Our mission is to lead people into a growing faith in Jesus Christ... to be a gathering where God's presence is experienced in love and power. We trust your faith in Christ will grow as a result of these messages.
s presence as we are. Drawing from the contemplative Christian tradition, this message invites us into silence, stillness, and trust, where love meets us without requiring effort or answers.
that faith leads to clarity, certainty, and progress. But real life tells a different story. Real faith often begins where clarity ends.
but who we become on the other side is a choice we make inside the storm. Faith is not merely surviving hardship; it is being intentionally formed through it.
where kindness becomes a daily practice, a quiet rebellion against cruelty, and a reflection of Jesus Himself.
Our mission is to lead people into a growing faith in Jesus Christ... to be a gathering where God's presence is experienced in love and power. We trust your faith in Christ will grow as a result of these messages.
From Rules to Relationship series, exploring what it means to live from a renewed mind and a restored identity.
but the challenge for us is learning how to hear Him clearly. Scripture tells us this begins with a renewed mind!
Silence is sometimes all we have left when words fail. But silence can also be the place where God begins to speak. When tragedy strikes, the world shouts. Politicians argue, news outlets debate, and people scramble to assign blame. But followers of Jesus are called to something different.
Confronting the raw question many of us avoid: "Do I really love God?" It's not a question of doctrine or duty, but of relationship. And sometimes the honest answer is, "I don't know."
it is the enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26) Scripture does not teach that God needs evil to teach us.
What if God speaks not only through prophets and preachers, but through a rabbit on your porch?
Wouldn’t it be great if we had a time machine—a DeLorean to take us back and fix everything? But the truth is, healing doesn’t come from going back. It comes from surrendering what’s behind and stepping fully into the new.
In a world of constant demands and expectations, learning to say “yes” and “no” is essential. This week, we’ll explore how boundaries shape our lives, relationships, and spiritual growth—and how setting them helps us begin again.
Sometimes the biggest enemy of our tomorrow is something we’re doing today — and it needs to end for us to get there.
No matter what happens in life, you can begin again. God understands your circumstances and He cares!
As God's grace unfolds in our lives and we renew our minds, we become aware that instead of me bringing Christ into my life, my life has always been IN HIM . . . I've never NOT belonged to Him!
When pain enters the picture, Jesus doesn't explain it—He transforms it.Most people, religious or not, presume a direct link between sin and suffering. Jesus confronts and obliterates this lie through a perfect demonstration of love and healing
Is it possible that Christ’s ministry and the stories (parables) he told serve more to correct our notion of who God is and how God loves us than they do to teach us expected (or approved) behavior?
The religious mind often changes the Good News from a story of God's unconditional, loving acceptance into a loveless deposition of a legal case, requiring proper acknowledgment of guilt, accompanying shame, appropriate, verifiable repentance, and then a trial period for behavior modification.
What if your life isn't stuck… what if you're standing at the edge of something brand new? One More Day!!
So, what are you fearful about? Something that will happen or you think will happen, isn't it? Fear is always about something which does not exist right now, it's always about what will happen. So, you are suffering that which does not exist.
Life is filled with twists and turns, with moments of despair and uncertainty. But in the midst of these challenges, God is continually at work!
What if instead of responding to fear as something to be eliminated andconquered we asked ourselves, what is behind this STORY? What if your fear was really an act of the imagination which is actually a gateway into a life of abandonment to God's dreams.
The Gospel in Chairs . . . a presentation of the ancient, patristic, Biblical gospel which brings healing and restoration.
What if the cross wasn’t an object—an action of punishment . . . rather, what if it is a place—an action of Gods self-emptying love? The crucifixion is what we did to him—we took his life. The Cross is what Christ did for us—he gave his life.
This shift—from seeing God as a punisher to seeing God as the Great Physician who heals—changes everything. It moves us from fear to love, from guilt to transformation.
Why do many religious systems and organizations teach obedience as the way to salvation? Salvation isn't LEGAL or TRANSACTIONAL!
Jesus' death was not to appease an angry God but to reveal the heart of a God who loves unconditionally. The cross is the moment where God's love triumphs over human violence and sin, highlighting the nonviolent nature of God. God is NOT complicit in violence.
