In this episode, your hosts Scylla Costa and Kevin Poissant will interview Dr. Nicholas Holt. Nick is the Head of Program for the Edmonton Scottish 2006 PDP Girls team.
Nick grew up in Wales and then completed his undergraduate and masters degrees in the UK, before coming to Canada to complete his PhD at the University of Alberta in 2002. His training included physical education, geography, sport science, and sport psychology. Nick worked at Leeds Metropolitan University and Brock University before coming back to the University of Alberta. He is currently a Professor and Associate Dean (Research).
Nick played rugby, cricket, and soccer (aka football). Eventually, he focused on soccer, playing at various levels in Wales and England before joining the Golden Bears soccer team (and 'winning' two CIS silver medals) while he was studying for his PhD. Nick began coaching when he was 18, and spent five summers in the US working for Major League Soccer camps. He currently coaches at youth and adult levels in Edmonton. For fun, he runs ultramarathons, with his favourites being Sinister 7, Canadian Death Race, and Blackfoot Ultra.

He is a CSA 'A' License certified coach and also has been certified at the NSCAA. receiving a Premier Diploma. Recently he completed the Canada Soccer Children's License and Youth License.
In this episode, your hosts Scylla Costa and Kevin Poissant will interview Chris Kooy. Chris is the Director of Boys’ Technical Development and also the Head Coach of the 2005 Boys team at Scottish United SC. Chris played as a midfielder with Calgary Callies (formerly Celtics) and went to 9 Challenge Cup CSA National Championships, winning three titles. Playing with Edmonton Scottish SC he won the Challenge Cup CSA National Championships 2016. He also played for FC Edmonton for a few years where he was the captain of the team.
In this episode, your hosts Scylla Costa and Kevin Poissant will interview Karli Hedlund. Karli is the Director of Female Technical Development at Scottish United SC. She played for Canada U17 and U19 National Teams, and represented Canada at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup New Zealand 2008. Later she got a scholarship at the University of Arizona.
In this episode, your hosts Scylla Costa and Kevin Poissant will interview Paul Hamilton. Paul is the Head Coach of the Player Development Program at Scottish United SC. He grew up playing soccer in Calgary and received a scholarship to play for a College (Cape Brenton) in Nova Scotia. Later he transferred to Trinity Western, going three years in a row for the Nationals. Professionally, he played for the Vancouver Whitecaps PDL team, FC Edmonton and North Carolina Railhawks. Paul was a NASL First XI award winner (equivalent to a League All-Star).
