Quality of Mind: Realising Exponential Human Potential In Every Aspect of Life & Work. A rare opportunity for curiousity, intrigue and insight as you explore a game changing understanding of the mind

View Details

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''Before Psychology'' - the Secret Source' that exponentially increases the peace, performance, and potential for any individual or organisation.🧭 Episode Summary:Leading from Your Highest Frequency: The Shift That Changes Everything - What if the secret to transformation wasn’t more effort, but less?

In this conversation, Piers is joined by Carolina—a self-described “quantum-preneur” and lifelong system challenger—to explore what lies beyond the conventional narrative of psychological effort, productivity, and leadership. T

Drawing on examples from nature, frequency science, and lived experience, they examine what it means to lead from the inside-out, why presence is more powerful than personality, and how leadership shifts when we stop managing our minds and start tuning into a deeper field of intelligence.

Listen in to explore and unravel the deeper intelligence of frequency, presence, and felt experience.

This episode covers:

The Myth of Mental Effort: Why even brilliant, well-intentioned leaders feel trapped in a system of grind — and what opens up when we stop playing that game.

From Thinking to Feeling to Sensing: How most of what we call “feeling” is actually thought — and how to recalibrate to the real, felt experience beneath it.

Frequency & Flow: You’re not “low energy,” you’re just misaligned. The power of vibrational awareness and coherence in leadership.

Language Gets in the Way: When describing falls short, sensing takes over. Why flow, frequency, and state can’t be fully explained — but they can be known.

Nature as a Teacher: What horses, babies, and “cutting the tension in the room” show us about energetic leadership.

Leadership as State, Not Strategy: Your presence is doing the work. How your inner aperture influences everything around you.

We Are Not Broken — Just Desensitised: You don’t need fixing, you just need remembering. Reconnection, not self-improvement, is the path.

From Me to We: Why legacy isn't about doing more — it’s about being differently. The shift from personal success to embodied impact.

🔎 For Listeners Who:

  • Feel the weight of responsibility, but suspect there’s another way
  • Want to access their best-day leadership more consistently
  • Sense the limitations of conventional mindset tools
  • Are curious about how presence and frequency influence business, relationships, and wellbeing
  • Are ready to go beyond the conceptual and into direct experience

This episode is a invitation to stop efforting and start sensing. If you’re curious about what it means to live, lead, and create from an entirely different paradigm... this one’s for you.

🧭 Mentioned in the Episode:

  • Energy Fields & The Heart’s Intelligence: Why the heart’s magnetism matters more than the brain’s charge
  • Expanded vs Contracted Aperture: A Quality of Mind lens for understanding state and clarity
  • Cold Showers, Grounding & Nature: Simple ways to sense the raw intelligence of presence
  • Human Doings vs Human Beings: Why we’ve forgotten how to feel — and how to get it back
  • The Field is Always Working: But are we available to receive?
  • Feeling as Feedback: Using sensation as a gentle, impersonal indicator of aperture

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''Before Psychology'' - the Secret Source' that exponentially increases the peace, performance, and potential for any individual or organisation.🧭 Episode Summary:In this expansive and exploratory conversation, Piers joins Dr Amy Johnson on the Changeable Podcast show for a deep dive into the lived reality of the Quality of Mind and Before Psychology understanding. Showing how through every day life relationships, desires, discomforts, and even minor eye-roll moments—functions as a mirror showing us where self identity is still subtly hiding.

The episode explores how our desires and reactions are not random or personal but invitations to notice where we are still believing in a separate self.

  • Life is a Mirror: Everything—especially your desires, discomforts, and relationships—acts as a mirror showing where identity is still subtly hiding.
  • Desire is Not the Problem: Desire becomes a compass. Clean wants flow naturally; unclean ones reveal where the self is trying to prop itself up.
  • Feeling vs Thinking: Much of what we call “feeling” is actually conceptualisation. Real transformation begins when we stop analysing and start sensing.
  • Real but Never True: All experience is real but not objectively true. When seen from this lens, experience becomes less personal and more revealing.
  • Subtlety is the New Frontier: As our aperture widens, we become more attuned to the micro-resistances and subtle patterns where identity still hides.
  • There Is No Separate Self: The shift isn’t in fixing yourself—it’s in seeing that what you think you are never existed in the way it seemed.
  • Practical Non-Duality: These insights aren’t just philosophical—they profoundly shift parenting, working, relating, and even cooking dinner.
  • The System Learns Naturally: You don’t have to figure this out. When you're no longer distracted, the system shows you exactly what you need to see.

