• Crystal Carson, Vice President of Communications, Culture and Media Partnerships at When We All Vote talked about the nonpartisan nonprofit that brings together citizens, institutions, brands, and organizations to increase participation in every election. Launched by Michelle Obama, the organization is committed to closing the race and age voting gap and empowering all eligible voters to cast their ballot by harnessing grassroots energy, establishing strategic partnerships, and implementing digital organizing strategies, with the ultimate goal of changing the culture around voting.
• Marc Morial, Urban League President stressed how this election is one people have to vote. Morial talked about the enthusiasm gap between Black male Voters verses the general population. He discussed voter suppression and election protection at the polls.
Dr. Judy Monroe, head of the CDC Foundation & advisor to the Pandemic Action Network discussed where are we on the COVID-19 response both in the United States and globally. She talked about holiday gatherings in 2020 and where the greatest needs are for on-the-ground response to COVID-19.
Andrea Hailey, CEO, Vote.org talked about voting trends so far in 2020 and how COVID-19 is impacting our elections. She also discussed how foreign governments can influence an election in the US.
• Myra Biblowit, Breast Cancer Research Foundation President & CEO. Biblowit talked about what makes BCRF unique and the biggest changes in breast cancer research over the last two decades. She discussed some of the challenges facing the breast cancer community in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and how listeners can best help support BCRF.

He’s widely regarded as one of the most accurate pollsters in the world and discussed the strategies and accuracy of polling in 2020 in both local and national elections and the pandemic’s effect on polling participation. He highlighted the importance of influenza and pneumococcal disease prevention during the COVID-19 pandemic and why most everybody should be getting a flu shot this year.
• Jessica Levinson – Professor of Election Law at Loyola Law School and Contributor to NBC News THINK. With the 2020 Election less than month away, Levinson discussed voting law and ethics in the United States. She talked about the different types of voter suppression and how to make sure your vote counts.
• Kate Dischino, VP of emergency programs and Americares preparedness discussed response and recovery programs in the U.S. and around the world related to wildfires, hurricanes and other natural disasters. Dischino is responsible for deploying emergency response teams, coordinating large scale deliveries of medicines and relief supplies and implementing recovery programs that restore health services for disaster survivors. She talked about the Bob Cat Fire in California as well as the Oregon and Washington wildfires with a focus on victims needs and how people can help.
• Shari Sinwelski, Vice President of National Networks, Vibrant Emotional Health and Deputy Director, National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, where she oversees networks operations, standards, training and practices for its network of 165 crisis centers. September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and this year it’s even more important to discuss mental health as both the CDC and WHO have stated that our mental health is “languishing” amid the COVID-19 pandemic and issued warnings about its possible effects on suicidal behaviors. Sinwelski discussed how people can maintain hope if they are feeling suicidal and where they can get help.

•Daniel Nigro is the Commissioner of the Fire Department of New York. He discussed how 9/11 is being remembered in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The FDNY has increased the size of its World Trade Center memorial wall at its Brooklyn headquarters as they prepare to add the names of 27 more members who died of illnesses linked to the toxic air at Ground Zero during the rescue and recovery efforts.
•Stephen Siller is the CEO and President of the Frank Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation. The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s mission is to honor the sacrifice of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. To date, The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has spent over $250 million to honor and support our first responders and their families. Vice President Pence will speak peak at Tunnel to Towers September 11 Memorial Ceremony and be joined by families of 9/11 victims to honor the lives lost in 2001. Siller discussed the foundation and talked about the 2020 Never Forget Virtual Challenge.

On September 11, 2001, Jay lost his younger brother Glenn J. Winuk, an attorney and volunteer firefighter/EMT, who ran from a position of safety into the WTC South Tower.
