better.
Pentecost Sunday is not just another day. It's a day marking the release of the Holy Spirit into the world. It’s a day marking the release of the ministry of the church. It’s a day marking a change in History. Do you now the importance of the Holy Spirit in your life?
When things don't make sense, when things are tough, when things aren't seeming to work, it's important that we each remember, 'God is on my side'
The Requirement to honour is a Kingdom principle set in place by God Himself. If we won't honour, we actually set ourselves in a place where God can't bless us
You are made in God's image and likeness and also to live in dominion and authority which means the words you speak are an important part of Kingdom living.
When Jesus taught us to pray, He included, "Your Kingdom Come". What did He mean by that. Was God's Kingdom a place or something more? This message is the first of a series titled, "Your Kingdom Come."
What foundation are you building on? In these uncertain times, your foundation needs to be strong. The choice is yours
In times of difficulties and challenges like we are seeing right now, it's important that we 'Re-Focus' on the One who has the name that is above EVERY other name.
