This is a podcast venture that look into our lives as a medical student and find hidden emotions in medicine, empathy, kindness and helping hands lifting each other up. The podcast is run by students of NAIHS.
We always hear everyone emphasizing the importance of empathy, connecting with patient, being considerate of their problems but rarely do we talk about the possible emotional turmoil physicians may suffer. Even for ensuring better care to the patient, health care providers are supposed to maintain professional detachment, so their judgment is not blurred. So where do we draw the line between emotional concern and detachment?
Aayushama and Manita discuss with Dr. Richa Amatya, a consultant psychiatrist, about the importance of empathy as well as remembering to step back when it is needed. Thank you ma'am for joining.

Men have been in the delivery room as health care professionals, as medical trainee and in many different roles. But husband accompanying women to delivery rooms as a partner is an emerging concept in our part of the world.
While there are many advantages to both men and women when attending labor together, it is also equally important for the decision to be an informed choice.
Here, in this episode, host Prarthana talks to Maj. Dr, Bibhusan Neupane, consultant OBGY and friends from NAIHS about this concept of men accompanying their partner during delivery.