Neither faith nor repentance persuades God to forgive, rather, they are the natural responses to the revelation of what God has already done.
In this series, we explore the transformative power of metanoia—a Greek term often translated as "repentance" but more accurately understood as a profound change of mind, heart, and purpose. True transformation begins when we let go of the molds imposed by fear, legalism, and tradition, allowing God to reshape us in love, grace, and freedom. Metanoia is a divine breaking—breaking away from what binds us to experience the fullness of life in Christ.
The incarnation is a radical, world-altering revelation of God’s humility and love, calling believers and non-believers to see, worship, and live differently in response.
Doubt doesn’t disqualify faith; it can deepen trust." Trust isn’t about certainty; it’s about surrender. Failures are not the opposite of faith but opportunities to trust God in unexpected ways.
Life’s challenges are not only unavoidable but necessary for growth. The twists and turns of life aren’t obstacles but opportunities, essential for discovering your deeper purpose. Trusting the process requires humility, patience, and faith that God is working even when life feels uncertain.
Curiosity and uncertainty aren’t roadblocks on your spiritual journey—they are the sacred detours that shape it.
Healing and freedom flow when you realize God isn't mad at you. The transforming message of God's grace.
Oprah Winfrey - “The single greatest thing you can do to change your life today would be to start being grateful for what you have right now.”
Exploring a profound challenge to our instincts for self-preservation, self-defense, and the pursuit of personal honor.
In the wake of pain and loss, moving forward can feel overwhelming and uncertain. We'll explore the journey of healing and resilience, offering insights on how to navigate through grief and find hope and meaning through small actions that lead to inner renewal and peace. Whether you’re walking this road or supporting someone who is, this message will encourage you to embrace the future with courage and trust.
At its heart, the Eucharist—the communion table—is God’s invitation for us to join in a divine family meal, to sit down with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in a communion that’s both familiar and deeply mysterious.
Sins are not atoned or PAID for, they are forgiven. The blood of Christ doesn't change God's mind it changes ours. Rodeen Williams: "We do not invoke his presence, He captures our awareness"
The table is a place to encounter the living Christ, who is present and active, not merely remembered. The Eucharist and Scripture work together to reveal Christ… Scripture and the breaking of bread both play a role in opening eyes.
Sacraments are more than symbols; they are acts in which God is present and active. A sacrament is more than a symbolic ritual; it is God acting through the sign to accomplish what it signifies. In sacramental Christianity, we believe that God is not only present in these moments, but He is working to do what these symbols represent.
We want to explore the idea of sacraments—what they are, how they work, and what they reveal about the presence of God in our lives. Sacraments are more than symbols; they are acts in which God is present and active. As we explore baptism, communion, and the broader sacramental reality, we will see how these practices invite us into a deeper encounter with God.
Throughout this series we've emphasized the distinction between true faith and the dangers of magical thinking, particularly in the context of prayer. True faith is relational—focused on deepening communion with God, rather than seeking control over circumstances.
Magical thinking in prayer seeks to control outcomes, focusing on manipulation rather than submission. Intercession isn't convincing God, it's freeing ourselves to participate in God's providence and trust that He will do what's loving and redemptive.
True prayer is a deep surrender to God, beyond the expectation of outcomes. It is not about controlling events but allowing God to be God in us.
2 Cor 5:16 "Therefore, from now on, I no longer know anyone according to the flesh. I no longer see people from a human point of view. This is a radical and most defining moment. No label that could possibly previously identify someone carries any further significance.
"The ultimate touchstone of friendship is not improvement, neither of the other nor of the self, the ultimate touchstone is witness. The privilege of being seen by someone, and the equal privilege of being granted the sight of the essence of another." (David White)
Join us as we challenge a flawed perspective on humanity, God, and our fallen world! . . . this Sunday @10:30a: "You Do Not Have a Sin Nature!"
Each person is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to get to the bottom of. 1. Diminisher - individuals who either make others feel small and unseen. 2. illuminator - someone who shines a light on them, making them feel valued and respected.
