In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett explores the profound spiritual transformation of James, the brother of Jesus, moving from a state of skeptical unbelief to devout leadership. Initially, his extreme familiarity with Jesus’ humanity acted as a barrier, causing him to view Christ's divine claims with mockery and resentment.
Student Pastor Michael Thigpen shares an important message about how our lives should point to one thing. Our life is a gift from the Father! Are we living it to gratify Him. Thankful in the good time, building our testimony through the hard time. Are we living like Jesus did.
In this sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the story about the man born blind. There are many times when we are called to wait upon the Lord. But there are also times when we decide to wait even though God has given us the green light to move forward. One reason people don't move forward is they are waiting for things to be perfect. They are waiting on the approval of certain people. They are waiting on a pain-free opportunity to make a change. That type of waiting is actually disobeying.
In this stand-alone message, Terry Kruger shares a message from Titus 2:11-15. While we wait for the blessed hope—the return of Jesus Christ—believers are to live transformed lives shaped by His grace. Christ gave Himself to redeem us and purify a people who are eager to do what is good.
In this Christmas Eve message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the idea that Jesus can relate with us because He has faced similar fears. The three fears that are of focus during this message are Fear of the Unknown, Fear of What Others Think, and Fear of Not Having Enough.
We see traces of the cross in the Christmas story. We can’t separate the joy of Jesus' birth from the purpose of His death. Christmas is incomplete if it celebrates the cradle, but ignores the cross. The cross didn’t cancel Joy. It completed it.
Have you ever experienced some chaos at Christmas? There was much chaos at that first Christmas. In the Christmas story, we see that even when life feels out of control, God is still in control — and His joy shows up right in the middle of our chaos. Joy doesn’t disappear in crisis — it deepens when we see God’s hand guiding us through the chaos. Joy is a choice rooted in faith, not feelings. Obedience to God's call opens the door to joy.
In this first message of our Christmas Joy series, Pastor Frank shares the joy of the calling to follow Christ. God’s calling may interrupt our plans, but it always leads to lasting joy when we trust His purpose. God’s calling may cost you comfort, but it will never cost you His presence.
Paul reminds us as he did with the church of Ephesus, that we were (past tense) spiritually dead but because of God’s great mercy, love and the free gift of Grace for those that came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, are now alive to God. For those who do not have a saving faith Christ, they can receive God’s free gift of grace.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank shares the lesson from Blind Bartimaeus about how to have a faith that moves mountains. We also are reminded that some mountains in our lives were made to be moved by faith. But some mountains remain in order to move our faith.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares two stories in scripture that help us know when we should stay or when we should go. If God has called us to do something, He will give us staying power. For us to move from where we are to where God wants us to be, it will require us to go deeper.
Many of us live with a quiet sense of condemnation or a performance-driven fear of failure. In this message, we see the amazing act of grace when Jesus stoops to our level between us and our accuser. Jesus then commands us to go and sin no more.
In this single sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the importance that dying to self has on the beauty of our spiritual growth and change. The Christian life is not about turning over a new leaf, but receiving a new life.
This single sermon by Pastor Frank Bennett is about moving from a life of simply knowing about God to one where we truly know and experience Him personally through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Together, we will unpack what it means to live a Spirit-filled life.
In this sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett goes into detail about how the Apostle Paul explains the reason for the armor of God and then how to use it. We look at each spiritual equipment as it relates to spiritual battles.
Pastor Frank Bennett shares an important attribute of God that is only mentioned once in scripture. We are reminded in the book of Zephaniah that God sings over us. Even in the middle of our consequences of sin, God shows that He is present, powerful, takes great pleasure in us, quiets us with His love and sings at the top of His lungs. Take to heart this encouraging message.
In this stand alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares a message about the principle of firsts. If God is first in your life, then other things will come into order. This does not mean you will not have problems. But would you rather go through tribulation with everything in order or everything out of order? If God is not first in your life, then other things will be out of order.
In this stand alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the POINT of Evangelism. It's important to PRAY for those God has chosen you to reach, to OWN your responsibility to share your faith, the INVITE those around you to church and a new life in Christ, to listen to the NEEDS of those you come in contact, and to share your TESTIMONY of what Jesus has done in your life.
In this final sermon of our Artificial Integrity series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how one person responded to the choice that could have caused him to live a life of Artificial Integrity. We learn from King David the importance of allowing trusted people who will be honest with you. We also learned to surrender in humility and to prepare for the consequences that will occur. We finally learned how to properly walk in restoration.
For this week in our Artificial Integrity series, we take a look at the story of the rich young ruler. The Artificial Integrity we see in this man is him trying to be good, his idol of being successful, and his problem of being independent with his faith. He was so close, yet so far from living an authentic faith
In week three of this series, we focus on the early Church, contrasting its devotion, unity, and radical generosity with the deceptive actions of Ananias and Sapphira, who gave with wrong motives, withheld funds they pledged, and operated under false pretenses, ultimately lying to God. The question for them and for us today is, "What are you holding back?"
In this second sermon of our Artificial Integrity series, we look at the story of King Saul's disobedience. Through this story, we identify four indicators of artificial integrity: allowing sin to linger, deflecting blame, treating God's commands as mere requests rather than directives, and becoming distant from God. Our response should be wholehearted submission to God's will over mere compliance, emphasizing that true obedience is more vital than empty religious acts.
In this first sermon of our Artificial Integrity series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the seven woes given by Jesus that outlined ways the teachers of the Law were pretending to walk in righteousness. We look at ways these woes can show up in our lives today that reveal we are fake with our faith.
Guest speaker Bobby Martin shares what we can learn from the story of Joseph in the way he handled trials. Life will throw you a crazy ride. So fasten your seatbelts and trust in the Lord.
In this stand alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the POINT of prayer. This prayer plan includes the steps of Praise, Offering, Intercession, Needs, and Thanksgiving. You can find this plan on the prayer page of our mobile app. Search LakePointOnline in your app store.
In this final message of the series through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the important truth that the Gospel ministry of Jesus must continue. We see three things in these final verses. The see a call to believe, a command to go, and a commitment to continue what Jesus started.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the Easter story. The main points outline how the Gospel "waits," emphasizing God's patience as individuals consider accepting faith, and then how the Gospel requires "faith" itself, encouraging believers to step forward despite uncertainties. Furthermore, the text illustrates the "grace" inherent in the Gospel, particularly through the angel's specific mention of Peter, who had denied Jesus, signifying God's forgiveness. Finally, it concludes with the idea that the Gospel "proclaims," suggesting that personal transformation leads to sharing the good news with others.
We take time to get to know the man who requested the body of Jesus after his death on the cross. We learn how to apply in our own lives the various aspects of courage that it took for Joseph to accomplish this extremely important job.
During today's message from the Gospel of Mark series, Student Minister Michael Thigpen takes us to the scene of the cross in Mark 15 and reminds us that the cross was no coincidence, but rather all part of God's master plan.
In this message from our Gospel of Mark series, we take close look at scene of Jesus before Pilate. We see proof of a great exchange take place during this passage when Jesus takes the place of Barabbas and also takes the place of our sin. Like Barabbas, there are many people still sitting in their prison of their past sin, when the prison doors have actually been opened.
We look at the lack of commitment by Peter towards Jesus at a very pivotal moment of his life. From this passage, we understand four takeaways for our own lives when we display a lack of commitment. A lack of commitment creates distance, causes instability and brokenness, but also creates space for grace to abound.
In this message from Pastor Frank Bennett, we visit the scene of the unjust trial of Jesus that is filled with false accusations and lies. We also see how Jesus responds to those. When Satan attacks us with accusations, we need to remember there is missing evidence from the lies. We also need to only respond to the truth and ignore the lies.
This sermon explores different expressions of loyalty, particularly in the context of Jesus' arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. The sermon draws lessons from the actions of Judas, Peter, and Jesus himself, highlighting the nature of true devotion versus false or misguided loyalty.
We honor our high school graduating seniors with this special service led by several of our Lake Point Students.
An exploration of God's unconditional love, particularly in contrast to human weakness and pride, based on Mark 14:26-31.
This sermon analyzes the significance of Communion, drawing insights from the Gospel of Mark and other biblical passages. It explores the historical context of the Last Supper as both the final Passover and the first Communion, emphasizing Jesus' sacrifice as the fulfillment of the Old Covenant. The sermon also interprets the symbolic meaning of the bread as Christ's body and participation in the Christian community, and the cup as representing the new covenant established by His blood.
This message, focusing on the events leading up to Jesus' betrayal, specifically Judas Iscariot's plan to turn Jesus over and the Last Supper preparations. Jesus' actions demonstrate God's willingness to be "uncomfortably close," even to those who are distant or planning betrayal, emphasizing a "plan of love" that includes everyone. The piece also emphasizes the disciples' reaction to the announcement of betrayal, noting their introspection and the importance of self-examination when facing sin or failure.
This Easter message explores the profound power of love as demonstrated through the Christian narrative, highlighting its presence from the cross, where Christ sacrificed himself for humanity, and from the empty grave, signifying resurrection and new life. It emphasizes that Jesus is the resurrection and can free individuals from what burdens them, arguing that accepting love from Heaven as a free gift is crucial. The core theme revolves around the idea that God's love is the driving force behind salvation and the power to overcome life's difficulties.
This sermon explores the concept of a deep love for Christ, using the biblical account of a woman anointing Jesus with expensive perfume as a central illustration. It outlines five key hallmarks of this profound love: worship, extravagance, disregard for worldly opinion, resulting spiritual insight, and divine approval.
Student Minister, Michael Thigpen, shares this message with the simple question. Are You Ready? In Mark 13:28-37, Jesus tells us to watch for the signs that point to His second coming, We do not know the day or hour. But we can watch for the signs.
This sermon provides a detailed review of the "Second Coming of Jesus". The main themes revolve around the disciples' questions to Jesus about the timing and signs of his return and the end of the age, Jesus' subsequent prophecy involving cosmic disturbances and the arrival of the Son of Man in glory, and the gathering of believers. The sermon uses scripture from the Gospels (Mark, Matthew, Luke), Old Testament prophecies (Daniel, Isaiah, Joel), and the Book of Revelation, to construct its understanding of these events. Key concepts discussed include the destruction of the Temple, the signs preceding the Second Coming, the "Day of the Lord," the Tribulation period, the Rapture, and the ultimate return of Christ in power and glory.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett outlines a specific eschatological (end times) view, primarily drawing from the Book of Revelation and Jesus's teachings in Mark 13. The sermon focuses on a pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, followed by a seven-year tribulation period marked by escalating divine judgments, the rise of the antichrist, and culminating in the second coming of Jesus.
This sermon describes the coming world ruler, the antichrist, detailing his characteristics and actions based on prophecies from Daniel, Revelation, and other New Testament books. It also describes the intense suffering and persecution that will occur during the Tribulation, emphasizing the importance of being spiritually prepared.
This sermon outlines the blueprint of the Rapture, highlighting Jesus's descent, a commanding voice, an archangel's call, and a trumpet sound, followed by believers being caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
This sermon by Pastor Frank Bennett focuses on Jesus' teachings in Mark 13 concerning the end times. The Pastor Frank breaks down this chapter into five key themes: Destruction, Deception, Disaster, Distress, and Declaration. The sermon emphasizes the speaker's belief that these signs are increasingly evident in the present day, indicating that we are living in the "last days."
Mark 12:35-44 explores Jesus's identity during Passover Week. It examines Jesus's teachings within the temple, particularly his challenge to traditional views of the Messiah. This passage emphasizes Jesus as both the Son of God and a figure who confronts hypocrisy. It highlights his defense and protection of the "poor in spirit," using the example of the widow's offering. This passage aims to help us reflect on our personal relationship with Jesus,
This sermon, based on Mark 12:18-27, explores the nature of the afterlife, specifically addressing the Sadducees' challenge to Jesus regarding the resurrection. The sermon highlights that God is the God of the living, that earthly marriage is a metaphor for the relationship between Christ and the Church, and that there is no marriage in heaven.
This sermon uses the passage in Mark 12:13-17, where Jesus is questioned about paying taxes to Caesar, to explore the broader themes of authority, particularly God’s authority over our lives. The sermon focuses on two key questions: Does God have authority over our mouths, and does God have authority over our money? It connects these ideas to the concepts of tithing, offerings, and living in proper priority with God. The speaker uses the analogy of the coin bearing Caesar’s image and applies it to Christians bearing God's image.
Mark chapter 7 shows an encounter with Jesus and a mother who had a major problem with a demon-possessed child. She begged Jesus for help. His reaction would seem disheartening towards her crisis. But what we learn is that sometimes the Lord will be quiet at our requests just to grow our faith. Pastor Frank Bennett shares 5 marks of a great faith.
In this message from our Gospel of Mark series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the dangers of a divided heart as seen with how King Herod handled the beheading of John the Baptist. The picture of a divided heart is when we stand at the crossroads of who to believe. We are given the opportunity or choice to make that decision. But there's hope in the remedy of a divided heart.
In this message, we focus on two stories found in Mark chapter five that overlap one another and help teach the same lesson. That lesson is also found in Isaiah chapter 55: His ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God can see it all. He understands it all. He wants us to place our full trust in Him, even during the delays of answering or meeting our need.
After the Parable of the Sower, Jesus goes on to explain how there are three responses that will enable us to produce the amount of fruit that Jesus says is available and that God wants for our lives. Pastor Frank Bennett shares those three responses in this message.
In Mark chapter 4, Jesus begins with the Parable of the Sower. We learn of four types of soils for planting. These soils also represents types of heart conditions for receiving the word of God. Jesus is asking us which heart best describes us. Are you a hard heart, a shallow heart, and crowded heart, or a good heart?
In Mark chapter three, we see three groups of people respond to Jesus in different ways. One group thinks Jesus is a liar. Another group thinks Jesus is a lunatic, while another group considers Him to be Lord. Mark is asking us this question...Is Jesus considered to be a liar, a lunatic, or a Lord?
We look at the teachings of Jesus about binding and loosing. Jesus has given the Church authority to bind things on earth, which will be bound in heaven and to loose things on earth, which will be loosed in heaven. We have authority to walk in victory through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus and our sins were bound on earth while on the cross. Jesus was also loosed from the grave to conquer death at the resurrection. His sacrifice and resurrection was bound and loosed on earth and also in heaven.
We often think that God rested on the 7th day because He was tired from all His work. it's hard to believe God was tired. He actually rested to take in and observe all His wonderful creation. Our Sabbath should begin with praising God for all He has accomplished over our previous week. We should approach observing our Sabbath not as an obligation (which it is a commandment), but rather a gift we receive from the Lord. Man was not created for the Sabbath, but the Sabbath for man.
Through the questioning from the Pharisees about fasting, Jesus answers with abstract explanations of the difference between following religion and following Him. Jesus brings celebration, whereas religion brings condemnation. Jesus offers new life, whereas religion offers to just patch up our lives. Jesus brings a bigger life, whereas religion brings a brittle life.
