Lena, a strength coach and yoga teacher from Stockholm Sweden, joins the Grow Into You Podcast and we talk about experiencing burnout, the inner critic, and our yoga teacher training.
I met Lena in Costa Rica when we completed our 200 HR YTT. I connected to her right away and could not have asked for someone better to go through that experience with.
Lena shares how she found her way to yoga from the cusp of burnout, what she has learned from yoga and her inner work journey. I loved how we were able to talk about our inner work during this episode. How it’s something that can’t be rushed and how we still meet our inner critic and perfectionism. I think this will be a very relatable discussion to find relief that you are not moving through things alone and there tools that can help. In the end, we even share a funny story of our first experience of breathwork that occurred during our YTT.
Lena’s Closing Tips:
The importance of routine. During a stressful time, go back to the basics, have I ate today, have I moved today, prioritize your own health
Practice yoga and/or meditation: some kind of work where you allow yourself to feel your emotions and be able to observe your thoughts
Sharing. Share your thought out load and allow yourself to cry on someone’s shoulder before it’s too much. Find someone you trust, who can hold you. Sharing allows you to understand how you feel when you talk about it

This episode is so much more than speaking upon a dream relationship. It’s about Aly’s journey, her inner work, and all the things that enabled her to fall in love with herself first, which allowed her to meet the partner she manifested.
Aly is an occupational therapist and yoga teacher who empowers women to see themselves as their own muse. guiding others to fall in love with themselves.
She shares stories from herself, from her guru, and we dive into so much goodness throughout. We talk about losing yourself in relationships, the inner work to find yourself, manifesting relationships, and the fear that comes along with new love.
We also share about discovering who you are, social media in connection to self, how to tell when you're losing yourself, Aly meeting her guru, seeing wounds as blessings, and about soulmates.
Key Takeaways:
Whatever love and love and validation you are wanting to relieve from anyone be it a love, a mentor, a friend, give that exact love to yourself first and give permission to give that love.
Be unapologetically you. Even if it pisses off others, if some people don’t like you, people think you’re weird. Be unapologetically you because you will find your tribe, your person, people who will love you for exactly who you are.
Always always be kind, to yourself, to the people around you, to your past self, to anyone because this world always needs more kindness.

Some of my most transformative, magical, and beautiful experiences have happened during yoga retreats with strangers that became soul friends.
Group programs hold such power that I have a hard time putting to words. It’s such a beautiful experience that I believe everyone should have. I share some stories from a women’s healing immersion that I had the absolute privilege to experience.
I also introduce my new program Bloom - a4-week program to gain self-confidence, connection, and love for yourself and your body. I got goosebumps talking about this program because I know how much magic and transformation is waiting for you. I am so excited to hold space for you and cannot wait to meet you.

Josephine started traveling at the age of 19 through Central and South America by herself without taking any flight only buses, boats, and even her own bare feet to explore and experience. She inspired me the moment we met with her care for Mother Earth and complete acceptance of others.
She holds so much wisdom and shares from her soul some of her most memorable experiences traveling, biggest perspective shifts, and tips for living authentic lives. She opens my mind to the possibilities that exist in this world and the magic that is held in each present moment. Being completely okay with ourselves is how we return home and is a big takeaway from what she has learned traveling.
I hope this episode inspires you to know the traditional path is not the only path. Inside of you lies so much wisdom, trust yourself, and allow your intuition to guide you to a fulfilled nurturing life.
Takeaways:
So many but here are a few:
Radical listening. Find someone that inspires you, read their autobiography and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Dive deep into the existence of our beings.
Have the passion and courage to feel and love. Feelings are there to be felt, all emotions.
If a big emotion comes, acknowledge it, set a timer, sit with it, and then say you are seen and know free to go
Imagination, don’t let it sleep. Create with your hands, connect to our roots and Mother Earth.
Don’t let others tell you what you can and cannot do.
Feel your body, move your physical vessel.
Feed your soul.

I used to dread my period and cursed myself for being a womxn. Now, I love my period and see my cycle as sacred. I see how my body goes through the four seasons just as mother earth does throughout each cycle. Men’s hormones regulate in 24 hours, while womxn’s regulate on average every 28 days. Each phase womxn move through is so needed and a superwomxn can be found in each. It’s learning to connect with our bodies and embrace our cycles.
I don’t think womxn are taught enough about their cycle or allowed to talk about it nearly enough. That’s why I love this topic getting to spread education, debunk myths, and enable acceptance for our periods.
I talk about what the cycles (seasons) are, how I track my period, birth control, herbs to help period symptoms, and my journey with my period in this episode. I hope it is healing and helpful. I love you all.

’m very grateful to be able to share this episode with you all. I’m joined by my beautiful sister and best friend Katie Manning. Katie allows us to be with her in her vulnerability as she shares her journey. She is an entrepreneur who founded a social purpose company to help provide legal and emotional resources to sexual assault and abuse survivors. She inspires me and is always the one I can go to for advice.
Katie shares what high school was like for her and the bullying she faced. We talk about our relationship and what it was like being compared to one another, boundaries, and how confrontations can be positive. We share how we found belonging through traveling; how it enabled us to open our eyes and know there was so much goodness in this life. She shares about finding true sense of belonging through her first job and so much more. Katie was able to take such painful experiences and find her own self-worth. I hope this conversation can bring healing to anyone who can relate to Katie’s journey.
Takeaways:
If you feel alone or lost, it is temporary and there are better things ahead. I truly believe the universe has your back and there are better days ahead. Everything is temporary and you can get through anything
You are so much stronger than you think you are.
Don't listen to what anyone tells you in a broad sense. Focus on yourself and what makes you happy. You are the only person that is going to decide things for you and the only person that will continue to write your story and decide how that’s going to go.

This is a very special episode near and dear to my heart. Juliana Mills, a Registered Dietician and also my best friend, shares her personal experience with eating disorders, how and why she became a dietician, and how to find trustful nutrition information.
Juliana helped me transform my relationship with food. We met while studying abroad in Italy and she was one of the first people I told about my eating disorder. She shares so many tips and wonderful advice during this podcast like how food affects our moods and advice on recovering from an eating disorder.
I feel this episode is so needed as too many of us can relate to disordered eating, obsessively counting calories, and wanting to be thinner. You are allowed to love food. It can be more than a means to survive, you can enjoy nourishing your body.
Key Takeaways:
If you are moving through an eating disorder, talk to someone. Find someone that inspires you that you can relate to and read about their journey. Remember it is a mindset shift, know you aren’t alone.
When trying to improve your nutrition, eat whole (real not processed) foods. Try new foods whenever you can, introduce things into your diet. Spices are herbs are amazing don’t be scared to use them. No one has ever said too many fruits and vegetables are a bad thing.
Be yourself, do what you like to do and you will attract people that like to do what you like to do.