This Sunday, we're exploring a profound journey that many of us can relate to: moving from despair to hope. In these challenging times, it's essential to understand how we can transition from moments of darkness to a place of light and optimism. Our talk is titled "From Despair to Hope: A New Path," and we will delve into three primary points: recognizing despair, discovering hope, and walking the new path.
Discover the peace that comes from trusting in God's provision as we explore Jesus' teachings on anxiety from Matthew 6. Learn how to let go of worry, knowing that trouble has an expiration date and God's care is everlasting.
It's not about "replacing" our thoughts, as is commonly taught, but rather about starting from a different perspective. It's more about discovery and uncovering than any effort to replace them!
Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength. In this talk Jeff will explain the primary way worry gains it's leverage and three principles Jesus gives us to defeat it.
Often at the expense of your feelings and reasoning comes crashing in a common cliche, “just trust the Lord with all your heart.” Is this right? Is this what God requires?
The most important question we can ever ask is, who is God" (Malcolm Smith) This message from Pastor Korsen will open the eyes of willing hearts to see God as the endlessly good and loving Father that has ALWAYS been!
Do you believe God has a word for His people, and specifically for the LGBTQIA+ community?
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," 17 then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." (the Apostle Paul)
“The very taste of forgiveness seems somehow wrong. Even when we have committed a wrong, we want to earn our way back into the injured party’s good graces. We prefer to crawl on our knees, to wallow, to do penance, to kill a lamb—and religion often obliges us.” (P. Yancy)
Christianity is not a doctrine or collection of doctrines to follow but a Person to follow. A relationship to that Person we’re following.
Our mission is to lead people into a growing faith in Jesus Christ... to be a gathering where God's presence is experienced in love and power. We trust your faith in Christ will grow as a result of these messages.
The Bible doesn’t give us a blanket of certainty, instead it gives us a quilt, a patchwork of life stories and God moment where we learn life is a journey, and God is by our side, helping us navigate the difficulties. God Desires Our Trust More Than Our "Correct" Beliefs”!
In this enlightening talk, we explore the concept of "transactional faith"—the belief that specific actions on our part can compel God to respond in predictable, controlled ways. Through an examination of scriptural insights and theological principles, we will delve into the dangers and misconceptions of approaching our relationship with God as a series of transactions, rather than as a deep, enduring partnership.
Have you ever felt out of place? Whether it's within communities, religious groups, or various belief systems, do you find yourself feeling like an outsider? This persistent feeling of rejection and self-loathing can only be transformed when we change our perception of our relationship with God. Today, we will challenge the false belief that God disapproves of us, and explore how understanding His true nature can lead to healing and acceptance.
The Lie of Determinism - Does God predetermine all things, present, past, future? NO! NO! NO! God is love. Everything God does, everything God wills, everything God purposes emanates from his character of love. "Evil has no meaning; it is parasitic on the good, and has no direct function in God’s economy." (John Crowder)
Misunderstandings about the concept of "New Birth" (or receiving Jesus into your heart) have created considerable confusion through the years. The idea of the New Birth most often requires a transaction... if I DO THIS, God will RESPOND by doing (giving) THAT! Salvation isn't about receiving Jesus into your heart… its about how God has already received you into his!
It is not about you inviting Jesus into your life; it is about Jesus already including you in his." (Baxter Kruger). Deeply Trusting Jesus in Prayer expresses itself in; a) total surrender and b) outward acts of love and service.
In its mature forms, prayer is how we exchange ideas and possible next actions, that we express our love, that we learn from each other, that we bargain, that we co-plan, co-work and co-create.
Prayer isn’t just about asking God for things. There are a variety of ways to pray, with each kind being an activity of our relationship with God.
Prayer is not an activity detached from the essence of living; it is the very expression of our existence. Authentic prayer transcends our frequent, powerless requests. It moves beyond mere petitions and dialogues, surpassing even language itself.
Does your behavior impact whether or not God hears your prayers?Matt 5:45 (CEV) "Then you will be acting like your Father in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both good and bad people. And he sends rain for the ones who do right and for the ones who do wrong."