In this message from Mark chapter two, we look at the calling of Matthew, who was known as the biggest sinner in the city due to his job of collecting overcharged taxes from the Jewish people. Jesus shows that He can call anyone, no matter the weight of their sin, the scope of their reputation, or the shame that haunts them. Many people like Matthew want to get out of their sinful situation, but just don't know how. Jesus points the way and calls us to "follow me".
For the first time in the Gospel of Mark we see the authority of Jesus over sin. In this encounter with the paralyzed man, Jesus sees things the crowd and even the ready may not see. He saw their faith. He saw the man's deepest need. And Jesus saw the cross.
In this message of our Gospel of Mark series, we visit the encounter with Jesus and a man with leprosy. As with our own spiritual leprosy, we need to first come to Jesus just as we are. Jesus will draw near and "touch" us to show we're not alone. And finally, we will experience Jesus take our place in the hurt, the sick, and the shame.
The Gospel ministry of Jesus had much purpose. We learn from Mark chapter one His Gospel was powerful as many people were healed and demons cast out. His Gospel was also personal as Jesus displays His personal time with God in prayer. And His Gospel was public. Everyone is looking for Jesus. We need to tell others and don't keep the good news to ourselves.
in Mark 1:21-28, Jesus shows us His authority when confronted with a man possessed by a demon. We see many demons in the Gospels make themselves known because of Jesus. For the most part, demons today do not want to make themselves known. They want to be discreet. The work of Satan and his demons are just as much active today. It just looks a little different. We can even find demonic influence in the church and the leaders. But Jesus has given us His same authority through the power of the Holy Spirit living in those of us who follow Jesus.
As we continue in chapter one of the Gospel of Mark, we come across the calling of the disciples to follow Jesus. We see in this passage three elements to the calling of Jesus. It's an urgent call, a personal call, and a transformational call. As believers, we are called to be a part of the Kingdom of God. This kingdom doesn't stop at our conversion to Christ. Jesus is our Savior when we repent and believe. But Jesus is also our Shepherd when we choose to follow Him. Many Christians just have a Savior. But He longs to also be your Shepherd. Will you choose to follow Him today?
In this second week of our series through the Gospel of Mark, we visit the scene where Jesus was baptized and was then driven out to the wilderness by the Holy Spirit. We all will face seasons of wilderness. We arrive their in one of three ways: decision, disruption, and direction. Our poor decisions can land us in the wilderness. Disruptions in life that are of no fault to ourselves can land us in the wilderness. And finally, God can direct us into the wilderness in order to grow in your faith.
We begin a new sermon series through the Gospel According to Mark. In this first message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares background information on the author and the book. We then see the ministry of John the Baptist as he paves the way for Jesus by preparing the hearts of the people to receive the message of a new kingdom. Like John calling people out to the wilderness for baptism, God calls us out to our wilderness to experience Him.
In this stand-alone sermon, Discipleship Pastor Terry Kruger shares an important message from Romans 12:1-2 about our supreme act of worship. True worship is to offer ourselves wholly and continually to the Lord as living sacrifices. From the day of your salvation to when you die and go to heaven we are to offer ourselves wholly and continually without any strings attached.
Are you afraid of the dark? It's difficult to have peace when you're scared. The defeater of darkness is light. The Christmas story is about darkness being interrupted by light. In the final message of our Missing Peace series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares lessons from the Christmas narrative on how to deal with the darkness that enters our lives.
Have you ever had to wait on something? We all have at some point. Some seasons of waiting are more serious than others. In the Christmas story we read that the people of Israel had to wait hundreds of years for the Messiah to be born. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares that while you're waiting God is working. God's delays are not necessarily God's denials. It could be that whatever God is working on could be ready, but you may not be ready. God will often do something IN you before doing something FOR you.
Have you ever had your plans changed? It's never convenient and usually catches you not prepared. These interruptions could actually be invitations from God to turn your plans into a great purpose ordained by God. We see how Jesus and Mary responded to changed plans. Pastor Frank Bennett leads us to this understanding in week two of our Missing Peace Christmas series.
In week one of our Missing Peace Christmas series, Pastor Frank Bennett takes us on a visit to some storms in the life of Jesus and during the first Christmas. Jesus gives us His peace. It’s not the peace of the world. Because the Jesus peace is not of this world means that the world can’t take it from you.
In this stand-alone sermon, Discipleship Pastor, Terry Kruger, shares a message about evangelism. Wherever where we are, we are the beautiful feet that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world that needs hope.
In this stand-alone sermon, guest speaker, Michael Phelps, shares lessons from a familiar story found in Exodus about how God reveals his character to us and uses imperfect people to serve him and accomplish His will. God desires an intimate relationship with us and sees what we are going through. He asks us to go on a journey of making His glory known.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how you can surrender the vision of your family to the Lord by identifying and living out a vision frame starting with a purpose. The family vision frame can be created by answering four simple questions.
In this message from our "Be Real" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how we can be real Christians by the way we love one another. Taken from the letter of First John, real love is displayed when we develop a love for God by obeying His word. We need to stay walking in the light and not have a love for the world. And finally, our genuine love needs to be accompanied with action.
In this message of our "BeReal" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares five elements that we as Christians need to include when being an example in how we conduct ourselves for other believers based on Ephesians 4:1-3.
In this single stand-alone message, Discipleship Pastor Terry Kruger shares practical application from the temptations of Jesus. Jesus was tested three times by Satan after His 40 days of fasting being in the desert. With each temptation, Jesus gave a response that countered Satan’s test. Through each temptation and Jesus’s response we have actions we can take in our daily lives.
In this single stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett discusses the LifeGroup that gave Jesus some people in which to do life with while on His mission to save humanity. This LifeGroup gives us characteristics that we can enjoy in our own LifeGroup.
In this single stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the warning signs that indicate our spiritual lives are running on empty. We take a look at a miracle found in the Old Testament that give us the steps needed for when we find ourselves running on empty.
In this final message of our "Living On A Prayer" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares some truths about spiritual warfare and how to win our battles. We must submit to the Lord, resist the enemy, and confront the enemy everyday. The devil is real and our prayer time needs to include a level of spiritual warfare.
For this week's message in our Living On A Prayer series, Pastor Frank Bennett leads us to a deep dive into another prayer plan based on Psalm 23. This famous Psalm incorporates the names and attributes of God that we can use as a prayer plan.
We look at another prayer model this week in our "Living On A Prayer" series. Discipleship Pastor Terry Kruger leads us to understand how we can use this powerful prayer model in our own lives.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett gives the model Jesus prayer known as the Lord's Prayer. Jesus did not just give us a prayer to recite by memory. He gave us an outline of a prayer that can make our time with the Lord highly effective.
In this message Pastor Frank Bennett shares elements found in a powerful prayer group in the book of Acts that we can use in our own prayer lives to bring more power and impact to the discipline of prayer.
Have you ever felt overlooked, under appreciated, underpaid, or unnecessary? In this single sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what God thinks about us based on Psalm 139. In this message we are reminded that God knows us, pursues us, made us, has a plan for us, and wants peace for us.
In this stand alone sermon, Pastor Terry Kruger shares how we have the ultimate example in Jesus of how to face persecutions and live in a sinful world.
In this single sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the calling of Elisha. We learn in this story how to respond when God calls us. We need to pay attention to that calling, tell others to keep us accountable, and burn the plows so there is nothing pulling us back to our old ways.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Terry Kruger shares from Hebrews chapters 4 and 5 about Jesus being our perfect high priest. We can relate with him because He felt pain, sadness, and was tempted. He was the final sinless sacrifice for mankind and the mediator between us and God. We can approach the throne of God with confidence because of Jesus.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett uses the encounter of Elijah and the prophets of Baal as an illustration of how Christians can respond to a nation that is living in freedom to do and identify as whatever they wish no matter how much it contradicts with Biblical principles. The question from Elijah about who they will serve applies now more than ever. We are called to live in freedom from sin but to also walk in freedom to oppose sin and confront it.
In this message from Matthew 7:1-6, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the teaching of Jesus on the proper way to judge. As Christians we are to judge between right and wrong and be set apart from the world. But we should not judge others as if we are the standard of goodness. Those who pass judgement on others for differences of opinion are attempting to take God's place of judgement over His people. With that said, we will not help people find Jesus if we are angry at them or if we affirm of their lifestyle.
In this message of our Sermon On the Mount series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the words of Jesus reminding us not to worry about our needs being met. Living in constant worry about money is a way of "serving" money instead of serving God. Living in fear Jesus says, is not the point of real life. To live in worry about the money we don't have is living under the control of money, rather than the control of God. Living to serve God includes trusting Him to provide what is needed without living in fear and anxiety.
In this message from our Sermon On the Mount series, Pastor Frank Bennett leads us into three questions from Matthew chapter 6. Where is your treasure? Where is your focus? Who do you serve? You can find the answer to these questions in Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is there your heart will be also."
In chapter six of the book of Matthew, Jesus brings the focus of this message from things we should not be doing to things we should be doing. There are three things Jesus shares that we should practice in a way that will help us take the attention off of ourselves. Those three things are giving, praying, and fasting. The common approach to all of these is to do them in secret.
In week four of our Sermon On the Mount series, Pastor Frank Bennett visits the next three examples that Jesus uses for believers to walk in righteousness. Making false promises, revenge, and loving our enemies are topics that cut to the heart to reveal what's really there. In the end, Jesus tells us to be perfect like God is perfect. That's impossible, and that's the point Jesus is making. Apart from God's holiness through faith in Jesus, we can't be presented as spotless and perfect. Jesus makes us perfect.
Pastor Frank Bennett helps us understand when Jesus makes the connection between sins of action and sins of attitude. Jesus gives us examples of what a better righteousness looks like as it flows from the heart. Those examples are how we handle anger, lust, and divorce.
In week two of our Sermon On the Mount series, Pastor Frank Bennett takes us through Matthew 5:13-20 where Jesus tells Christians we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We visit what that means for us today in this message.
In this first message of our Sermon On the Mount series, Pastor Terry Kruger explains the beatitudes as Jesus shares in Matthew 5:1-12. There is much application in this passage regarding our humility, our desire, and our persecution.
We celebrate the risen Savior for this Easter service. Pastor Frank Bennett shares the amazing connection between Isaac and Jesus to help us understand the heart of obedience in sacrifice. There is much to learn from Abraham's actions that we can apply to our life of obedience. In order to have new life, something must die. What do you need to lay down at the altar in order to have new life?
In this final message of our Jesus Revolution series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the costs of a revolution based on what we read in Matthew 8:18-23. What are the costs of following Jesus? Following His commands, placing Jesus first, and following up on your commitment.
In this week four message of our Jesus Revolution series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the impact that a Jesus Revolution can make and has made since Jesus came to establish His kingdom.
In week two our Jesus Revolution series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the approach to a revolution as seen in scripture. As with the woman who approached Jesus because of her 12-year medical condition, we need to approach with humility. As with the man with the withered hand, we need to be transparent when approaching Jesus. And finally, as with the rich young ruler who approached Jesus, we need to be willing to let go of things we hold dear if we truly want a Jesus Revolution in our own lives.
In week 3 of our Jesus Revolution series, Pastor Frank Bennett uses a familiar passage of scripture to explain how we must share the Jesus revolution that has taken place in our hearts, lives, and churches. There are thirsty people all around us trying to be satisfied with things other than Jesus.
There were signs that something needed to change before the original Jesus Revolution 2,000 years ago. There were also signs before the 70s Jesus Revolution. What are the signs we need to watch for that shows our need for a personal Jesus Revolution? Pastor Frank Bennett shares those in this first sermon of our "Jesus Revolution" series.
Discipleship Pastor Terry Kruger closes out the Galatians series with a final instruction on living in freedom. Grab your copy of God's word and turn your focus to Galatians chapter 6.
In this fourth sermon of our Galatians series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the Apostle Paul's differences between a slave and a son in regards to following Christ. The slave has a master, the son has a father. The slave is an employee, the son is an heir. The slave is driven by duty, the son is driven by devotion. What drives your relationship with God?
In this third message of our series through Galatians, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that Christians are called to live in grace. The Christian life is not based on learned behavior, but a transformation by a Savior. Christianity does not ask you to do right. It wants to make you right. It’s about a transformation, not a transaction of earning grace based on our actions. This is the Gospel.
In this sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how to live the crucified life according the instructions explained by the Apostle Paul in Galatians chapter two. In order for us to change, our passions and desires have to die.
Pastor Terry Kruger shares how believers will experience suffering in this world and our ultimate hope as we walk through suffering.
For this special Christmas Eve Service, we focus on Emmanuel, God with us. We then ask the honest question, "Is God with me?" The experience of Mary at the birth of Jesus shows that God is with you to provide, to bring peace, support, and protection.
In our third and final message of "The Spirit of Christmas" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how the Holy Spirit will be involved in the future re-creation when Heaven and earth are made new and all God's people are together with the ultimate "God with us" party for eternity.
In this second week of our Spirit of Christmas series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the Spirit of Christmas Present as it relates to the first Christmas, especially the virgin birth. This message helps us answer questions of how could a virgin birth happen and why it's important. We find the true significance of this miracle as it relates to our lives.
The Spirit of Christmas Past is first sermon of our Christmas series by Pastor Frank Bennett. Christmas did not begin at the birth of Jesus. We find traces of the Christmas story all the way back to Genesis and through the words of the prophets. Why did we need those prophecies about the birth of Jesus? This sermon explains.
Our Discipleship Pastor, Terry Kruger, shares how looking intently at Jesus as the author and perfecter of our faith can help us live in a world that is contrary to Biblical standards.
In this sermon Pastor Frank Bennett shares a Biblical principle of firsts. If we place God first in our lives then other things will fall in proper order. This is especially true of our finances. When we sacrifice or bring to the Lord the first of our increase, the Lord will bless the remaining that we keep. This principle runs throughout scripture.
Pastor Frank Bennett shares the latest information on our future location at 106 Fourth Street in Emerson. Several renderings and videos were shared during this important update. You can access those by typing "future" to the number 833-429-6868.
As we close out the Holy Ghost series, we take a look at the five manifestations of power from the Holy Spirit. We believe more miracles and healings would take place today if Christians would step out in faith and do what the Lord tells them to do. Too often we are waiting for God to do what He has given us the spiritual power to do.
Holy Spirit will manifest in nine different ways, based on 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett discusses the manifestations of knowledge and wisdom. These two manifestations are grouped in the category of revelations or messages from God to give us insight and understanding about a particular matter and what to do about it.

