Not too long ago I was introduced to the idea of creating a financial vision.

I'd heard of vision boards, dream boards and goals and done them all in the past but creating a financial vision was new to me. Creating a financial vision suddenly gave my life and work a lot more meaning.

Before creating my financial vision, I felt like I had things bouncing around in my heart that the Lord wanted me to do but every time I sat down to plan out goals, I couldn't do it.

Once I wrote out my financial vision, suddenly what I was supposed to do became clear and incredibly meaningful! And meaningful, fulfilling work is what keeps us motivated.

Sometimes despite our best efforts, that inward desperation pops its ugly head. The feeling of desperation can haunt us in many areas...

Feeling desperate for a financial change, feeling desperate to figure a way out of a situation in your personal life, sometimes it's as simple as feeling desperate for a change.

Be aware of these attacks from the enemy. Satan wants to get you feeling so desperate for clients/money/your spouse to change/a circumstance to change that you are consumed by it and begin relying on your own strength to fight it. He knows apart from God our strength is weak.

It's in these moments of desperation that we need to develop a "Holy Hunger".

I remember the day I mapped out my first offer. I was over the moon excited and couldn't wait to sell it! ...That didn't last long... 🙍‍♀️

I believe this is a wake up call for believers. A call to action, to rise above the fear and stand on faith.

You choose fear or you choose faith but choosing faith means fighting the fear. Christ is calling us to wake up to the action required of us. To stand on the truth in God’s word no matter what is happening in the world or in our life. No matter how we feel.

Psalm 91:7 says “a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you”

Do you believe this?

Satan is trying to shake things up, looking for those who will submit to this fear but God is saying come closer. You can’t fight fear by watching the news 24/7. You can’t fight fear panicking and nervous that you will contract the virus. The only way to fight fear is by getting closer to God. Turning to His word and reading scriptures of faith, protection and peace out loud.

He is the God of peace. That means in trying times, you can find peace.

I love hearing faith success stories because it can be really easy to dismiss miracles as things of the past or things that don't happen to people like me.

Hebrews 13:8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. This means miracles can and still do happen! And for most of us, achieving our business dreams and desires feels pretty much like a miracle.

The only thing standing in your way is belief. And this is right where Satan wants you. He knows if he can get your belief, you'll never get there.

In order to step into something new, we must step out of something old. To step into who God is calling you to be and where He wants to take you, you must leave where you are now. Ouch! Scary right?!

There are so many worldly pressures that make this really difficult. But In order to prevent the pressures of the world from holding you back from being who you are called to be, you have to first understand them. Once you understand them, you can use the following steps to prevent them from holding you back:

.

Step 1: Stop chasing money/security and chase your vision

.

Step 2: Design your business around your life. This means coming up with your non-negotiable for your life. Deciding on the moments and times of the day when you NEED to be fully present in the moment. Start implementing things that support who you are in your vision and where you’re going… like how many days you work and how many hours a week you work. I work on average about 12-15 hours a week. But working less than 20 hours a week was a non-negotiable for me. I want freedom. I hate feeling restricted, that’s why I work for myself! lol

.

Step 3: Identify your aftermath symptoms and get to work on them one at a time. In my signature program I have them start with their #1 limiting belief keeping them in an income rut. So if you need a place to start that’s a good one.

Step 4: Follow my recipe for success! Wake up every morning and set your intentions on Faith, Discipline and Doing.

Earlier in 2019 the Lord began to speak to me about simplifying my business. I was operating from a place of chaos and overwhelm, feeling like I never had enough time to get everything done, serve my clients, be a mom, be a wife... everything just felt really complicated. “I’m not cheap, I’m just frugal” buuut... are you really Susie? There’s a distinct difference between frugality and a lack mentality. Lack produces stress, fatigue, worry, anxiety, pressure, did I mention stress?... which are the opposite of WHO GOD IS. God is the God of peace and more than enough. Ephesians 3:20 says that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ask or think. Phillipians 4:19 says He will supply all of your needs according to HIS riches and glory.

.

Girlfriend, He has more than enough! But if you focus on lack ... you know the whole "I don't have enough money right now" and the whole " I can't afford that right now" thang... you get more lack. Yea girl, I remember what it's like! IT SUCKS.

Being frugal is awesome, never having enough is not. But when you're in a lack mentality "being frugal" can be a frequent disguise, because I mean really... who wants to admit yea i'm operating from a place of lack! lol It's just not a fun thing to discover but it has a significant effect on your financial future so ya might wanna have a listen :-) ENJOY SUSIE Q!

