The Way
Before we met our lives were set And never did we speak About the filters of the past Or possibility
How long were we living that way? Afraid to feel afraid Futures filled with former days
Sometimes late at night I swear I feel the world spinning We're holding on so tight No one is really winning
I still stand for a new day That's how we'll find "the way"
I take my coffee black as the day is long And you never care for cream We swear by anti-American pie bye bye Miss American dream
How long Can we live in this state? I'm afraid it will fade away And a future from the past will take
Sometimes I lose myself And I need you to find me Pull me out of the meaning Give me a little reminding
So I can stand for a new day That's how we'll find "the way"
La la la la la la la
How long Will we play in this game? Afraid to lose it all More so just to stake a claim
Sometime I need myself And I'll want you to leave me January, free me Before I fall into the ceiling
I can stand for a new day That's how we'll find "the way"
When your falling apart I'll pick up the pieces Of your broken heart
When you're losing sight I'll come with a light We'll find our way together
And stand for a new day That's how we'll find "the way"