In the second message of our Holy Ghost Stories series, Pastor Frank Bennett explains the three baptisms as mentioned in God's Word. When we are saved, the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the body of Christ. We then experience water baptism. The third baptism is Jesus baptizing (or immersing) you into the Holy Spirit with full power.
In this first sermon of our Holy Ghost Stories series, Pastor Frank Bennett explains the background of the first Holy Ghost story and shares the important attributes. We are reminded that Holy Ghost is a person with great power and purpose. Holy Ghost inside us is better than Jesus beside us.

In this second sermon of our Make Space series, Pastor Frank Bennett encourages us to ask the questions, “Do I need stuff to make me happy?” and “How much stuff do I NEED?” Thinking through these questions is going to help us find balance and gratitude. Gratitude and moderation will lead us to contentment. Contentment is the exit gate for the cycle of consumerism.
In the first sermon of this series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the importance of creating enough space in your finances to be all that God wants us to be. All that we have belongs to God. He longs for us to be good managers of what's been given to us. The Lord loves to reward and encourage those who manage things well, no matter the amount.
In the final week of our Broken People series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how leaders in the early church were broken, but also used greatly by God to fulfill His plan. A Broken Church is a church that knows how to truly love broken people.

We look at how David navigated through the hurt caused by King Saul so God can use him in powerful ways.
In this second sermon from our Broken People series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the story of Ruth. God can use people who have experienced broken dreams. Ruth gives us a template for responding to broken plans or dreams. When we enter our own season of broken dreams, we should be considerate of others, be humble enough not to become the "victim", and be obedient to the Lord so sin does not find a way when we are vulnerable.
In the first sermon of this series, Pastor Frank Bennett uses the story of Samson to show how God can still us broken people who had once pushed God aside to follow their own pride, disobedience, and self-reliance. Have your actions caused brokenness to your life? If so, this message should speak to you.
In this final sermon of our Joshua series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares a unique story about a man who took some devoted things for himself after the battle of Jericho. There is an important lesson we can learn from Joshua when God moves in our hearts to take possession of the new life He has for us. We need to place God first, build a monument, and consecrate ourselves in holiness. Pastor Frank Bennett shares these thoughts in week two of our Joshua series.

In week three of our No Compromise series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares from Daniel chapter 3 the temptation to bow down to what our culture demands of those who follow Christ. We will go through hardship as we stand for Biblical truth. God may not always deliver us from the fire, but rather walk with us through the fire.
In week two our No Compromise series about Daniel, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us not to freak out about turmoil in our lives, but interpret the turmoil instead. Daniel shows us how to do this in Daniel chapter 2 by remaining calm, showing no fear, involving others, and ultimately taking no credit when the crisis has passed.
In this first week of our No Compromise series about Daniel, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Daniel had the resolve of purity while in a pagan culture. With Daniel's example, we can also live out purity by keeping our identity pure and our choices pure. God will often give us pure favor in return.

In this third week of our "40 Days With Jesus" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the first encounter with Jesus and His disciples on the evening of His resurrection. We are to do our part to change the world, starting with those around us.
In this 2nd message of the "40 Days With Jesus" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the encounter of Jesus and two of His followers on the walk from Jerusalem to Emmaus. Much like those followers, our vision can be blurred from recognizing Jesus in our lives due to despair, disappointment, and doubt. But this encounter also shows how our eyes can be opened through scripture, through His presence, and fellowship with other believers.
In this first message in our 40 Days With Jesus series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the encounter with Jesus and Mary Magdalene right after the resurrection. We are reminded that for us to be really alive in Christ means to be free from the power of darkness, the fear of death, and the grip of despair.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that God wants to be included in the big things and the small things that ultimately create your direction in life. If God has called you to it, He will see you through it.