🔎 For Listeners Who: Sense there's more* to life but are tired of trying to fix themselves to find it * Feel stuck in loops of self-improvement or subtle identity work * Want to bring more freedom, insight and presence to work, leadership, parenting, or any aspect of daily life * Are curious about non-duality and want to explore it in grounded, relatable ways * Feel stuck in loops of self-improvement or subtle identity work * Want to bring more freedom, insight and presence to parenting, work or daily life * Are noticing the limits of conceptual thinking and are ready to live more from the raw aliveness of the present

🧭 Mentioned in the Episode:* Silent Retreats: As a direct pointer to the parts of ourselves we habitually distract from * The Mirror Metaphor: A recurring theme—how life reflects our inner landscape back to us * “Clean” vs “Unclean” Desires: A practical tool for checking where we’re coming from * Parenting Examples: Real-life stories about identity, validation, and subtle control * Direct Inquiry: Practices like “Which ‘I’ is asking?” and “Can I find the one who is upset?” * The ‘Isness’ of Experience: A term used to describe the raw, pre-conceptual nature of life * The System’s Learning Extravaganza: Piers’ phrase for how insight unfolds naturally * Telepathy Tapes Podcast: Referenced as an example of unfiltered sensing without self-identification * Cold Showers as Practice: A visceral pointer to raw sensation vs conceptualised feeling

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''Before Psychology'' - the Secret Source' that exponentially increases the peace, performance, and potential for any individual or organisation. 🧭 Episode Summary:What if everything we’ve been taught about resilience and healing is upside down?

Piers chats with leadership coach and former lawyer Bill Giruzzi about the hidden architecture behind healing, resilience, and our capacity for wellbeing. They explore how society’s obsession with avoiding discomfort is not only unhelpful — it’s quietly costing us our aliveness, potential, and freedom.

Through Bill’s deeply personal story of debilitating anxiety and the profound insights that emerged on the other side, we unpack:

  • Why “getting rid of symptoms” isn’t the same as true wellbeing
  • How trying to manage or avoid uncomfortable feelings can keep us stuck
  • The real shift that dissolves suffering at its source (and why it’s not what you think)
  • Why the system is already built to heal — if we stop interfering
  • The modern misunderstanding of resilience in business and leadership
  • How our resistance to discomfort is often driven by a case of mistaken identity

This episode challenges the conventional view of performance, healing, and leadership — and invites a deeper, more liberating understanding of the mind that’s surprisingly simple, yet profoundly transformative.

💡 Key Takeaways:* The problem isn’t the feeling — it’s the resistance to it. * There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re not broken. You’re just believing something untrue. * True resilience comes not from building a thicker skin, but from seeing there’s nothing you need protection from. * Your wellbeing isn’t something you earn — it’s something you uncover.

🔎 For Listeners Who:* Are leaders, entrepreneurs, or coaches feeling worn down by chronic coping * Sense there must be more to life and leadership than managing stress and ticking boxes * Want to understand how to access a deeper, more sustainable version of wellbeing and freedom * Are open to looking in a direction that challenges everything they thought they knew about the mind

🧭 Mentioned in the Episode:* The myth of "fixing" yourself * Flow state, self-identification, and the illusion of control * Cold showers, toddlers, and the surprising route to emotional freedom

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''before psychology'' - that exponentially increases the performance, resourcefulness and well-being for any individual or organisation. Many Journeys Pointing to One Realisation - Why Are There Are So Many Different Approaches to Transformation & Human Potential?

This episode is a conversation with show regular Helen Amery, a fellow coach of the understanding behind Quality of Mind. We describe four doorways for transformation – psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual (direct and indirect) The discussion further explores the relationship between 'awakening' and 'enlightenment', viewing the former as grasping one's truest essence, and the latter denoting the continuous detangling of the human psychological condition after awakening. Whereas there are many approaches to transformation and human development there are also some we wouldn't recommend as much as others...

