TOPIC: WAITING FOR GOD

BIBLE VERSE: Micah 7:7 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

It is one thing to wait on God and another thing to wait for God.

Most people wait on God but only few wait for God. And that is why it looks as if some pray to God without receiving answers. To wait on God means fasting and prayer but waiting for God is patiently exercising your faith by believing that your answer are on the way, with your hope alive.

You may be surprise that some people after praying in the morning may forget their prayer point before 12 noon, which means they have no expectation. They are just fulfilling all righteousness.

The Bible said PRAY (wait on) and WATCH (wait for). Jacob waited on God and his prayer was answered but he had to wait for 21 days. What am I saying to you this morning? Don't just wait only on God, also wait for God. HE may not come too early but HE will never come late.

As you pray this morning I want you to wait for God throughout the day, be conscious of your request throughout the day. Let your faith be alive.

Don’t bother about waiting on God when you are not willing to wait for God.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace in faith to always wait for You and as I wait for you let my expectation be granted, in Jesus name, Amen.

ACTION POINT: Avoid Impatience, Learn To Trust In God.

TOPIC: SCHOOL OF TRIAL.

BIBLE VERSE: James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

A minister was recovering from a dangerous illness, when one of his friends addressed him thus: "Sir, though God seems to be bringing you up from the gates of death, yet it will be a long time before you will sufficiently retrieve your strength, and regain vigor enough of mind to preach as usual."

The good man answered: " You are mistaken, my friend; for this six weeks' illness has taught me more divinity than all my past studies and all my ten years' ministry put together."

Are you passing through trials? I want you to understand that that trail is for a purpose. There are so many reasons why God do allow us to pass through trails. Trails humble people. Trials bring people back to God. Trail teaches people lessons. Trail makes people stronger.

In the school of trail, you need to be strong to stay through. There's always a testimony at the end of trial when we stay through in love with God. Time of trials is not time to point accusing fingers to God, not time to question God, not time to fall back to sin, and not time to accept options from the devil.

God is not allowing you to pass through trials because He hates you rather because He wants to teach you a lesson. Instead of complaining around about the trials you are passing through; patiently identify the reason for such trials in your life. Just as gold has to pass through the fire for the beauty to shine, we have to pass through trails to gain God's confidence for exploits.

Stay Strong!

If you don’t want to face trials then forget a triumphant living.

PRAYER: Lord, I need your grace to stay strong through trials, let my trails turn into testimonies.

ACTION POINT: Learn From Your Trails And Remain Faithful To God To The End.

TOPIC: STOP BEING DEFENSIVE.

BIBLE VERSE: James 1:19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Being defensive means, always having a reason (whether the truth or not) to defend your actions or reactions.

Do you often suspect that others are thinking ill of you?

• Do you generally try to protect yourself from pain by keeping a safe distance from others?

• Do you feel the overwhelming need to make sure others know you were right in a particular circumstance?

• Do you usually get offended when someone offers even "constructive criticism"?

If you had to answer 'yes’ to any of these questions, I suggest that you might well have a problem with defensiveness. Somehow, all of us are guilty of defensiveness.

Defensiveness is like pride. It hinders us from growing and developing ourselves. It makes a man to repeat his mistakes on daily basis. It causes someone to always lie in other to defend himself. It is a sinker. I've observed from those that have worked and are still working with me, that any man given to defensiveness, will always find it hard to learn new things. He is always having a reason why he has to make the same old mistake again and again.

The truth is that, you can defeat defensiveness. Consciously observe yourself to know the area you are a victim of it, and discipline yourself to stop being over defensive. Being over defensive makes you to speak the "true" and not the "truth". You look for any available cover-up story to tell. You end up pleasing man and displeasing God.

You are not a failure until you start giving excuses.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to overcome the habit of defensiveness. Give me a learner's heart.

ACTION POINT: Try To Take Corrections When You Have To. Avoid Defending Yourself When Is Not Really Necessary.

TOPIC: DISCONNECT FROM UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS.

BIBLE VERSE: Psalm 55:12-13 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

There's a saying that, "it is he who knows you that can kill you". Friends are easy to come by, but true ones are difficult to know. Many people you call friends around you, are not what you think they are. They are what I call unfriendly friends. They are like a leech.

Bible said we should be careful of who we trust as a friend. Friends can influence a man's life positively or negatively depending on the kind of friends available. That means you have to choose your friends carefully.