In this first message of our "What If It's True?" series, Pastor Frank Bennett asks the question, "What If God Can Be Trusted?". Our faith and trust in God fills the gap between what we feel and the truth.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the marks of a healthy church as stated in Acts 2:42-27. A healthy church is a devoted church, a giving church, a unified church, and a worshiping church. We are also given tools to help us become and healthy church.
In this final sermon of The Table series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the importance of the Chair of Forgiveness. Forgiveness means to surrender the right to hurt others in response to the way they’ve hurt us.
In this week's sermon of "The Table" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Jesus even had someone to prepare a table for him in the presence of his enemies. We learn a lot from Jesus on how to deal with the enemies at our table in his encounter and treatment to Judas.
In week two of The Table series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the story of David and Mephibosheth. In the middle of the valley we find that it's not about the food on the table, but the people God has sitting around our table. Have you been crippled by a fall that is keeping you from God? Then come to The Table.
In this first week of The Table series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the reasons why God prepares a table in the presence of your enemies. The table of God provides the proper focus, strength, and rest needed while in the valley.
In this stand-alone sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how the Bride of Christ can display her beauty through unity by protecting her purity, dedicating her diversity of gifts, and abiding in her adversity through the difficult times. The bride is often the most critical of herself. The Church must not walk in criticism of one another, but rather faithfully loving and serving one another.

In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the recklessly extravagant ways in which God shows His love towards us while we're still sinners. God loves us while we're leaving our home with Him. This is part one of a two-part message called, Prodigal God, based off the story of the Lost Son. The parable should be called, "The Two Lost Sons" because both brothers need a lot of help. There's much we can learn from both of them. But we learn more from the response of the Father who makes all things new in the lives of both of his sons.
Behold, God is doing a new thing. Can you see it? This scripture from the prophet Isaiah can bring hope to people in need of change. But with change comes transitions. Pastor Frank Bennett shares the three phases of transitions that we experience when going through change.

In this second message of our Call of Duty series, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that Satan has been after marriages since the beginning of creation. His progression of attacks for our marriages are very similar to what Adam and Eve faced. We can learn a ton for our marriages from that first attack in Genesis 3.
In the first week of our Call of Duty series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares five spiritual truths we all need to know about the invisible war around us. We need to understand the Biblical dynamics of spiritual realities. If we don’t, we will make ourselves more vulnerable to evil powers.

God has given us a specific SHAPE based on our Spiritual Gifts, our Heart, our Abilities, our Personality, and our Experiences. God uses our SHAPE to help us serve in our strengths as we build the church and live with purpose.
In this week's message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Discipleship is one of the five purposes of the Church. Being a disciple takes a one-time decision to accept Christ and an everyday decision to follow Jesus. What does that look like?
Pastor Frank Bennett brings the focus to evangelism in week two of our "Whatever It Takes" series. Jesus gives us steps on how to share our faith when He visits Zacchaeus found in Luke 19. We can follow this similar pattern to share Christ with others.
In this first message of the "Whatever It Takes" series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the five purposes of the church by starting with Fellowship. There is a pathway to Fellowship. We need to promote our Fellowship. And we must protect our Fellowship.

Have you ever felt like a nobody? As if your life is not going anywhere? Maybe you’re working hard, but it seems like you’re not getting anywhere. Have you ever felt the need for a Breakthrough in your life? Maybe you're stuck in a rut or some junk. King David, the writer of Psalm 103, certainly needed a few breakthroughs in his life. He gives us several ways in Psalm 103.
Like a long road trip, our life needs a song for the journey. Psalm 121 was a song the Hebrews would sing on their journey to Jerusalem. There are many attributes of God in this Psalm that we can use today. Pastor Frank Bennett shares some encouraging promises that can help us on this journey of life.
Our Discipleship Pastor, Jim Huston, shared a dynamic message based on Psalm 37 about expectations verses reality.
Guest speaker, Bradley Baker, shares what true confession and repentance looks like through the words of Kind David in Psalm 51. In this Psalm, David confesses his sins to God, holding back nothing. David does not blame anyone for his errors and makes no attempt to excuse his actions. These words display absolute humility and anguish over sin.
Pastor Frank Bennett takes us through Psalm 101. In this special Father's Day message, we are reminded to be a man of praise, a man of purity, a protective man, and a prudent man. If we are persistent with these principles, we will become a man after God's own heart.
Pastor Frank Bennett shares how to live an unshaken life based on the principles we find in Psalm 15. No matter what comes your way, you can remain strong and unshaken in your faith.
In our first week of this series, our Student Pastor, Joe Salvatore, teaches on Psalm One. We are reminded of two types of people in this world: those who walk with the Lord, and those who walk with the evil of this world. One is blessed, the other is cursed. Which one are you?

For this message on Mother's Day, Pastor Frank Bennett shares three things that people try to put at the center instead of Christ. These are all tempting things to try and build your life around. But as we shall see, they are all poor substitutes for Christ. Just like there’s no substitutes for the Moms in our lives, there are no substitutes for Jesus in our Christian walk.
In this week's message through the book of Colossians, our Student Pastor Joe Salvatore shares what it looks like to be made alive in Christ as explained in chapter three. On this Graduate Sunday when we honored our graduating seniors, this message was a challenge and encouragement for those seniors to continue to live for Jesus as they begin their next stage in life.
In this final message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares specific ways we can share Christ with others. We need to pray for open doors. We need to live the life and speak the life to match the message we are trying to share. We must do whatever it takes to accomplish our mission.
Pastor Frank takes us through the section of Colossians 3 about the Christian home. The Apostle Paul instructs us to live with Christ-Centered relationships at home and at work. Those relationships of husband-wife, parent-child, and boss-worker can be improved when Christ is placed in the center.
In week three of this series, Pastor Frank Bennett explains how blind skepticism can keep someone from opening the door for Jesus to enter. Using the story of Jesus healing a blind man, we learn that it takes humility, obedience, sharing of our testimony, and a life of worship to move beyond our spiritual blindness and skepticism.
Pastor Frank Bennett closed out the "Doors" series with a message of hope for those willing and able to open the door of salvation with a child-like faith. We see that it takes trusting in Jesus, a transparency of no pretending, and a carefree approach to what others might think or say.
In week two of our Doors series, Pastor Frank Bennett takes us to door #2. This door is very difficult to open because of the shame from past and current sin. People don't want Jesus to see what's behind their door. So they keep it closed to accepting Him and ultimately clothing their sin and nakedness.
In the first message of the Doors series, our good friend, Pastor Eric Mosley, talks about the door of people who have everything they need. Jesus is knocking on their heart's door. But they refuse to open it because they have no need for a Savior. They have it all together.
In this final message of our "Love of Another Kind" series, Pastor Frank Bennett uses a familiar encounter with Jesus to show how love satisfies the thirst of those living an emtpy life and satisfies the hunger of believers longing for a great harvest of souls turning to Jesus.