Someone asked me a thought provoking question the other day that left me with a shocking truth.

“Heather, if there was anything that you could have asked yourself to eliminate some of the obstacles that you had to work through to get to where you are right now, what would it be?”

Wow.

Guys, I sat with this for a long time. And my answer was this question;

“Do you really believe that you can do this?”

I had too many fears and limitations in the core of my being that I put on myself and on God. I had too many doubts. And I did not really believe that I could build a successful, 6+ figure business.

I mean, I would’ve pep talked myself around it. I would have encouraged myself and tried to motivate myself. Honestly, a lot of times my answer to everything was just to work harder.

Like I can do this, I know I can do this, but I just need to work harder.

But behind that hustle mentality lurks fear.

Don’t MANAGE your time, INVEST it!

Hey, you amazing women of God!

You hear a lot about “time management” but what if we shift our mindset and see it as “time investment” instead? Because producing results in the time you have isn’t so much about how you manage your time, but about what you're investing your time in.

How you are investing your time?

What people are you investing your time in?

What tasks are you giving your time to?

Typically when we hear the word invest we think of putting our money into something.

It's usually a big decision.

It's usually a little bit scary.

We may have some resistance come up and we may not necessarily be jumping out of our seats to do it.

An investment is value because we view our money as valuable.

We can always make more money, but our time is finite. When you begin to view your time for what it is, so valuable that you carefully consider where you put it (ie: where you invest) then your concept of time begins to shift.

We start to understand how valuable we are. And all of a sudden you become more valuable in your own eyes.

Where we put our time predicts the results that we get. So in the podcast today we’ll walk through four non-negotiables for your calendar to help you invest your time wisely.

Every year can get better, or it can get worse. Just because we hope that it gets better, or just because we wish that our business will grow, or just because we want our business to grow to new levels, that doesn’t mean that it will.

For most of us, in order to up-level our business, and to reach the level of impact and influence that God is calling us to, we have to break through some tough mental and spiritual barriers that hold us back.

The fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs that are keeping us stuck.

Looking at the Bible we find that Scripture actually shows us how we break through the negative seeds that we have planted inside us.

There are three steps to getting rid of our negative seeds (our limiting beliefs) and replacing them with “good” seeds.

But this is a choice that you have to make; you have to decide to remove the unfruitful seeds in your life. Girl, those seeds are what’s stopping your success!

Maybe it's a seed of doubt or self worth, or confidence or abilities. Maybe it's a seed that you can't name right now, but it's affecting your motivation, your habits, or your perseverance. But we have to identify and dig it up.

In today’s podcast I’m talking about the three steps you need to take in order to dump those doubts!

Your behaviors (your habits, your perseverance, your willpower, your self discipline) follow your mindset. Then we have these days where we just don’t want to do anything! And we can spend weeks trying to motivate ourselves to do what we know we need to do but we just can't seem to actually do it.

That happens when you try to fight against your mind. And that’s a tough battle to win

Hello, you amazing women of God!

In this podcast we’re diving into Joshua 1:1-9. These verses are so important to us, especially as business owners, and especially from a business perspective.

So many of us think that we need to do everything on our own in our business in order to get where we need to go. Then once we get there, and we're financially security, then we can invest in support, right?

But we learn something really interesting about Moses and his calling. If Moses hadn’t listened to the Lord he couldn’t have fulfilled his calling.

If Moses had thought like a lot of us think (myself included) and believed he needed to do it all on his own without support, then Joshua would not have been able to fulfill the calling that God had for him. Joshua needed Moses.

Not only do the people that you're serving need you, but in order for them to get what they need from you, you probably need something from somebody else.

We are here to serve and have the impact that God has called us to have and make the influence on people's lives that He has called us to make. Business growth and reaching that next level in your business is about understanding that we cannot get there alone.

And God knows that this is a scary thing to do - so scary that He repeats Himself THREE TIMES in this passage. Be Strong and of Good Courage

But we have nothing to fear, as long as you are spending time in His Word, you're getting His word in your heart and you're speaking His truth. You're not speaking lies from the enemy. You're not speaking the limiting beliefs or the fears.

You're speaking His truth and only His truth.

There is something that millionaires, billionaires, and successful high achievers all have in common (and it’s something that you can develop, too).