Who is an unfriendly friend? Simply say, an unfriendly friend is someone that celebrate your success with envy, someone who is not willing to add any value to your life and also not willing to allow you add value to his/her life. I have had some of such unfriendly friends hanged around me. They only come around when they have a need or when things are going on well for you. They discard you in time of your tribulations.

Please note that there's difference between keeping friends and being friendly. You can be friendly to as many as you can but be careful in keeping friends. Mind how you trust friends. Jealousy and envy can push a friend to turn to an enemy. Mind what you share with friends. The heart of man is desperately wicked. An unfriendly friend mistakes your testimony to be that you are mocking him/her. Unfriendly friend will gossip you behind.

Once you notice that someone is an unfriendly friend, don't hesitate to disconnect from such person. That doesn't mean keeping malice with the person, but keep a distant from such person.

Your friends can make or mar you.

PRAYER: Lord, expose all my unfriendly friends and disconnect me from them supernaturally.

ACTION POINT: Before You Take Someone As A friend, Observe Him/Her.

TOPIC: WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN GOD IN YOUR LIFE?

BIBLE VERSE: Luke 9:61 Another said, “Yes, Lord, I will follow you, but first let me say good-bye to my family”

I know without second thought many of us will say nothing is more important than God. We may be right, but we need to critically look at our attitudes toward God.

Where is God in your priority list? Is God the number one in your life? Different things stand as number one to many people, things like money, family, business, work, food, pleasure, football, fashion etc.

Some people because of rain will not go to church but will go to work and market. Some have never prayed for the church and ministers but call on God everyday for their own needs. You hurry out without reading your Bible or praying because you are late. But no matter how late you are, you eat and have time to apply makeup. Some people will discuss about the football match their watch on saturday at work on monday, but will never discuss about the sermon they hear on sunday. Some neglect to attend church service because of work, business or function. Some don't pay their tithe because they have to solve family issues.

There are many things we do with negligence of God's view about them, all because of the wrong mindset of "God will understand" If you are used to "GOD WILL UNDERSTAND", read your Bible very well. The only thing that God understands is His word. Find out what God said that will happen to those who seek Him with the lips while the heart is far from Him.

Denounce that thing that is more important than God in your life. Don't assume that God is number one, observe an in-depth reflection.

Everything you are running after comes to you on their own when God becomes your number one priority.

PRAYER: Father, I ask for your mercy in anywhere I've made anything more important than You in my life. Give me the grace to love You more than anything else.

ACTION POINT: Be Careful Of What Consumes Your Heart. Make God Your First Priority.

TOPIC: GOD IS YOUR SOURCE OF EXPLOIT.

BIBLE VERSE: Daniel 11:32B...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Those who do know their God shall do exploits. How do you know your God? By becoming a follower of Jesus. And when you become a follower of Jesus, He will make known unto you the heavenly secrets that will enable you to do exploits. John 15:15I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

When you become a friend of God, then you will have what it takes to make history and not just keep history.

The truth is that as a child of God, your generation is waiting for your manifestation. Remember there's something you are destined to do that the world needs to see to glorify your father in heaven.

You have a Global Mandate; with God all things are possible. Don't limit your God by a powerless thinking and talking. There's no other genuine source of exploit in life except God.

It is your duty to know your God if you must do exploit. Those that know His name will put their trust in Him and by that trust will do great works. You need to cultivate the desire to know more about and experience more of God each and every day. When you develop such desire, He continues to reveal more of Himself to you by the Spirit and His written word. Why many people are finding it difficult to know God is because each time they have access to seek for something from God, all they ask is about their cares and burdens. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t go to God with our cares and burdens. But if you want to know God, I mean, really know Him, there is another kind of prayer you need to pray. The type that Moses prayed in Exodus 33:13 that says Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight.

God calls anything you do without Him, NOTHING.

PRAYER: Father, as your child, I ask for the grace to do exploits that men will witness to glorify your name in heaven.

ACTION POINT: Avoid Anything That Will Cause Enmity Between You And God. And Seek To Do God's Good Will.

TOPIC: EVERY CALL OF GOD IS A HIGH CALLING.

BIBLE VERSE: Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Whatever assignment that God assigned you to accomplish here on earth, is a very vital one.

You need to understand that every calling of God is a high calling. It does not matter how relevant it may appear in the eyes of men.

In the agenda of Heaven, that your purpose on earth is as crucial as any other purpose. God knows why He designed you to fulfill that specific task. Don't fall victim of viewing your calling as less important.

The entire world may not get to know you at the end, but God is very much aware of you. Don't bother if your God given purpose is not the type that will make you very famous. True fame is what people say about you when you are gone.