Our Student Pastor, Joe Salvatore, reminds us how the Word of God is Essential in our Christian faith.
In this third message of our Essential series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the formula we can use to assure our prayers are essential. This formula is found in a familiar encounter with Jesus found in Luke 5:1-11.
In this second message of our Essential series, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds the Church the her giving is Essential to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to the growth of faith in the individual giver. If we're not giving, then we're not growing. Using a familiar passage about a boy and his lunch, we are reminded that Jesus doesn't want our money. He wants our heart.
In this first message of our Essential series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how the Church is essential in how it grows your faith and how it divides the truth from the lies in a world lost in darkness.
As we transition from 2020 to 2021, the thing we most need for the new year that was often absent in the previous year is wisdom. Proverbs chapter two gives us the answer on how to get wisdom. But it also gives us the benefits of wisdom. Pastor Frank Bennett shares this powerful Biblical truth that we sure can use in the coming year.
Mary and Joseph showed us how to respond to moments of crisis in our lives. Those crisis moments reveal the measure of our character. God needed simple parents with Godly character to help raise Jesus. Once we choose Godly character, confirmation comes in many forms. Join Pastor Frank Bennett as he shares about the simple parents in the simple Christmas story.
From the beginning of creation, God had a simple plan in mind for the redemption of mankind. But it's often difficult to accept that plan because we tend to complicate even the simplest things. God has planned for you to sin. But He has also planned away of escaping it.
Pastor Frank Bennett shares the difference between the Church submitting to governing authorities verses obeying them as Paul writes in chapter 13. We are also instructed how to walk in unity and freedom with Biblical issues that may not be as clear-cut as the major issues explained in chapter 14.
Pastor Frank Bennett takes us to a new and final section of Paul's letter to the Christians in Rome. We move to the practice of our faith in chapter 12, whereas the previous eleven chapters were about doctrine. We are reminded to be a living sacrifice by serving the Body of Christ, loving the Body of Christ, and transforming the world.
Eternal salvation is as simple as calling upon the name of Jesus. God flipped the script with the new covenant (or promise) through Jesus by drawing people to choose Jesus and following the promptings of the Holy Spirit to live a life of obedience all because of our love for Him. The old way demanded we obey rules because we had to. Now we obey His Word because we want to.
Our Discipleship Pastor, Jim Huston, continues in our journey through Romans chapter 9 to explain God's sovereign choice in the world. The more we know God, the more we understand that He works ALL things to accomplish His plans and purpose while using His foreknowledge of things to come. This builds enormous trust and faith in our spirit.
Pastor Frank Bennett takes us through Romans chapter 8 as Paul brings the focus of believers walking in the Spirit. There can be no success or progress in the Christian life apart from an utter dependence on the Holy Spirit.
In this message of our Romans series, Student Pastor Joe Salvatore shares how we are dead to sin but alive in Christ (as found in chapters 6 and 7). We are no longer slaves to sin, but slaves to righteousness through acts of obedience to God's Word and the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Frank Bennett shares the benefits of the Gospel of Jesus. He explains that Paul has finished his argument, in chapters 1-4, that nobody can be made right with God by following the works of the law of Moses. Now Paul turns a corner, to describe what we have gained in being justified by faith. It's true that we have escaped the wrath of God, but being righteous before God means so much more than just not being punished for our sin.
In week three of our Romans series, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that we should not be working towards salvation from the outside, hoping to get things right so God would accept us. We simply need to accept the free gift of salvation from the inside and rely on the Holy Spirit to change our actions and attitudes on the outside. It's all part of God's provision for our sin problem.
Some Christians may feel as though they have been nominated or assigned as a supreme judge in God's court. God's Supreme Court only needs one Judge...God Himself. After calling out sinful acts in chapter one, Paul's conversation changes to those believers who are judging the lives of others when they themselves have issues. Paul reminds us that we will all face the Judge to answer for our sinful ways.
Pastor Frank Bennett kicked off this important series with an introduction to Romans and a reminder that we need to defend our faith during these troubling times. But in order to defend our faith, we must own it and not be ashamed of it. We must boldy proclaim the truth of the Gospel to drown out the false teaching we are currently hearing.
In this final message of our Brace Yourself series, Pastor Frank Bennett moves the attention away from ourselves to the fact that others need to be spiritually braced for what is to come. Using the story of Zacchaeus, we learn how Jesus took time to share hope before His final week of laying down His life. As the end times draw near, we are to do the same for others who are searching through this chaotic world of confusion for hope to walk down the street.
During this chaotic season, you need to brace yourself with the Word of God. Pastor Frank Bennett shares three specific ways by including the Holy Spirit to have a powerful Word, by leaning into the protective Word, and by digesting it to create a personal Word.
You can't brace yourself on your own. You need the company of other believers walking and praying together. Our Discipleship Pastor, Jim Huston, teaches us how to brace ourselves together in this message.
You can't brace yourself without prayer. In the second week of this series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how we can brace ourselves through prayer that is powerful, persistent, and purposeful. We can only stand together if we pray together.
In this first message, we take a close look at the armor of God described in Ephesians chapter 6. We are given the reasons why we should put on the full armor and how to use it. During chaos, our main objective as followers of Jesus is not the security of your family, your finances, or your physical well-being. Our main objective is to stand firm in our faith. Believers who put on the full armor of God will be identified as the true followers of Jesus and not the ones who are faking it.
In this final message of our IDOLS series, Pastor Frank Bennett takes us through the Temple of Love where the idol of Romance, the idol of Family, and the idol of Me are waiting for us. We are reminded that when we look to someone other than God to complete us and define our lives, it’s idolatry. The more we fear losing it, the more likely we are to worship it.
We all have a temple of pleasure hidden away that is home to various idols. In this third message of our IDOLS series, Pastor Frank Bennett calls attention to the idols of food, sexual pleasure, and entertainment. Idols are defeated not by being removed, but by being replaced.
You can’t understand the seriousness of idolatry without first understanding the jealousy and reckless love of God for you. God is jealous for your heart not because He is insecure, but because He loves you. Pastor Frank Bennett shares a powerful reminder of the longing of God for you that will chase away the idols in your life.
In this first sermon of the IDOLS series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what life is like in the aftermath of living in idolatry based on the story of Nehemiah. God is warning the church to brace ourselves for what is coming in our world as a result of years of idolatry. Pastor Frank lays out a plan for the church to follow taken straight from Nehemiah.
In our current condition of chaos, it's easy to live in fear. But for those who follow Christ can rest in the fact that God has everything under His control.
In this last message of the Aftermath series, Pastor Frank Bennett describes the Final Aftermath we all will ultimately face and how to prepare for it. The judgement seat of God is real and our sin leads us there. But Jesus stands as a mediator between us and God's judgement when we confess our sins and profess Him as Lord of our lives.
On this Father's Day message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what fathers can do to prepare their kids for the coming aftermath. We can already see the warning signs as it approaches. But there is hope and specific things you can do to implement a strategy.
What is the greatest aftermath of the life of Jesus? Some would say the resurrection or maybe the ascension to Heaven. In this week's sermon in our Aftermath series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the most important aftermath and what it means to us.
Before we experience an Aftermath, we must walk through a storm. We begin our Aftermath series with a powerful storm found in the 27th chapter of the book of Acts. In this passage, we learn what we should and should not do in a storm. What we do within a storm will have a huge affect on the Aftermath. Join Pastor Frank Bennett as we dive into a storm together.
Lake Point Church Student Pastor, Joe Salvatore, shares a powerful word on how we have received justification from our sins through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as we trust Him as Lord and Savior.
In this final message of our Psalm 23 series, Pastor Frank helps us to realize this Biblical principle: WHAT YOU FOLLOW WILL FOLLOW YOU. We see this in our final verse of this chapter. We all have a trail of character traits that follow us based on who we follow. If you want goodness, love, and mercy to follow you, then follow the Good Shepherd.
After coming out of the Valley of Shadows, we find that the Good Shepherd has prepared a table to bless and nourish us. He allows no enemies at this table. His anointing oil of the Holy Spirit relieves our troubles and our wounds. The Shepherd confirms his desire for us by the overflow of the cup of favor.
When we trust and follow the Good Shepherd, he proves that he goes before us through the valley of the shadow of death. During these troubling times, we are experiencing fear and loneliness that are bringing us very close to the valley of shadows. Now more than ever, we need to gaze our eyes on our Shepherd, keep him close, and trust his rod and staff.
Even when we follow the Good Shepherd on paths of righteousness, we will often need to be restored. We may explore other paths and find ourselves downcast. In this third week of our Psalm 23 series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how we can be restored when we get off of the right path.
In week two of our Psalm 23 series, Pastor Frank Bennett describes how the journey of our Good Shepherd begins in this passage. Like sheep, we often have difficulty resting in our "green pastures" because of fear and friction. Our Shepherd will lead us to still waters. But sometimes he may lead us through a storm before our still waters. We may never see and experience the amazing life God has for us in the still waters if we don’t follow Him into the storms.
How do you know when you have a shepherd? How do you know you're following a shepherd, the right shepherd? Pastor Frank Bennett takes us on a journey as we explore these questions during week one of our Psalm 23 series.
Do you have scars? If you do, then you have a scar story. You may carry scars that are deeply embedded in emotional, psychological, or spiritual places. We are reminded this Easter of the scars that Jesus bore even with his glorified body. His scars are with him in Heaven right now. As we see in today's passage, his scars bring evidence for the doubt, peace for the confusion, and courage for the fears.
In this final message of our Six Days series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the agony that Jesus experienced on the cross during his final Friday. Rejection, Pain, Isolation, and Death are all part of that Good Friday. But they also relate with us as well.
Jesus spends his final Thursday before laying down his life on the cross with his spiritual family, the disciples. At the last supper, we see Jesus encouraging and instructing his disciples while also introducing the sacrament of communion. The family table is a place where we break bread together and share words of encouragement and instruction. Much like our own family, everyone needs a spiritual family to walk with us on our Christian journey of becoming more like Christ. There is a local church with an empty seat at their table where you can break bread with others.
It’s the final Wednesday of Jesus before he surrenders to the cross. He has been around large crowds the previous three days. He decides to quarantine himself with his closest friends, to be still before he changes the world. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that God often will ask us to be still and know he is God and he has everything under control.
It's the third day of the final week of Jesus. We see the authority of Jesus questioned and expressed. Jesus never asked the religious leaders permission to heal, to teach, to drive out demons, or to drive out the money changers. When we give Jesus full authority over our lives, then He doesn’t need to seek permission to work in our hearts and to call us to do difficult things. By what authority do you live your life? Do you live it to your own authority, or the authority of Jesus?
In this second message of our Six Days series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the events that took place on the Monday of the final week before Jesus suffered on the cross. He took the time to purify the temple from the greed and corruption that invaded worship sacrifices in the temple. This purification is symbolic of the way Jesus longs to purify our bodies from corruption and sin as the new temple of the Holy Spirit. What impurities does Jesus need to clean in your temple today?
In this first message of the Six Days sermon series, we visit the events that comprised the final Sunday of Jesus before going to the cross. On that Sunday, a pathway was made for Jesus to enter Jerusalem as a new king while riding a donkey. We are challenged to clear a path for Jesus to become a part of our lives and to crown him King of our hearts. We are reminded that Jesus rode a donkey that Sunday, but will return in the clouds on a white horse to defeat Satan and obtain ultimate victory.
Our student Pastor, Joe Salvatore, shares Biblical and practical ways we can find spiritual endurance and apply it to our Christian walk.
In this final message of our Guardians of the Family series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the important distinction between getting rich and being rich. Based on the instructions found in 1 Timothy chapter 6, we can guard our families from destruction and lead them to an abundant life if we teach them to be rich, not to get rich.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett helps us to identify the real enemy. The enemy is not living in our home or is a part of our family. The enemy, Satan, hates your family. He has weapons of deception, distraction, discouragement, and doubt. But as Christians, we have spiritual weapons of God's word, prayer, the name of Jesus, and our testimony to guard our family against Satan's attacks. We need to stop treating our kids and spouse like they are the enemy and start identifying the real enemy.
In this message of the Guardians of the Galaxy series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how to guard your kids against the outside powers fighting for control. The repetitive cycle of guarding our kids often feels like a groundhog day filled with frustrations. This message will help you better understand your role as a parent and the methods you can establish to guard your kids.
In his third message of the Guardians of the Family series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares that the first line of defense to guard your family begins with the parents and the health of their relationship with God. The husband and wife are one flesh and one love. If they're not united, then they're divided. The level to which the parent's love for God is united will determine their success as a guardian.
In this second message of our Guardians of the Family series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares that true guardians of the family are not Mavericks who do things on their own when times get tough. They surround themselves with other guardians in the church. It takes more than the parents to be the spiritual guardians for your family.
In this first week of our Guardians of the Galaxy series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares an important principle. "Home Invitations are more powerful than home invasions." When guarding our family, we often focus on what might invade our home. But we rarely think about what we have invited into our home. The very things we are trying to keep out are often the same things we have invited.
In this final week of the Unplanned Christmas series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how our unplanned reactions have an affect on us and those we love. Through the Christmas story, we are encouraged not to lose our faith, not to be afraid, and not to walk away.
In today's message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how we can face the unplanned surprises with courage. We don't need to be like the clueless crowd or the curious shepherds, but rather the courageous wisemen.
Have things ever happened to you that seemed unfair? Have you ever experienced accusations, rejection, or attacks from evil people yet did nothing to deserve it? Life can be unjust and unfair at times. Mary and Joseph experienced this as Jesus was brought into the world. They show us some responses we can adopt as we face the unjust things in our world.
Christmas is probably the most planned season of the year, yet has the most unplanned surprises. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett explains how the first Christmas was filled with unplanned events in order to cover up a covert operation to secure the arrival and safety of His Son, Jesus. This message will encourage you to walk in greater peace as you better understand how the unplanned fits together with God's plan.
In this final message of the Big Three series, Pastor Frank Bennett talks about the most important of these three simple, yet powerful words. Listen to this message to learn how these three principles tie into one another to help us live an abundant life until we reach Heaven.
In this second message of our Big Three Series, Pastor Frank Bennett brings us to focus on the pathway to hope and how we know when we are on that pathway. It is our hope that this message brings you closer to living out the hope God designed for you.
Until we reach eternity in Heaven, we have these three powerful words to help us in this life. Pastor Frank Bennett shares the message of Faith in the first week of this series. Faith is not merely believing for God to do something in the present. Faith is believing that what we do by faith in the present affects the unseen and the future.
In our final week of our Keep the Change series, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us to position ourselves to hear the confirming and encouraging words of the Holy Spirit as we "Listen For A Change". If we want to keep the change and grow in our faith, we must hear from the Holy Spirit.
In week four of our Keep the Change series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares a unique method of keeping the change. Just like a leaf in the Fall is changing because it's dying, we also need to die in areas of our lives in order to change. If you're not dying, then you're not changing.
In week three of our Keep the Change series, Jackson Grant shares the importance that fellowship has in helping to keep the change that happened in our hearts. Sitting in rows on Sunday mornings is good. However, sitting in circles in small group is even better. Small group is vital to helping us keep the change.
This week's message is titled "Share the Change". Pastor Frank Bennett shares scripture and illustrations for the main takeaway from this message: "You will keep the change with greater success if you share with others about the change Jesus made in your life." This is true for new believers or experienced believers.
How do you know if you're growing in your faith? How do you keep the change that originally happened in your heart when you invited Jesus to be your Savior and Lord. Before we can keep the change, we need to make sure that a real change has actually taken place. Pastor Frank Bennett shares how you can be sure the change has happened as he asks the question, "What About the Change".
We are all in search for peace, especially when life brings chaos. Our Student Pastor, Joe Salvatore, brings a message of hope that brings peace.
In this week's message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the importance of building comeback boundaries before you officially begin your way towards the comeback that needs to be made. If boundaries aren't built, then the same issues that caused your setbacks in the past will lead you there again.
In this third week of our Comeback series, Teacher Pastor Jackson Grant shares why you are never too far from a Comeback. Using the story of the Apostle Paul as a backdrop, this message will give you hope if you have found yourself saying, "I'm just too far to make it back home."
In week two of The Comeback series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the story of a woman in the Bible who made an amazing comeback through the power of faith. There are several things we can learn from this woman of faith that can help us move forward from our setbacks to our comebacks.
In this first message of The Comeback series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how our setbacks are just a setup for God to bring about a comeback in our lives for His glory. The story of Joseph provides us with many examples of how to respond to setbacks and prepare for a comeback.
In this final message of our ReJOYce Series through the book of Philippians, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what it takes to guard your heart and mind. Like a home security system provides peace and strength, there are elements we can use as a first line of defense to guard the enemy from invading our hearts and minds. The result is the peace of God and the strength of God.
Our Teaching Pastor, Jackson Grant, shares insights into this amazing chapter of this letter by the Apostle Paul to the Church at Philippi. As you listen to this message, you will soon realize that it's also written for us today.
In this first message of the "ReJOYce" Series through Philippians, Pastor Frank Bennett shares instructions on how to live a life worthy of the Gospel by wearing what he calls "Jesus Chains". Living in these chains will help you live a life worthy of wearing the name of Jesus.
Jackson Grant closes out this series called, "Jesus is the Question". Jesus is the answer, but He asked a lot of questions. Those questions are still for us today. What question is Jesus asking you?
Teaching Pastor, Jackson Grant, shares the question that Jesus asked, "Do you want to get well?" It was a question to a man who was sick and lame in the Bible. However, it's also a question for us today. What areas in your life do you need to be well? Take a listen to this inspiring message.
In this final message of the "You Can Go to Hell" series, Pastor Frank Bennett uses scripture on how you can say "no" to Hell. We condemn ourselves to Hell because of sin. But we can escape Hell through the blood of Jesus. We can also encourage others to say "Hell, No"
On this Father's Day, Pastor Frank Bennett shares a powerful message entitled "How To Lead Your Kids To Hell". That's not the goal of any father. However, there are many Dads out there who may not realize that they're leading their kids to Hell. What are the signs? Take a listen to this message in our You Can Go To Hell series.
In this second message of the "You Can Go to Hell" series, Pastor Frank Bennett gives a clear warning about trying to escape Hell through our own means. Many people think they have a get-out-of-hell free card. Listen to this message to find out if your life is really headed toward Heaven or Hell.
God will often ask us to go on a journey. Those journeys may include temptations to help us grow in our faith. Using the story of Jesus being led on journey in the wilderness, Student Minister Joe Salvatore shares some practical applications for us today.
In this final message of the Divine Direction series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares that connecting and trusting are indicators we are following the Divine Directions given to us by God through the Holy Spirit.
On this Mother's Day, Pastor Frank Bennett shares a key element to our divine direction trip. We must not forget to serve others while we're seeking direction. A story in the Bible about a Mom's lunch helps us to apply and see the benefits of serving like Mom.
In week two of our Divine Direction series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the question that many of us have asked, "Should I stay or should I go?" This is a very difficult question. The Bible gives some insight as to how we can navigate through this difficult direction.
It’s the small choices no one sees that result in the big impact everyone wants. Most of us struggle to connect the small choices we’re constantly making with the big differences we want to see in our lives. In this first message of the Divine Direction series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares that small choices are as simple as starting and stopping.
In this Easter message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares a unique angle on the empty tomb. Most people don't like empty. When we see or feel emptiness, we often will fill it with something. This is a sign we are running from our emptiness. If we linger around empty, perhaps God has something to teach us about Himself and about ourselves.
Too often we put our own spin on what we want to get out of Christianity to make ourselves look or feel better, when in reality, it's contradictory to everything the bible says. During this series, Jackson Grant intends to take the filter off of Christianity and see it for what Jesus intended it to be.