If everything is already predetermined and settled in its outcome by God, why did Jesus pray? Prayer changes things... things change me. God leaves things open to me partnering with him to see heaven brought to earth.
Whose In... Whose Out? Is there a boundary marker for salvation? Is it personal belief? Is it believing the right thing? What if sin is more about lost identity than breaking laws?
In the storms of your life, do you have the courage to trust that God’s promise is enough? As you learn more about who Jesus is, and who you are in Christ, you will discover a renewed faith bringing you closer to him and the person he created you to be.
II Corinthians 5:17 Now, in the light of your co-inclusion in his death and resurrection, whoever you thought you were before, in Christ you are a brand new person." St. Athanasius, "He became human that we might become like God"
"Likeness" with God isn't something we strive for, neither is it the result of something we must do. "He became human that we might become like God" St. Athanasius This fresh look at atonement could change everything in your walk with Jesus.
Did Jesus categorize people? Did He teach that there are "good fish and bad fish", to be separated at the "end"... the bad fish being thrown into hell. Or, as Titus states, is Jesus "the grace of God thats appeared for the salvation of all men."
“… Whoever you thought you were before, in Christ you are a brand new person. The old ways of seeing yourself and everyone else are over. Acquaint yourself with the new.” 2 Cor5:17 "Faith is not a decision; it is a discovery" - F. DeToit
Seasons of change can often be made more difficult by sense or fear that God has withdrawn his favor or presence. Even getting out of bed and putting one foot in front of the other is WORSHIP!
Many today separate God from Christ, suggesting a God behind the God. In truth, God is not hidden but is revealed, particularly in the person of Jesus. This is why there is no predestination or predetermination. God is HERE NOW! . . . Emmanuel!
In our final segment we examine the fundamental aspects of salvation, including who is saved and it's emphasizes in current life. We'll also reexamine initial assumptions about salvation and common notions of heaven, questioning the validity of a disembodied, otherworldly heaven as depicted in the Bible.
This study challenges the common notion that creation is inherently corrupted and emphasizes that salvation is not about escaping the physical world but rather redeeming it. It highlights that salvation is primarily God's plan to rescue and restore, not penalize and remove to heaven those who are worthy.
Sunday's teaching explores the Bible's salvation narrative from Genesis to Jesus, highlighting the purpose of creation and our divine vocation, Israel's role as a model for salvation, and how Jesus embodies and extends Old Testament themes into the life of the church.
Thinking Through Salvation puts the admittedly giant concept of salvation within its larger biblical framework. While salvation includes questions about what happens after death, “going to heaven” is not the primary focus of the story told throughout the Bible.
No where in scripture are we invited to view the Bible as uniform or regard every word as plainly factual.
Feeling fear is natural, allowing it to dictate our decisions, actions, and ultimately our future is not. "Hello, peace. Hello, joy. Hello, love..." God is bigger than ANY fear you're facing!
The noise and conflict of tasks, voices demanding attention, commitments and deadlines… In the middle of all this, there exists a gentle and profound force that can transform our very existence – Gratitude!
You may be feeling a decrease in progress, but rest assured, there is a greater meaning and a divine blueprint for your path.
It isn't my intention today to cast shade on particular prayer or worship practices which are beloved. I want to offer a different view which may challenge accepted "norms." My hope is that you will find yourself drawn into a deeper intimacy with Father God and a greater freedom in the grace of the Exchanged Life!
When you encounter a moral guideline in the New Testament, refrain from transforming it into a strict commandment to follow. Instead, start affirming it as an expression and manifestation of the fruit and character within your already redeemed life and your relationship with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Everything flows out of God's sweet presence. I don’t need to sustain it, make it happen, or try to bring it about. It isn’t my power working in me, but HIS, to bring about the Father's will.
“We think of the Christian life as a ‘changed life’ but it is NOT that. What God offers us is an ‘exchanged life...” ~Watchman Nee Paradox . . . God's grace becomes most evident and potent when we recognize our own weaknesses.
Many of us spend our lives either 1) looking forward to future moments with God, or 2) reflecting on past encounters, instead of truly connecting with God in the present. I want you to discover God in the "here and now."