Concentrate on your calling and give it the best you can. There's something that only you can do and until you do it, it will remain undone. You were born to do something the world will not be able to ignore. When you fail to recognize your God’s given assignment as a high calling, you end up envying and mimicking others. And this can hinder you from actualizing your full potentials. You may feel your own purpose is not as financially rewarding as others; I want you to know that your best reward is what heaven is keeping in stock for you. God did not make a mistake in anything that has to do with you. Remember He gave to the servants talents according to their various abilities. You have to focus on your calling and press toward the mark for the prize. Your calling is indeed a high calling. Many people are struggling to achieve success in their endeavors, simply because they have left their God-given assignment to purse what they perceive to be working for others. The truth is that your true and greatest fulfillment in life is hidden in your calling in life.

PRAYER:Lord, grant me the divine enablement to press toward the mark for the prize of your high calling for my life.

ACTION POINT:Treat Your Purpose On Earth As Most Significant In The Agenda Of Heaven.

TOPIC: THE WORDS YOU NEED AS A BUSINESS OWNER.

BIBLE VERSE: Psalms 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

In this current economy, you must remember that if you honor God through your business he will direct your path.

Let me inspire you with some of these bible verses as a business owner. You need to use these bible verses in the good and tough times in your business.

Proverbs 3:5-6“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.”

Learn something every day. If you only lean on your own knowledge in your business, you will not be able to grow. You must grow yourself to grow your business

Isaiah 43:19“Behold, I am doing something new! It’s already happening; don’t you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.”

Sometimes your business will need to move as the market pulls you in a different direction. You might need to reinvent your business, and you should not be afraid. God’s always got your back.

Philippians 4:6”Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

One of the most important things you can do for your business is to pray every day.I have this acronym for prayer that says, Prayer Releases All Your Eternal Resources.

James 2:26“Faith without works is dead.”

You can’t just pray for success. Develop a plan and work your plan. If you can do something about your situation, then do it. Stop making excuses, stop procrastinating, and do it!

Proverbs 13:11 says,“Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.”

The only sound foundation is the Word of God. It is also so very critical that you rely on the Holy Spirit to lead you into what will be effective and sustainable.

Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

All of our skills and special talents that we use in our businesses are all given to us by God. He gives us the ability to make money and cut deals. He did it for our parents and mentors and he does it for us too. You need to remember God in all that you do in your business.

Applying God's words in your business will recreate your business and help you to experience growth.I pray that you will be inspired by God's word. Your faith in yourself and your business are key to your long-term success.

PRAYER:Father, I commit my business into your hands, I ask for your divine leading and favour. Grant me the grace to apply your Words.

ACTION POINT: Give Your Business A New Approach. Locate God’s Word for your business and endeavor to apply it.

TOPIC: RECONNECT BACK TO GOD.

BIBLE VERSE: Luke 15:18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

What's your relationship with God? Are you sure of your connection with God? Are you still in a good relationship with God? Have you grieved the Holy Spirit? Have you forsaken God's will for your life? Have you allowed the temptations and challenges of life to disconnect you from God? Is your spiritual life what it used to be before? Have you gotten used to sin that is no longer a sin to you? Do you still have the fear of God in all you do? Have you gone back to your vomits?

You have to tell yourself the sincere truth. You know what your experience was when you first gave your life to Christ. You know where you are now. Examine your life and tell yourself if you are better or worst than before. Do you still pray and fast as before? Do you still do the things you used to do before? Have you fallen by the wayside?

If you know that your connection with God is not as strong and stable as before, it is time to reconnect back to God. Devil may have deceived you that God can't accept you back or that your sins are unforgivable. That's a big lie.

God is ever ready to receive us back. 2 Tim 2:13 If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. You have to reconnect back to God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Word of God. I encourage you today to get back to God's Word. I remember 2013 when I felt so disconnected from God and God told me while I was praying, "It is you who left Me and not Me, get back to my Word." The first step in reconnecting back to God is to sincerely confess your sins and ask for God's mercy, then you need to get back to God's Word.

I don't care how bad your own disconnection is right now. Maybe you can't even remember the last time you prayed, read your Bible, fasted or went for evangelism. Maybe you got so carried away that you went back to the things you have preached to others not to do. Whatever is that sin that has disconnected you from God. You have to rise and return back to your heavenly father. Do it now, you can't go on like this.

God is already waiting for you to return to Him.

PRAYER: Father, as a prodigal child, I return to You. I confess I've sinned against You. Forgive me and give me another chance.

ACTION POINT: Is Time To Reconnect Back, Regain Your First Love For God.