During this series, Jackson Grant intends to take the filter off of Christianity and see it for what Jesus intended it to be.

During this series, Jackson Grant intends to take the filter off of Christianity and see it for what Jesus intended it to be.
In this final message of our Simplify series, Pastor Frank Bennett encourages us to simplify our identity. The most effective way you can simplify your life is to find out who you really are and live it. But you may not know who you are because you’re caught having to pretend someone you’re not. When you know your purpose in Christ, you no longer need to pretend.
In this second sermon of our Simplify series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the importance of simplifying our burdens. We lay upon ourselves heavy burdens we're not designed to carry. Burdens like our schedule, our distraction, our worries, and even our sin.
We all could make our lives more simple. It's natural to think that removing obligations and clutter is the solution. While that does help, it's more important that we prioritize the big items first, leaving less room in our capacity for all the other items that fill up our day and our minds. We hope you enjoy this simple sermon from Pastor Frank Bennett.
In this final message of our Creed series, Teaching Pastor Jackson Grant shares the important difference between general hope and ultimate hope. We get in trouble when we place our ultimate hope in things and in people here on earth. Our only ultimate hope is to live with Jesus in Heaven for eternity.
In week seven, pastor Frank Bennett talks about the section of the Creed that says "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Church, the communion of all the saints, and the forgiveness of sin". This powerful message reminds us that the Holy Spirit guides us and speaks to us.
Video: https://youtu.be/98NU_pEHJfk
In this sixth message of the Creed Series, we focus on the phrase, "He ascended to Heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return to judge the living and the dead." Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that Jesus needed to ascend to Heaven in order to give us the Holy Spirit. Jesus can do more from Heaven than if He remained on earth. We are reminded that Jesus will return to take us home.

For week five of our Creed Series, Teaching Pastor Jackson Grant shares the phrase, "He descended to Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead." Believing that Jesus rising from the dead is probably the most basic fundamentals of Christianity. Listen to why that's so important.
In week four of our Creed Series, Pastor Frank Bennett focuses on Jesus our sacrifice. Through His death on the cross, Jesus reconciled us back to God. He made us right with Him. His death also purchased a people, the Church. But many Christians forget that His sacrifice put to death sin in our lives. We can walk in victory over sin if we truly believe.
In this third week of our Creed series, Pastor Frank talks about believing in Jesus, the Son of God. One of the best ways to believe in Jesus is to include Him as a good Shepherd. This message paints a portrait of Jesus as that Shepherd we all need in our lives.

How you view your earthly father is similar to how you view your heavenly Father. None of us had a perfect father growing up. Some even had an abusive father as a child. If you truly get to know the heart of our Father God, you will live your life with greater assurance that everything's going to end up for your good.

In this first message of our Joshua series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares promises from God and ways to approach our second chance.
Video: https://youtu.be/yQ74ZNrubWo
In this single sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares about Biblical stewardship. God wants our hearts. And because our hearts tend to follow our stuff, God wants us to surrender all our “stuff” to Him. In this final message of the Joshua series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the elements of an audacious prayer. It must be a prayer that is spoken for others to hear. Video: https://youtu.be/npzVy044GZA

Video: https://youtu.be/giQkaYP5Mwk
In the first week of this series on Ruth, we learn of the decisions made by her father-in-law that lead to serious implications on the family. We see the results of people who made decisions based on logic and not on faith. When God's logic doesn't make sense to us, it doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense.

Samson was the strongest man who ever lived. But he probably had the biggest problem with E.G.O. (Edging God Out) We Edge God Out when we feel we’re exempt from obedience, display pride, or rely on ourselves.

Video: https://youtu.be/C6lT2OwzDck

Video: https://youtu.be/KfUJGwqeL9Q
In this message from our Moses series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how the obedience by Moses made matters worse, at least for a time. Video: https://youtu.be/XE1-ivJpBxY

Video: https://youtu.be/yb7u8ugCkdk
Jackson Grant delivers a great message looking at the Ten Commandments from a different angle. We are encouraged to ask what personal commandment has God given us to follow?
God longs to resurrect you from whatever lifeless grave you may be in. Resurrection is not an event. It's a person. Many times we wait for an event to set us free from certain dead areas in our lives. But it's only by the power of God's love who can pull you out.

Joseph displayed righteousness even through life's obstacles. But there was one area where he struggled. And we see it in the final message of this series. The most powerful obstacle we will face on our way to pursuing God's dream for us, is the obstacle of unforgiveness.

Do you have a dream that may have stalled? If you have a God-given dream, then you most likely have obstacles of standing in the way of living that dream. Pastor Frank Bennett talks about the obstacle of rejection and the signs for noticing them in our lives, as well as how to respond.

Based on Zephaniah 3:17, Pastor Frank Bennett shares some thoughts on how we can best approach a new year. We are not alone. God is there singing over us, even when we stray. He is a personal God and present in our lives. He is powerful and takes great pleasure in us. He brings us peace and performs over us with singing. Position yourself to hear the voice of God.
In this message of our Generous Christmas series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what we can learn from the generosity displayed by the wise men. Like the wise men, we need to look for ways to be generous. We need to be willing to leave the familiar. We need to be willing to do the unthinkable and not make it about us. This sermon will give practical advice to building a heart of generosity.
On the way to finding Jesus, the shepherds gave up the security of their jobs and their pride in exchange for their faith. When we are truly generous, we will not allow anything to stand in the way of our faith.
In this first message of the Generous Christmas, Pastor Frank Bennett shares that true generosity begins with God and how God is moving in our lives. God needed Christmas to show His amazing generosity. And we need Christmas as well.
We were made to Thrive. What does that look like for you in 2018? Pastor Frank Bennett shares some insight from God's Word on how we can live to our full potential by having the fullness of Christ inside.

