I’m your host Krista Xiomara and this podcast was created as an audio community for anyone who is on the "Path." Every Sunday I sit down to speak with inspiring guests to share their journey through awakening, spiritual enlightenment and personal development. My hope is that this podcast helps you along your own journey. Follow this podcast on Instagram @ianwpodcast
Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for all the listeners and global following this podcast has created over of the last seven and half years it’s been on the air.
It is with a full heart and open mind that I bid farewell to my baby—I’m Awake! Now What? Podcast. It started as a place for me to build community and resonance with like-minded seekers and aspirants who were looking for answers to the deep questions. And rebels on their way to chart a new path and new Earth.
My intention was to create a community for people who had left their religion of origin, identified as spiritual or non-religious but whose shared goal was to become better human beings and create a better world, through self-exploration, personal development, and healing.
Our world view and experience of the divine has been shifting and changing over the last 50 or more decades. We no longer require or want a mediator to connect to God anymore. Many of us are returning to earth-based practices and intuitive self-knowing to cultivate our relationship and connection to God, Source, The Divine. This podcast has been a place where people could come and explore their own divinity and connection to divine, without structure, dogma, judgment, or instruction.

It started as an intimate dinner with a few community members curious and invested in understanding each other empathetically. Their mission: To create healing, connection, conversation and change between these diverse groups. Dr. Gena Minnix and I discuss the etymology of the word "homosexual" and how its origin and intention could have been mistakely applied in modern Christian culture, and most likely was meant to protect young boys. Gena walks us through the reconciliation process that happens when one’s religious views come into conflict with their life experience. She explains how empathy needs to flow to the places of greatest vulnerability, especially during conversations around gender, sexuality and faith.

Hello Sweet Souls and welcome back to Week 6 of the podcast Summer Series with your host Krista Xiomara, who has created a free 8-Week learning course called "Releasing Religion, Inner Healing, and Coming Home to Yourself." Week 6 is about Finding Your Truth. When we are birthed into our religion of origin we are not given the opportunity or space to connect with ourselves and decipher what is true about us and the world around us. Often times, we are told that we are born inherently flawed through original sin. We are taught from an early age what to think, what to feel, what to believe, how to act, what to fear, and what to love. Finding your Truth, is an unbecoming and unraveling of yourself to uncover the truth about yourself so that you can connect more deeply with yourself and your connection to all that there is.
This week my focus is to help you:

Welcome back sweet souls to Week 3 of the Summer Series: "Releasing Religion, Inner Healing, and Coming Home to Yourself." Week 3 is centered around Embracing Uncertainty. Growing up in a strict Catholic home and community; my religious experience indoctrinated within me a strong sense of certainty, about everything.