That one thing is problem solving.

If you want to be a successful high achiever or have a five figure business you absolutely have to become a problem solver. Nobody “likes” problems, but life deals them out anyway so we need to be able to get past the bumps in the road.

Problem solving is such an important part of success that I dedicated this podcast episode to how you can become a solution-focused woman of God.

We need to make problem solving a natural part of our process instead of just seeing the problem.

But this comes with time, and with practice. It doesn’t happen overnight but we can develop the skills.

We’ll never be “problem-free”, and that’s ok! We need challenges because without them, we cannot grow into the person that God is calling us to be. Without them we cannot overcome. We have to step into the identity that Christ has given us.

It could be easy to get overwhelmed by all the incredible life coaches, sales coaches, and networking experts around me.

But instead of comparing myself to all these AMAZING women, I remember a truth.

I‘m reminded of God's abundance.

So instead of looking around and feeling inadequate, questioning myself, and thinking things like, “She's doing the exact same thing as me and making so much money, can I really do this?”, I can look around and see God's goodness, and see God's grace, and how He pours out from the abundance of His heart into us, to make us rich. In multiple ways but also financially.

We don’t need to ever question if there’s enough for us to be successful.

I’m just in awe of God's graciousness to equip each one of us with some kind of entrepreneurial calling that glorifies and brings honor to Him!

Why would He not want us to be successful?

In this podcast I explain that by seeing God’s true nature you can stop comparing yourself to others, stop playing small, and let the Lord do the work in you that He started.

There are so many women, who are making all different levels of income. And truthfully, there's more than enough room for all of us to be financially successful!

As an enneagram #3 (The Achiever) and half lion/half otter (if you know Gary Smalley’s Personality Test) it's really easy for me to overlook rest and be a bit of a workaholic.

If you’ve followed my story at all you know I’m pretty anti-hustle so I deliberately incorporate breaks into my biz. But after attending a conference I realized my little definition of “breaks to create balance” is not what rest and renewal is all about.

At all.

In your core, in your gut, you desire to be a high achiever and you’re capable of being a high achiever.

The Lord has called you to greater things. He set you apart. But in order to do that, we have to step away from being a low achiever because low achievers are mediocre. They fall into the crowd, they blend in, and they're totally fine being comfortable settling.

You are a wonderful woman of God, and I know that you have far greater desires. And I know in the core of who you are, you are a successful high achiever, but…in order to step into that, you need to understand that you are already a successful high achiever.

You are capable of being a successful high achiever.
You are capable of reaching every single goal in your business.
You are capable of building the business that the Lord has put in your heart, the business that God desires for you to reach and greater levels of success.
You are capable of things that you can't even imagine right now because it’s from the Lord.

God has already equipped you.

You’re going to learn more; as long as you are coachable and you are willing to learn. I want you to know that you can choose to be a low achiever or you can choose to be a high achiever.

We hear so much about affirmations but for the longest time I really thought it was a bunch of just fluff. Seriously.

But in today’s podcast I want to share my thoughts about affirmations so that you can make your own decision on whether they might have a positive impact on your business.

Have you ever felt “ill-equipped” to run your business?

There are a lot of times that we get in our own way and we start to doubt our abilities. We doubt that we’re capable of the things we want to achieve.

But we’re not alone. When the Lord spoke to Jeremiah, he was completely overwhelmed with all the reasons why he couldn’t do what God had called him to do.

“Oh Lord God, behold I cannot speak for I am a youth”.

Does that sound familiar?

How about:

I’m too young

Too old

Too broke

Not smart enough

Not… (fill in the blank with your own excuse)

God had an incredible plan for Jeremiah’s life, and He has a plan for your life. You've been called to be an entrepreneur and to have a business. But sometimes we just stop believing in ourselves.

How often do we hold ourselves back because we’re worried about what other people think? But we have to take the first step because we’re not going to achieve our next level of success until we do.

And this is exactly what the Lord says to Jeremiah.

On today’s podcast episode we’re diving into Old Testament Jeremiah to see that the Lord wants us to deal with OUR fears & excuses in the exact same way as His prophet did!

It doesn't matter if you feel ill equipped for the calling, it doesn't matter if you feel ill-equipped to reach your next level of success. It doesn't even matter if it looks like all the odds are stacked against you, God is with you.

I pray this episode will inspire you to set aside your fears and your excuses, take them to the Lord, and allow Him to finish the great work He has started in you!