What are you holding onto that you can't let go? Just like Abraham, God may ask you to let go of those things that come between you and God. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares some great life applications from this amazing story that we can use in our lives.
There will be hills and valleys along your journey to the place God wants you to be. But no matter where you are on your journey, know that it's not too late for God to confirm His promises to you. Just like Sarah, God will move in closer when you think it's too late.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what "offspring" really means and who are the stars God refers to in the story of Abraham.
Even the faithful will fail at times. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett visits the time Abraham fails his first test of faith after God called him and chose him to be the father of a great nation. But just like Abraham, God will call us knowing full well that we will fail at times during our journey of faith.
We're all on journey. Some of us are walking a journey of faith. There's much we can learn from Abraham, the father of our faith as we understand our Creator and Savior.
Our student minister, Jackson Grant, shares some practical perspective from a familiar passage of scripture about perseverance. This message is designed to encourage you to take another lap even when things don't seem to be going the way you think they should.
In this final message of the Nehemiah series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Nehemiah and the Jews dedicated their past ruins to the Lord. This should encourage us take our past ruins and dedicate them to the Lord by helping others with some of the same issues that led us to our ruins.
When we begin to build our future by rising from the ruins, we will have almost immediate opposition in the form of worries and fears. These fears are presented in our minds as questions. What do we do with these questions of fear? We answer them, just like in the story of Nehemiah.
In order to build for the future, Nehemiah had to encourage others to rise from the ruins. We all have times in our lives when the choices made caused ruins. Those ruins should not define us, much like the ruined walls around Jerusalem did not define the rich heritage and identity of that great city. We hope this inspirational message will encourage you to rise from the ruins as you build your future.
In this final message of the Esther series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the amazing ways God works on our behalf through His providence. In the eleventh hour God comes through just when we need Him. Esther makes her final bold move by naming evil in front of the King. Our takeaway is that we also need to name the evil or sin in front of the King of Kings. Evil has a name. Expose it for what it is and allow God to do His amazing work.
Do you know you have a finest hour? In fact, you may have several in your lifetime. Our finest hours happen when we come out of some adversity or surface from making a very difficult decision. We reveal our true selves when we walk through the hurtful words and actions of someone intimidating us. Esther shows us how to approach a difficult situation or person with calmness, control, and confidence.
In this second sermon of the Esther series, we learn the power that one person can make. But life is not always fair. And when life is unfair, we need to stay true to our Biblical convictions. In the middle of our confusion and fear, we can rest assured that God has us at this place for such a time as this.
Are you wondering what good can come from all that you have to live with? The kids you can’t handle. The marriage that lacks harmony? Whether you see it or not, God is at work in your life this very moment. God specialized in turning the mundane into the meaningful. God not only moves in unusual ways, He also moves in uneventful days. While you’re going through life and trying to make sure you fix all the little pieces of your life, understand this: that there is over and in, above and below your life a divine architect ordering every detail. In this first message of the Esther series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares insight on how we can live our lives knowing that God is in control.
In this final message in our Daniel Series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Daniel's faith was strong even under the fears of change, conflict, and consequences. Just like Daniel, we should not allow these fears to affect our faith.
In this week's message in the Daniel Series, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us how we should not bow down to idols in our lives. Idols do exist, whether we recognize them or not. And we are tempted to worship things in our culture that conflicts with God's Word. Daniel's friends give us a formula for resisting the temptation to bow down.
In this second week of our Daniel Series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the difference between being distracted by your turmoil compared to properly interpreting the turmoil when it comes your way. God has a reason for all things. Interpreting our turmoil helps set us apart from our culture.
It's easy to compromise our values. But how do we live with conviction in a world of compromise? Daniel's story is filled with practical ways to live with conviction. In this first message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares "The Resolve of Purity" and how Daniel practiced this discipline.
Raising home run kids involves teaching them to live in community with one another by loving others like they would want to be loved. Pastor Frank Bennett shares some thoughts on how to love others by having respect, showing compassion, and making friends.
What rules your life? What rules your kids? If we’re ruled by discipline without emotion, we’re inhuman. If we’re ruled by emotion without discipline, we’re immature. Ruling by self-control equals emotional maturity. Learn to rise above the rule of sin, selfishness, and immaturity.
To win home plate, kids need a connection with God. It takes intentional time, intentional talk, and intentional truth. What do you want for your kids? What are you doing well? What needs intentional change? Pastor Frank Bennett answers these questions with Biblical principles and practical application.
Are you tired of living in your own grave of sin, shame, and bad choices? You need to remove the stone of pride and self-assurance from in front of your grave. You need to come out of that grave as Jesus is calling your name. And you need to throw away those grave clothes.
In this sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Jesus serves us grace through the story of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples. We learn that grace is often unexpected, unassuming, and unpretentious.
Did you know that God sings over you? There's a place in scripture where God reminds us that He sings over us, even when we feel the consequences of our sin. This is a great picture of grace.
When God steps in, he takes your place. When you feel attacked, it's not you they're after. It's all on Jesus. Just move out of the way. He can take it. And He proved that by taking it on the cross for our sin. You and I should have died on that cross. But Jesus stepped in and took our place with a full act of grace.
When God steps in, He takes your place. When you feel attacked, it's not you that they're after. It's all on Jesus. Just move out of the way because He can take it. And He proved that by taking on the cross for our sin. You and I should have died on the cross. But Jesus stepped in and took our place.
Do we truly understand what "Grace" is? Do we comprehend its meaning? We sing about it. We talk about it. We even call our prayers at the dinner table "Grace". Pastor Frank Benner believes God wants us to walk down the road of Grace that leads to the cross as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
As we enter into our final week of the "Make Church Great Again" series, we learn about applying all we have learned the past four weeks.
When you work to be a Bringer, those who bring to church will become Bringers. The goal is for you and for those you bring to leave all worries behind and follow Jesus.
One way to Make the Church Great Again is to show healthy fruit of the Spirit. Many people are turned off by the church because some Christians do not display healthy fruit, a sign they spend time with Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett shares Biblical ways we can improve our fruit. And it all starts by evaluating our root.
This week began Lake Point Church's new series, "Make Church Great Again". Please take the time to listen to Pastor Frank Bennett's great sermon beginning this inspiring series.
This week, Jackson Grant, Lake Point's Youth Minister taught. He spoke about legalism and simply giving your heart to God, as Jesus taught in The Sermon on the Mount. Please enjoy this powerful message.
Trust takes patience. Don't rush the Artist. God's redemption doesn't erase whatever it was that happened to cause us regret. He takes our regret and uses it in the big picture to make something beautiful.
If regret has become a useless burden around your neck, it's time to drop it. Let it go. Release it. Now, what this release looks like depends on what has happened, who's responsible, and how you reacted to it. Without going through the stage of releasing your regrets, you will never really start over.
We want to learn from our regrets. God wants us to write a new storyline. He doesn't want your life story defined by or built around your regrets. We need to respond to them. We need to face them head on. We need to take 1 Peter 5:7 into account: "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."
Everyone has regrets. Regrets are universal. And they even fill the pages of God's Word. We all make foolish choices, or something or someone does something hurtful to us and we regret it. Please listen to Pastor Frank Bennett's sermon to pinpoint regrets in your own life and what you can do to start to heal by revisiting your regrets.
Do you have fears of where you stand with God. Do you feel inadequate, unworthy, or unloved? In this final week of the Fear Not series, Pastor Frank Bennett shows us that the shepherds felt very similar. But as we see, we have nothing to fear.
This week, we're in the second week of a three-part message series called: "Fear Not." In each of these Gospel stories, we see an angel appear to different people and the first thing that the angel always says is: "Fear not." In this week's story, we are going to watch Joseph battle with the opinions of other people, when he has to decide between doing what is easy and what is right.
We are concluding our amazing series on Revelation. And we are going to look at how we win in the end!
Today, we look at the fall of Babylon. If you remember from last week, I mentioned Babylon not only represents the ancient evil city of Babylon, but also represents the Roman Empire and the
This Sunday, we looked at the fall of Babylon. If you remember from last week, I mentioned that Babylon not only represents the ancient evil city of Babylon, but it also represents the Roman Empire and the evil Satanic spirit of Babylon that we notice in other evil empires in the past and today. The details regarding the pouring out of the seven bowls of wrath are explained in chapters 17 & 18.
God's judgments come like a thief. No one ever thought they would fall. No world power thought they would be taken over by another. Yet history shows that nation after nation has risen and fallen. We must always be prepared to remain true to Jesus even if it becomes the time for our nation to receive judgment for its sins. God's judgment comes unexpectedly. God's final judgment will come like a thief.
Whether you realize it or not, Satan hates you and will do everything possible to keep you from loving and obeying your Creator. His anger is not just against Jesus and the Church. Why is he angry at you? Apparently, because he realizes that humans were created by God with the potential to be higher than he was.
We are in week four of our Revelation series. We are going through this amazing book, which is actually a letter written to the seven churches in Asia Minor or present-day Turkey. This letter was also written to us because it helps prepare us for the last days by showing us what must take place as we read in the very first verse of this book. Don't you feel like we could be living in the last days?
This week in our study of the book of Revelation, we go into the sixth chapter where the Apostle John has his vision of the scroll with the Seven Seals.
In this continuation of our series through the book of Revelation, we will be looking at the Throne of God. You will see things that will bring hope for your future. When you keep in mind that God is on His throne, all else falls away.
Welcome to our new series through the book of Revelation. You will see things in this book that will scare you and make you lose hope. But if you read it all the way through, you will realize that we (the Church) will win in the end. We will start by looking at the Seven Churches Jesus was talking to.
Do any of these words apply to you?
In this final message, we will look at why it takes three to desire your marriage. "Being in love is not an adequate foundation for a successful marriage." Being in love is an emotional and obsessive experience. However, emotions and obsessions fade. What happens when the feeling seems to fade?
We are in Week 2 of our marriage series, "It Takes Three". Three strands create the strongest rope. If you add more strands, the rope is not strengthened because three strands is the most that can touch the other strands at the same time. It takes three, not two to provide the most strength in your marriage.
The strongest rope is a threefold rope. The largest number of strands that can all touch one another is three. If you take one away and leave only two, obviously the rope will be weakened. If you add an extra strand and make four, you do not add to the strength of the rope because the strands no longer touch one another. If you have a rope of three strands, one or two of the strands may be under pressure and start to fray, but as long as the third strand holds, the rope will not break. God is the third strand, touching both lives and becoming an integral part of the relationship making for a stronger marriage.
In our final week of this series, we will be looking at Jesus, the Physician. The word "Physician" is closely related to the word "physical". A physician is someone who is skilled in the art of physical healing. Is Jesus a physician? I would think so-- since He created the physical body. Now think about this. Our bodies are made up of three parts: body, soul, and spirit. Let me ask you a question: Is Jesus concerned about your spirit? Is Jesus concerned about your soul? Isn't it sad that He's only concerned with 2/3 of you? Listen to this sermon to learn how God heals in 3 ways.
How often do we include Jesus in our conversations with friends, co-workers, or teammates? How often do we include Jesus on minor and major decisions?
This week, we take a closer look at Jesus, as the Teacher. 48 times in the Gospels, (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) Jesus was referred to as the Teacher. There are even atheists, who refer to Jesus as having been an amazing teacher. There is a lot you can learn from the "red letters".
In this first message of the Jesus sermon series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how Jesus understands all of our human struggles, especially in our relationships, our work, and our pain. As a human, Jesus experienced similar struggles. Which is why we should take our cares to Jesus.
We all worship something, or even several things. And why? Because we are all wired for worship. But God wants us to worship Him, but not just with music. He wants us to worship Him with our life. Jesus calls us to live a life of worship.
The more we understand worship outside of music, the more we understand the music time of worship.
In this sermon on being "Wired for Worship", Pastor Frank Bennett talks about understanding the ways God asks us to express ourselves in worship, by praising Him.
This Easter, we celebrate Jesus's miraculous resurrection from the grave! Pastor Frank Bennett speaks on the Gospel story of Jesus healing the woman who simply touched the hem of his garment. We also learn about how no matter how broken and bloody our souls are, Jesus will heal us too.
There are great things God may be calling you to do. But there are often people who oppose you that's holding you back. But there's something else holding you back from reaching the potential of where God wants you to be. It's your boats that can take you back to the life you were living. In this message by Pastor Frank Bennett, you will be encouraged to burn the ships.

