On this episode of the podcast, Tess, Sam, Holly and special guest and self-confessed IDLES fan Zak Wash, discuss the latest record from Bristol Post-Punks IDLES. They dissect what makes this band and album so divisive and weigh up the merits of the record's pronounced politics and bombastic sound.
On this episode of the podcast, Holly, Sam and Adam delve into the new record by Welsh electronic artist Kelly Lee Owens, "Inner Song". We dissect the genre blurring exercise that is "Inner Song" and provide some context for the period that led up to the record which Owens describes as "the worst three years of her life".
This week the Analysis Paralysis "kids" look into Stevan’s mixtape, ‘Just Kids’.
The 18 year old Wollongong musician looks at the process of working out the difference between budding love and intense lust while wrapping his narratives in smooth, intimate production reminiscent of Steve Lacy and Mac DeMarco.
Tess, Sam and Tanya look back at their early romantic relationships and compare them with the ones on Stevan's mixtape. Plus, they also question why Gen Z kids seem to know what's going on (across the board) a bit better than they did during the same stages of their lives.

Analysis Paralysis discuss "Forever, Ya Girl" the debut album by the Chicago born, New York based artist KeiyaA.
The record deconstructs the R&B form through a blurry concoction of warped loops, oblique samples and pop craft with each song providing a piece of a broader narrative around loss, community and black liberation. The team also discuss the state of underground R&B and Hip Hop and the way success, money and artistic merit is measured in today's constantly shifting musical landscape.
The AP team rifle around through the latest record 'Song for our Daughter' by British musician Laura Marling.
A more subtle, minimal series of compositions from Marling has the team wondering about the role of folk music, the importance of narratives in music that are penned by women for women and the enduring nature of the 'manic pixie dream girl' in popular culture.

This week, the Analysis Paralysis team dig into the recently released album 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters', the fifth album from American singer-songwriter Fiona Apple.
Fetch The Bolt Cutters is a heady mix of percussion, noise, piano lines, feminism and fury. Unflinching in its focus and filled with incisive gut-punching lyrics, the team dig deep to work through their feelings brought on by listening to the album and consider the wider criticial acclaim the record has received from critics.
CONTENT WARNING: Fiona Apple's 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters' is a work that explicitly discusses sexual assault, domestic violence and abuse. We discuss these themes as they crop up on tracks.

Tanya, Tess, Sam and Adam look at the lyricism on the record, the jazzy intonations that inspire music of the music, its somber late-AM lonliness and subtly enquire upon the themes of fatherhood and growing up swirling within.

IGOR is the follow up to his Grammy nominated record Flower Boy, a record that saw Tyler mature both his sound and lyrical content and offered a level of introspection not found on his previous records. IGOR is a continuation of the path he began to pave on Flower Boy and contains some of Tyler's most boundary-pushing songs to date.

On the eight episode of Analysis Paralysis Tanya Bunter, Sam Cummins and Adam Christou dissect "PROTO", the third album by Berlin based American experimental electronic composer Holly Herndon.
The album was created in collaboration with an AI program named “Spawn”. It’s a record that explores the ethics of artificial intelligence and the increasing use of it as a tool in music production and marketing with Herndon herself choosing to use AI in a collaborative sense rather than handing over full creative control.