The discussion covers:

  • The Limitations of Traditional Psychology and the Search for Something More
  • The Awakening: Discovering the Non-Dual Landscape
  • Why Are There Such a Diverse Range of Approaches in Personal and Professional Development
  • The Common Goal of All Approaches: Uncovering the True Self
  • Disentangling the Human Experience
  • The Role of Awakening in the Enlightenment Process
  • Exploring Different Doorways to Enlightenment
  • The Intersection of Emotion and Physicality - The Body as a Signal for Attention
  • The Importance of Embracing the Full Gamut of Human Experience

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''before psychology'' - that exponentially increases the performance, resourcefulness and well-being for any individual or organisation. In this episode, Piers chats with corporate coach Dominic Scaffidi. Dominic and Piers did three episodes together back in 2020 exploring 'What is behind the magic of transformational coaching' and now they get back together to see what has been evolving in their own groundings and work.

This episode explores what is truly transformative about coaching from this understanding of Before Psychology and Quality of Mind. It is a deep and sometimes technical conversation about the nature of consciousness, self-limitation, and the essence of being.

They explore the idea of achieving versus allowing, noting that individuals can only experience the expansive nature of their being by dropping their resistance. They discuss how people often look for solutions outside themselves, forgetting that their real identity is infinite. The conversation also includes examples from business to illustrate their points effectively.

This Episode Covers:

  • The only challenge we ever have in business is our own mind
  • The appearance of solidity and limitation. There is nothing solid really to be dealing with
  • A simple business example of how we innocently look in the wrong place
  • The confusion between how it appears success is created and what is actually going on
  • The utilitarian usefulness of definitions
  • The desire for more to overcome the illusion of scarcity
  • The nuance between allowing and revealing
  • The limitlessness to what is available
  • Why people really come to coaching, what we are all seeking

This episode is taken from the podcast series What is a Good Life? where Mark McCartney is on a mission to explore the answer to that wonderful question. He ha already interviewed 150+ people, and now asks some excellent questions about the Before Psychology approach and Quality of Mind. Our discussion covers:

  • Piers takes us on his journey, from exploring counselling, NLP, and other modalities to direct path non-duality.
  • We discuss the challenges often faced in personal development rooted in self-identification, breaking free from our addiction to focussing on our psychology, transcending the confines of the mind while fully embracing our emotions
  • How ultimately it about revealing a sense ease that can be experienced in life when we let go of our attachment to the separate self.

This podcast series explores the 'before psychology' game-changing understanding of the human mind that can exponentially increase the performance, resourcefulness and well-being for any individual or organisation.

This episode we talk to regular contributor and friend of the show Katrijn Van Oudheusden on the day her new book is launched -Beyond Illusion: Exploring the Six Illusions that Cause Our Mistaken Belief in a Separate Self.' This is Katrijn's second book, and it lays down the foundation to exploring the illusion we are all innocently hoodwinked by - that we are a separate self. This book pieces together with insights from neuroscience and philosophy evidence that both directly and indirectly points us to recognise the true nature of what we are, and consciousness as the fabric of reality itself.

Our discussion covers:

  • How come the second book is really the first book - foundations .v. implications

  • How the book is aimed at those people with an inkling there must be a different way seeing the world and operating

  • The relevance in today's world of need to point to something to 'keep the conceptual mind happy' before people will fall awake to something more 'spiritual'

  • A brief explanation of the 6 illusions - and how they progress from most accessible to recognise to more hidden and harder to realise

  • The relevance of chapter 7 - introducing the importance step of actual inquiring into this directly and for yourself

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''before psychology'' - that can exponentially increase the performance, resourcefulness and well-being for any individual or organisation.Piers chats with the authors of a new wonderfully helpful book on the subject of exploring Non Duality (which forms the foundation of Quality of Mind). Helen Amery the co-author, as been a regular on the show and she is joined by Sara Priestly to discuss how they developed 'The Complete Book of Awakening'.