July 10, 2016 God created us to worship. We all worship something in our life. To better understand God's plan for worship, we need to approach worship by looking to God, listening to His voice, and learning from His holiness and direction for our lives. The approach to worship is an important step in understanding how you're wired for worship.
Many things can make a marriage or relationship off balance. Pastor Frank Bennett shares how time and money causes imbalance and what we can do about it. Using a lesson from the book of Daniel, we learn how to make our decisions on the front-end of situations before the demands begin pulling us away from those things that matter most.

Whether you're married or just dating, we all need to behave in a way that follows God's instructions in His word. The more we behave together, the more we are drawn closer together.
January 18, 2015
In the first message of this Twogether series, Pastor Frank talks about how everyone comes into a marriage or relationship with brokenness. Using the story of Adam and Eve, we can see what broken people do as well as the hope and response from God in the middle of our brokenness. January 11, 2015
There are many things a couple share. The most important shared element is our faith. Couples who walk together in their belief of Jesus as Lord will have a stronger bond. In the final message of this series, Pastor Frank talks to singles and married people about how to find that person of faith and walk with them once you're married. February 1, 2015
In this first message of the Megaphone series, Pastor Frank Bennett reminds us that all Christians are commanded to share Jesus and make disciples. But too often we fall to the sin of silence because of three major fears. Listen as we go over them one by one and what the Bible says about how to overcome them.
February 15, 2015
Through the story of Jonah, we see the outcome of disobedience, as well as obedience. We don't need to focus on leading people to Jesus. That's the job of the Holy Spirit. God just calls us to be prepared and obedient to tell others God's salvation plan. He will take care of the rest. Many times we focus on the outcome, when it's our obedience that needs the attention.
February 22, 2015
Many Christian suffer from amnesia. They have forgotten what it was like before they accepted Christ. This causes a disconnect when telling people about Jesus. We see in the story of Moses how spiritual amnesia can give birth to many excuses for not obeying God's command to help reach a world enslaved and without hope.
March 1, 2015
This 3-part series will prepare you for Easter as Pastor Frank Bennett brings out the significance of the number 3 during this Easter season. This message will focus on the three denials of Peter and the implications it had on his life and the Easter story. March 15, 2015
Money Mayhem is real. Mismanagement of funds can cause Mayhem to grow and stay longer than we desire. And when that happens, our worry takes the place of our right relationship with God. When our relationship with God is broken, He longs for us to return to Him.
May 10, 2015
Your biggest or favorite temptation. You know it’s name. You know when and where it appears. This Mayhem is actually one in which we don’t mind coming around every once in a while. We sort of leave the door unlocked for the Mayhem of Temptation. When this Mayhem strikes, it could leave a damaging mark depending on how we handle the temptation.
In this week of Mayhem, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how storms can appear out of nowhere and cause Mayhem in our lives. But we are reminded that Jesus is in the storm with us, and often leads us into the storms. What comes next is worth the Mayhem of the Perfect Storm. April 26, 2015
As we celebrate the freedom we have in our country, we are reminded in Romans chapters 7 & 8 of the incredible freedom we have in Christ. We are free from condemnation. We are free from the Law and free from death. We can walk in victory because of this freedom.
In chapters 5 & 6 of Romans, we learn that the result of salvation is freedom. We are free from God's wrath and from our sin. Our sins are dead if we walk in new life with Christ. Our sins died on the cross. There are many people walking in bondage to sin because they don't know or don't walk in the truth of salvation. June 28, 2015
Have you ever asked what is God’s will for your life? Have you ever wondered what is your purpose? You may have told God, “If you could just tell me what I need to do and how to live my life, I will do it.” I’m here to tell you that God has already told you. How do we find and know God’s will? It’s found in Romans chapter 12.
July 26, 2015
In the old covenant, obeying the command of God was the reason people did not want to sin. But in the new covenant, established by Jesus, love becomes the reason why we don't want to sin. The original Law of God was not replaced by what Jesus did on the cross, but rather fulfilled by our love for our Savior and of others.
August 2, 2015
In this Father's Day message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares some inspirational truth on how to be a father of faith from the book of Romans. The bottom line is that the Christian faith is not about earning badges. It's about being man enough to accept the free gift of salvation and walking in that faith. June 21, 2015
The best way to feel like you belong to a church is to serve and share life together through small groups. We are all meant to connect with others. We don't fulfill our purpose if we don't connect with others on our walk of faith. Listen to Pastor Frank Bennett as he shares unique examples of how we were meant to connect.

In this AfterLife series, there is an emphasis on the future. This week we go back to the present to see how our past actions have a direct impact on our future destination. Not only is the decision to follow Christ important, but our faithfulness equals greater rewards in Heaven. October 25, 2015
You may have been told as a child that Heaven is so wonderful, that you can't even imagine it. And most people stop there. They don't try to imagine the beauty of Heaven. But Jesus talked about it all the time. And He wants us to imagine Heaven. It will have elements we already enjoy on this earth.
October 18, 2015
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett talks about the present Heaven. This is the place Christians go when they die. But it might surprise you to know how this Present Heaven associates with the present Earth. Tune in to find out.
October 11, 2015
We are reminded in an Old Testament story that we show love to people in need when we recognize their need, remove our excuses, and release our resources. We introduced our new community initiative called Back Pack Buddies to provide meals to children on the weekends. November 15, 2015
In this first week, Pastor Frank Bennett shares the story of how Jesus befriended someone who was considered to be a man not worthy of forgiveness by most people. Jesus gives us the model to do the same with those people in need of forgiveness and acceptance.
The Christmas season is filled with family time. In this message about our heritage, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what we can learn and apply from an amazing Biblical story about faith and family. December 27, 2015
We each have a star God wants us to follow. In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett encourages us to name that star that represents our better marriage, better finances, better self-discipline, and so forth. But like the Christmas story, there is a Herod in your life trying to stop you. Listen to this message to find out how to recognize that Herod. December 13, 2015
Just like the Star of Bethlehem, the "star" God asks us to follow will sometimes fade. But keep searching for the light, because your "star" is still there. If we choose not to follow the star God has for us, we are actually following the Death Star, a star that does not bring life into our situation. December 20, 2015
As we begin this Christmas season, Pastor Frank Bennett takes us on a journey to follow a star. God has given us stars to follow in our lives. What's holding you back? Like the wise men, following the star means to leave the familiar and face dangers. It's also a choice that may not make much sense. But God calls you to follow. Find encouragement in this message. 12/6/15
In this final message of the series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares how we can have boundary success and what that looks like as we develop it.
When building boundaries, it's important to know their effects on others and ourselves. We need to know what we are responsible to, and what we are responsible for. These boundary laws will be the foundation to our boundaries.
We will experience resistance as soon as we establish Biblical and healthy boundaries. It's important to identify these common resistance attempts to tear down your boundaries. You will have outside resistance and internal resistance. Pastor Frank Bennett shares the difference between these two sources.
In this exciting time in our church, we must have 2020 vision for the future. Pastor Frank Bennett shares his vision for Lake Point Church in the upcoming years.
We have all been affected by invitations, in positive and negative ways. Major events in your life have been the result of a simple invitation. As a believer in Jesus, we have the power to change the direction of someone's life for an eternity. This single sermon by Pastor Frank Bennett uses the story of the Palm Sunday to show us how to use this powerful invitation.
As we conclude our "Step into the Ring" series, Pastor Frank Bennett talks about the best ways to keep up our endurance as we defeat our enemy.
March 13, 2016

March 6, 2016
There is an enemy waiting in the fight. We have to name our enemy and know our enemy before we can knock out our enemy.
February 28, 2016
In this inspiring sermon, Pastor Frank Bennett leads us in examining the book of Judges. We focus on Samson, a mighty warrior who had it all--and lost it all.
We all experience chapters from Job's life. When fear, trouble, darkness, and insecurity invade our lives, we can have a response found in Chapter 11 in the Book of Job. This can lead to a broken identity or ego. But there is an alter ego God has for you, because you were made to be a masterpiece. You will found hope in the words from this passage and from this message. April 3, 2016
There are great things God may be calling you to do. But there are often people who oppose you that's holding you back. In this message by Pastor Frank Bennett, you will be encouraged to burn the ships.

In this lesson, Pastor Frank Bennett speaks about how we balance our time. Are we spending it wisely?
May 8, 2016
We all face pressure from our jobs, our kids, our teachers, our parents, and our coaches. This pressure can easily throw us off balance. In this first message of the Balance series, Pastor Frank Bennett shares some Biblical principals which will help us make adjustments in order to bring balance in our lives.
As you come to realize you matter to God, you matter to His purpose and plan, that you matter to the church, and to your family, you will begin to walk in authority as you understand your purpose in life. But there is an Enemy who does not want you to walk in this authority. That is why Paul ends this letter to the church in Ephesus with a focus on why we matter to the Enemy. To have a better understanding of this concept we have a look at the context in which the people of Ephesus are reading this letter.
It’s easy to develop unhealthy relationships within our marriage, families, jobs, and school. We give so much of our energy and resources every time we show love to others. But it’s when we expect something in return that codependency can set in and cause balance issues. Pastor Frank Bennett explains that our source of life must come from God and not others. When that is off-balance, then unhealthy relationship occur.
In this first sermon of this series, our student minister Jackson Grant shares how much we matter to God as found in Ephesians chapter one.
In this sermon, we are reminded of the underlying greater purpose in our life we often overlook. When we connect our daily purpose together with God's purpose for humanity, we see how much of a role we play in the greater purpose.
God has a master plan, and guess what? You're a major part of it. You may feel as though you're not worthy to be a part of His plan. But don't allow your past to get in the way. God's plan for your life is bigger than your past.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares why you matter to your church. You are a vital part in creating and protecting the unity and maturity of your church.
In this message, Pastor Frank Bennett shares what Ephesians 5 tells us about how we matter to our family. Listen to Biblical advice, especially for fathers on this special Father's Day message.