Throughout scriptures we read of God doing some really awesome stuff. From the parting of the Red Sea to the miracles Jesus performed, we are constantly reminded of God’s power and love. “For I am about to do something NEW. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” - Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)
I don't pray, worship, obey, go to church, volunteer, etc... in order to GET God's presence or blessing. What if I must do nothing to persuade God? What if God’s presence and blessing can’t be negotiated, but only encountered because He loves me!
You Are Not Being Judged. You cannot be condemned. You ARE NOT on Trial! Stop believing the lie!
What does the Bible entail, and is it possible for an individual to experience a relationship with Jesus independently of it? New Testament believers did not embrace the concept of modern, western biblical inerrancy either, because they were taught that the purpose of scripture was to point them to a perfect Jesus, not a perfect manuscript.
You Don't Receive Jesus into Your Heart... He's Received You into HIS! Because many individuals have either left their faith in God or have intentionally shunned a relationship with Jesus because of the legalistic, condemning, evangelical interpretation of who God accepts and loves.
What if early Jesus followers didn't preach escaping hell and making heaven! What if God destroying all sinful people and the world in the end by fire and wrath is myth!? Would this make a difference in how you live and enjoy other people and your own life NOW? Don't miss Pt3 of this new Series (7 Things), Escaping Wrath... just not God's!
Many things people believe about God and their identity are lies. We believe these lies because we were told the Bible says it . . . and it doesn't. In Part II of our series we'll address the question, was the Cross a place of punishment required by God's wrath, so people could be forgiven go to Heaven?
Many things people believe about God and their identity are lies. We believe these lies because we were told the Bible says it . . . and it doesn't. This series is dedicated to exposing harmful, destructive beliefs so people can truly enter vibrant relationship with the God who loves them more than his OWN life!
Doubt is the enemy of faith only when you equate faith with certainty! Lets examine what James really said, "ask in faith nothing doubting." Sunday at 10:30a
Faith isn’t a cosmic download of information and “correct” beliefs we can be certain about!
If you are AFRAID of God, ANGRY at God, INDIFFERENT towards God, DISMISSIVE of God, DONE with God! . . . you're right where you need to be. Jesus invites you to REST from it all. From the loneliness, the pain, the hiding, all the effort -- and just REST!
Paul Young - "The alternative to magic is relationship, which is full of mystery and the loss of control. Magic is about knowing the right incantations, formulas, and performances. Relationship is about trust."
A god who is distant, one who must be sought, found, received, or held onto, is NOT the loving God of scripture or His son, Jesus. Such a god is the NOISE of religion--a distraction from the image (likeness) of God you already are. We must address this distraction... we can quiet the noise!
Phil 4:6 Mirror "Let no anxiety about anything distract you. Rather translate moments into prayerful worship, and soak your requests in gratitude before God."
As God's grace unfolds in our lives and we renew our minds, we become aware that instead of me bringing Christ into my life, my life has always been IN HIM . . . I've never NOT belonged to Him!
Most people, religious or not, presume a direct link between sin and suffering. Jesus confronts and obliterates this lie through a perfect demonstration of love and healing… The scandal of suffering.
The religious mind often changes the Good News from a story of God's unconditional, loving acceptance into a loveless deposition of a legal case, requiring proper acknowledgment of guilt, accompanying shame, appropriate, verifiable repentance, and then a trial period for behavior modification. The younger son (known as the prodigal), doesn't change the Father's mind about him, rather he is greeted by his father RUNNING to him from a distance to welcome him, then throwing him a LAVISH, scandalous party!
Trust is NOT a formula of believing right. It isn't a life of pushing the right buttons according to our ideologies. It's "TRUST in the Lord", NOT trust in an interpretation... or even in a particular scripture itself.
A Better View Pt3 - end or our Easter Series.Forgiveness does not require restitution or sacrifice. Then why was Jesus crucified?"The cross is not what God inflicts upon Christ in order to forgive. The cross is what God endures in Christ as he forgives." —Brian Zahnd
God does not require a sacrifice to FORGIVE! Salvation is about rescue NOT repayment. Discover the wonder of the Good News announced by Jesus in the Gospels.