In this episode we discuss:

  • How the book – The Complete Book of Awakening - came about
  • Why the book is called “Complete”
  • The definition of awakening
  • Who the book is for -Why this isn’t a book to ‘read for gist’
  • Why the book removes all spiritual dogma and paradox
  • Why direct inquiry and logic are a powerful combination
  • The three levels of experience and putting them in their right order
  • Why our conceptual labels don’t reflect reality
  • Why resistance arises during an awakening inquiry and why that’s OK
  • Why this inquiry is your own – you have to see it for yourself – and why the outcome isn’t a life floating in bliss as many imagine it to be
  • Why goals of a nicer life must be put secondary to seeing your essential nature
  • How do you know if you’ve recognsied your essential nature – awakened?
  • Why awakening results in the behaviour changes that we usually ‘try’ to make happen in business

They discuss the way forward....😊

In this episode we discuss:

  • The roots of our current prevailing corporate culture and leadership style
  • How ideas like non-hierarchical organizations, or different ways of having conversations have emerged, but missing the true understanding and relevance of human consciousness
  • How our conditioning and culture has made some areas seem a no go - and then we wake up
  • What do we fear losing by exploring something different?
  • An organisational example of where it does work, to start from a different foundation

This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that operates ''before psychology'' - that can exponentially increase the performance, resourcefulness and well-being for any individual or organisation. In this episode Piers chats with Clare Dimond a wonderful return guest to the show, and this time the topic is about how the personal mind creates a sense of seeking and wanting, and how we can tune into a 'purer' sense of evolving and creating. Clare is a skilled teacher of the understanding behind Quality of Mind, and a prolific and gifted author.

In this episode we discuss:

  • What is behind all wants and desires
  • The red herring of the rewards in life, our peak moments - fuelling the confusion.
  • The purpose of resistance - not trying to avoid it and how it is our inner conditioning made external -
  • Feel and sensing not thinking about our feelings and emotions
  • Shifting out of identification and inevitable resistance, and how that leads to curiousity
  • Deeper knowing and sensing, obviousness
  • Two types of sensitivity: our fluid raw primal 'reality immersion' and our conceptual separated conditioned based sensitivity
  • The intelligence in how to run the body mind- the sensing and then our innocent identification to that
  • The natural revealing a way of supporting a body mind to its optimum

Explore with us!

This a different type of episode to usual, as we conduct a real time 'direct experience self inquiry'. You can listen and explore along with us, as Katrijn and I chat with Emily, who bravely volunteered to be our live demonstration subject.

A direct experience self inquiry is a process whereby someone explores the nature of what something is - using ‘direct experience’ i.e. not using beliefs or learnt concepts, but instead exploring in a fresh, non-intellectual, almost 'sensing' way.

The benefit from this is foundational, as it underpins all our work in Quality of Mind and the wonderful impact that can have on someone's life and work.

Please - we really want your feedback on this episode! So please share your comments and questions, if you want to voice it rather than write please do so here https://sayhi.chat/QoM -

In this episode Piers chats with fellow coach Helen Amery. They discuss the common, but misunderstood topic of disillusionment. Usually we think it’s terrible to be in a state of confusion or disappointment about life when in fact these times provide the perfect opportunity to discover something new and fresh. This podcast series explores a game-changing understanding of the human mind that can exponentially increase the performance, resourcefulness and well-being for any individual or organisation.

Please note this episode gets a little technical (or some might say profound!) so you might want to listen first to some other episodes (e.g. benefits and role and relevance of Quality of Mind)

This is part 3 of series of chats with fellow coach Dominic Scaffidi - in this conversation we reveal what we have been pointing to in other episodes: What is it that we are realising about the nature of the human experience and reality that unlocks so much resourcefulness, potential and wellbeing in people?

In this episode we discuss:

  • How innocently and invisibly we usually start in the wrong place
  • What do you think we mean when we say 'you' or 'I'? We reveal a different view...
  • What is this 'real but not true' and illusion all about?
  • How the very nature of reality is misunderstood, and that leads to us to being more of a limitation of potential than we need to be.
  • So what next?
