To celebrate what would have been John Lennon’s 80th birthday, we are pleased to welcome Dave Morrell. Beginning as a teen in the 1970s, he amassed such an impressive collection of Beatles memorabilia that when John Lennon heard about it, he promptly asked to meet him. This would begin a series of meetings where Dave would delight John with rare Beatles footage. Morrell subsequently worked in promotions for several record labels, including Capitol. He not only got to work on a Lennon project, but on Paul McCartney’s Press to Play.