It isn't OUR triumph in circumstances, life, health, finances, career, that Paul is talking about! It's CHRIST'S triumph over the powers of death!! We glory in Jesus putting to death death, and making us a TESTIMONY of HIS goodness when we trust entirely in HIM!!!
The gospel of grace begins and ends with forgiveness. And people write songs with titles like “Amazing Grace” for one reason: grace is the only force in the universe powerful enough to break the chains that enslave generations. Grace alone melts ungrace! (Phillip Yancey)
John 5:40(MSG) “You have your heads in your Bibles constantly because you think you’ll find eternal life there. But you miss the forest for the trees. These Scriptures are all about me! And here I am, standing right before you." (s) A Truth Seeker is one who seeks Jesus and incarnationally lives with this question; "How can I love and affirm others as God/Jesus loves them"
When we are faced with life events that shake us to our core, challenging all we believe, even our faith, this message will provide 4 important keys.
When you believe that you are acceptable, no matter what, you can be honest with yourself, and that is when you are the mostpowerful to grow. You Are Enough!
You had important things pressing you. You “brought me into being”, and by doing so gave me the gift of feeling loved and appreciated.
Your view of God IS your view of YOU! Find out how much your view of God affects your mental, physical, and spiritual health.
Christian growth does not happen by first behaving better, but by believing differently and with awareness of who God made you to be in Christ.
What if your fear was really an act of the imagination... a gateway into a life of abandonment to God's dreams for you?
God uses what we often view as upside down to uncover His radical love and redemptive purposes. Heres the second message in Jeff's current talk on deconstructing what we think of church and gathering together. Are you ready to accept the challenge to question?!

In this series we are going to explore the differences between knowing the Bible and knowing Christ, knowing scripture and knowing the reality of Christ in us.
Remember... with God Perception Is NOT Reality...He FLIPS It! Brokenness Doesn't Define You!
There is a way to remove violence from disagreement, retaliation from pain... it requires forgiveness rather than condemnation, a choice to honor rather than display indignity.
Do you find it difficult to be around people who are different from you? Are you easily upset by the lifestyle differences of people who don't believe or practice your faith or beliefs? This message will give you things to consider and help you embrace a more loving YOU!
There is a way to remove violence from disagreement, retaliation from pain... it requires forgiveness rather than condemnation, a choice to honor rather than display indignity.
Is it possible that God is SO good, the Gospel so scandalous, that redemption will reach all of humanity and all death will be swallowed up in the VICTORY of God's love?
If the Gospel is about a system of correct beliefs with the objective of going to Heaven at life's end, coercing others into accepting Jesus lest they be eternally punished could possibly make sense. However, what if the Gospel is NONE of this?
As long as the cross is the place where an angry god poured out his wrath upon his own son, you will never see the beautiful cross as the self-sacrificial giving of the crucified God in love for the world.
Look with us at several key scripture passages utilized to expound the idea of Hell, Hades, Lake of Fire, Eternal Punishment, Everlasting Punishment, and Judgment. You will find our time together uplifting and liberating!
Where does the teaching of eternal conscious torment come from? Is it really biblical or was it added to the interpretation of scriptures? Did God punish Jesus on the Cross to satisfy His justice or demonstrate His love because we were already forgiven? These and other questions of faith and destiny are answered.
This series of messages, will be pulling from the work of some of history's, as well as present day's, greatest theologians, scholars, and writers, including the writings of; the patristic fathers (Clement, Origen, Ignatius, and Gregory of Nyssa), Swiss theologian Karl Barth, Scottish theologian TF Torrance, English Theologian NT Wright, and American theologian and pastors Gregory Boyd, and Brian Zahnd. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to the work of Brad Jersak, Canadian author, speaker, pastor, and teacher, for his book, "Her Gates Will Never Be Shut", upon with this series is based, and numerous comments I'll share today will be taken from this outstanding book.
We want to take the “magic” -- the mystery out of listening to God and enjoying walking with God! How to break the thought patterns which prevent hearing God's voice clearly and living an abundant, joyful life!
