Campus Ministry at Corpus Christi and St. Mark College
This podcast project came out as Campus Ministry's response to the current Covid19 pandemic. It highlights student and staff testimonies, including personal stories from speakers of the cancelled event, My Story Series.
As Vancouver is often referred to as Hollywood North, Sean interviews Corpus Christi's very own Agam Gill. Agam is a 2nd year student pursuing International Relations but on the side, she's been involved in both theatre and film acting. They talk about how Agam got into acting and how acting ultimately affects her day-to-day life.

Sean and Anne (a Social Work student) continues their discussion regarding what it takes to be a social worker, being involved with the community, and systemic racial issues that immigrants and refugees face in Canada.

Sean interviews Anne, a student pursuing social work after acquiring a degree in Health Sciences and being in the work field for two years. She shares her decision to go back to school and her found passion to advocate for immigrants and diversity within her field.

They talked about Irene’s love story with Garitt, the sisters' passion of planning, and how love and the Sacrament of Marriage trumped the pandemic and any adversities that came their way.

As public Masses closed due to the Pandemic, us Catholics are urged to experience the Liturgy and the Sacraments spiritually, in our homes. Sam reflects on his long and fruitful journey to be Catholic. He talks about his fascination with Pope Francis, his Christian Evangelical roots, and entering the fullness of the Catholic Church.
If you're not too familiar with Christianity, here are our footnotes to give a bit more context to Sam's story:
Christian Denominations - There are distinct religious bodies within Christianity which may differ in doctrines, leadership, or structure. The one common thing is that all Christians are followers of Christ and His teachings.
Archdiocesan Staff - someone who works in the organization that oversees all the Catholic churches in Vancouver
Conclave - is the assembly of Cardinals (high ranking priests) for the election of a new Pope
Council of Nicaea - 325AD, priests gathered in the city of Nicaea to duke it out and make sure there’s a consensus in Christian theology. There would be more councils like this in the Catholic Church, even today.
Icons of Christ Pantokrator and Our Lady of Fatima - these are religious works of art that help Christians pray. There are lots of different icons but I have these are the ones I had in my room.
Sacrament - these are rites in the Catholic Church that not only signify but also channels God’s graces for all who receive them with proper disposition. In the podcast I mention Baptism, Confirmation, Communion and Confession -- those are four of seven Sacraments.
Triduum / Easter Vigil - It’s four days of the year when Catholics reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus through different rites and observances. A lot of adults entering the Catholic faith receive Sacraments during Easter Vigil.
The Body of Christ - As Catholics, we believe in the Presence of Jesus as the bread and wine that we receive in the Sacrament of Communion (Holy Eucharist).
