If you haven't yet heard the term "Quiet quitting" -- you're not alone.

What's covered in this episode:

When it comes to managing the things that are out of our control i.e. economic cycles that rear their heads every few years...

These are the times when it's critical to double down on making your business systems bulletproof. As we've discussed in previous episodes, it's the companies that are unable to react quickly, and it's the companies without a firm grip on their processes and performance controls, that often get taken out first due to their bottom line and cash reserves being unable to sustain the swing.

In this episode, I wanted to share the 4 critical systems required to help ensure you and your teams stay laser focused in the right areas throughout any type of economic cycle.

Hope this helps, and as always, here's to your success and freedom!

It's a well-known fact that employee turnover is expensive.

But just how much does it cost?

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average price tag for replacing an employee stands at about $30,000.

That includes everything from advertising costs and application fees to training and severance payouts.

In some industries, like healthcare or hospitality, this number can skyrocket as high as $100,000 per person!

Despite these staggering statistics, many business owners still don't focus on developing a strategy for retaining employees before they've even hired them in the first place.

In this episode I wanted to share the secret strategy that's helped my and hundreds of other business owners next to eliminate employee turnover.

Don't get me wrong, having goals is important. But this is where most people stop. I learned long ago after years of frustration and disappointment to fall in love with the system rather than the goal..

What does that mean?

Well, if you think about it...a goal is really just a future destination. And if it's an audacious one, it'll require a lot of consistent, daily commitment. Remember, it's a marathon not a sprint. Which is a perfect example. Running a marathon is a great goal.

I decided to sign up for the 13 hour Ironman Triathlon in France back in 2012. And the only reason I had a hope in heck of achieving it - was by falling in love with the process towards making it happen. Putting in the work, every day became a ritualized routine which ultimately lead to the goal being achieved.

Building any business is HARD

For most business owners, it's not uncommon for them to have to wear multiple hats day in and day out to keep things moving along...

The problem with this is that eventually, you begin to hit a ceiling of diminishing returns - where spending more time, actually starts to hurt your growth.

Enter the need for building a "self-managed" business...which is just a fancy way for saying that your business can function without relying on you day in and day out.

After spending the past 12+ years building and growing "self-managed" teams and business - I began noticing a pattern at play..

It looked like the above formula, and the easiest way to describe it is by using the "viking ship" analogy...

When you can say that you have the right people in the right seats, doing the right things at the right time..WITHOUT needing you there to push the flywheel..

...THAT'S when you can say you've got a "Self-managed" business, and can then start to push the pedal to the metal.

If you'd like to learn how to get started making this transformation in your business, I've put together some free training over at http://bookwithtim.com