We want to take the “magic” -- the mystery out of listening to God and enjoying walking with God! How to break the thought patterns which prevent hearing God's voice clearly and living an abundant, joyful life!
How do you know that voice… that thought… that idea is coming from God or just from you? God uses our thoughts to speak to us. It isn’t magic and it need not be mystical. We can know which of the many voices we constantly hear are from Jesus and which are not. We want to take the “magic” -- the mystery out of listening to God and enjoying walking with God!
[Eph 2:5,6] "You can never be more co-raised and co-elevated than what you already are. You can only "grow" in your awareness of your redeemed oneness." We spend time IMAGINING our oneness!
Mother Teresa - "Dearest Lord, may I see you today and every day in the person of your sick, and whilst nursing them, minister unto you. Though you hide yourself behind the unattractive disguise of the irritable, the exacting, the unreasonable, may I still recognize you, and say: “Jesus, my patient, how sweet it is to serve you.”
You are more than what you can see with your natural sight. You are more than what your feelings tell you. You are better than the input of family members, friends, the media (specially Social Media), and religious teaching you've received!
Pastor Wes brings a timely message on the thoughts we wrestle with in living a life of humility and purpose.
"You have greatly valued the prophetic word which came to fulfillment in what I endured. I will also guard you with great care, empowering you to stand strong in the midst of the troubled times... Rev 3:10 (Mirror Trans)
An inspiring message from our guest, Pastor Tyg Taylor, Founder and Executive Director of Wholly Kicks, about loving people through walking life out in the shoes God gave YOU.
“The Bible is the bible, NOT the "Word of God” Andy Stanley said, "the Bible is not the foundation of our faith..." Explore with us tomorrow these two difficult statements and find out how brother Stanley concluded his!
Have you struggled with reading and understanding the Bible? Is the Bible inerrant... infallible? Do you have questions about whether you can truly trust what you read--rely on what you hear? Don't miss Part 3 of this transformational series.
What is the overarching storyline of the Bible? How should the Bible be understood. This week's discussion challenges us to think about the bigness of God's plan to include all of humanity in a relationship with himself.
Have you struggled with reading and understanding the Bible? Do you have questions about whether you can truly trust what you read?... rely on what you hear?
Matt 5:43-45 (NTE) - ‘You heard that it was said, “Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” 44 But I tell you: love your enemies! Pray for people who persecute you!"
What do you do next when life takes a sudden turn... when bad news devastates your dreams and suddenly, you're expendable!
B. McLaren - "A faith crisis is often required to force us out of a stage of simplicity, certainty, and theological absolutism."
When Jesus gave the great commission, he instructed us to make disciples of every nation. Much of the focus in these efforts is to make disciples of Christianity or our own personal belief system. But what is our true responsibility as Christians?
It’s easier to follow rules than it is to trust in a living, breathing relationship with an invisible being. It's ok to be ok with your doubts!
NT Wright: "The most important narrative of the four gospels is, the crucifixion is the moment of, and the means by which Creator God wins the victory over the forces of evil.
Was Jesus punished at the hands of an angry God? Why did he die? Find out tomorrow why the Gospel isn't about going to heaven!
The goal of my trial is not victory. The goal of my trial is to see Him more clearly! Deeply Trusting Jesus in Prayer expresses itself in; a) total surrender and b) outward acts of love and service.
Baxter Kruger: "It is not about you inviting Jesus into your life; it is about Jesus already including you in his." Single greatest secret to enjoying and receiving in prayer, is knowing that you’ve been included!
Nothing you can do will ever take you out of presence! God leaves possibilities open to me so I might partner with him in seeing heaven brought to earth.
Prayer isn't about acquisition, it's about hosting God's presence. Nothing you ever do can remove you from God's presence. You're his! Prayer simply becomes a conversation with Father!
"He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love." Eph 4:25-16. Involvement can't be legislated - you can't make it an issue of obedience. It is essential every "part does it's share in building up the body"... that we realize WE have a contribution to making the Body healthy, and in changing our world.
