Join Michele and James as they bring you the eagerly anticipated and much delayed Episode 424 of the The Doctor Who Podcast!

Given the (relatively) recent news that the 2026 Christmas Special is no more, DWP424 has been a kinda-casualty in our scheduling. So we will now bring you our “tell all” interview with Ashley in a later episode – although his presence is very much felt throughout this one!

James and Michele therefore catch you up on developments relating to Doctor Who’s now-infamous Tender process, before turning to the sort of drama Big Finish aren’t usually used to – after last week’s snap refresh of their website and App! What could possibly go wrong?!

It’s also Brent‘s turn to sit in the famous Campervan Mastermind chair as he answers questions on his specialist subject which is…… tune in to find out!

And Drew returns with his take on The Final Cut – the first story in Big Finish‘s new Eleventh Doctor range from the new box set, The First Question.

All this – and more! Enjoy the show.

This ol’ internetty thing has been positively alive with Doctor Who rumours over last few weeks. What’s happening with this year’s Christmas edition of our beloved show?! After Ncuti Gatwa’s fleeting incarnation morphed into Billie Piper at the end of The Reality War last year, the BBC shared their post-Disney+ masterplan for Christmas 2026 and beyond. Journey back to October last year to hear our coverage of that news. However, silence has since fallen. Russell T Davies didn’t even mention the special in his recent interview with James O’Brien when discussing his future, and even went as far as to say, he’s “not filming again until next year”! But did he actually mean Doctor Who? IT’S ALL SO CONFUSING!

So, Christmas Special, or no Christmas Special?! Join Ashley, Phil and Ian as they try to make sense of it all!

Not be left out of the party, Ian and Phil got together recently to share their predictions in terms of what will happen in the world of Doctor Who this year. Will they go for a low-bar, easy forecast, or will they push the boat (or Campervan) out this year? Tune into this minisode to find out!

The voices are the same but the podcast is different….. or something!

Join Drew, Brent, Michele and James in our annual tradition of reviewing a recently animated “missing” Doctor Who story. This time, it’s the turn of The Celestial Toymaker.

Who & Company is the wonderful podcast hosted by Brent and Drew that has it’s roots firmly in Doctor Who fandom, however the subject matter goes far beyond the confines of the Whoniverse. Once a year however, the parallel worlds of our two shows converge and the focus is on squarely on sixties Who.

W&C has a distinctly different tone to that of the DWP. It’s an easy listen, more laid back and less rushed. So pull up a lounger, grab a mug of hot chocolate, get comfy and listen to four friends chew the fat about a classic William Hartnell story in Episode 86 of Who & Company, also known as Special 34 of the DWP.

Jump on board the Campervan as we celebrate fifty years of the Fourth Doctor! Join Michele and Ian as they steer the Campervan through a nostalgic celebration, taking Brent, James and Phil along for the ride. The scenic drive includes a fresh look at the fourth Doctor’s first television story, Robot, a review of the first story in Series One of his audio adventures from Big Finish Productions, Destination Nerva – and finally a chat about Seeds of Doom, the classic climax to Series 13.

Sit back and enjoy the phenomenon that is the Fourth Doctor, wonderfully played the indescribably brilliant Tom Baker.

Ian and James are back with our second show of the week with more Boom analysis. Allegedly the extra time since broadcast allows deeper and more insightful commentary – however this time, this may not be immediately obvious. Jump on board the campervan for singing, discussion about faith, the use of the Anglican church as a military force and how Mr Moffat come up with a solidified sausage-in-the-hand as a way to preserve mortal remains?! Oh, and we also talk about some Who-related emails we’ve received from our wonderful listeners.

The rest of the DWP crew (or some of them) will be back midweek with Episode 374A to provide a less-instant, more considered view of the episodes. Yes, regular listeners will be laughing in the Campervan aisle.
