Germination is the process of a seed sprouting. The Germ-i-nation podcast discusses multiple dimensions of personal growth. On some plains we are still seeds. On other plains we are seedlings, but we mustn’t stop there. We must use the storms of life to help us sprout and grow to massive depths and heights. This podcast reflects on every part of our journey, from the seed to the top of the canopy. Every episode will discuss growth in a different part of life. Obviously from the title of this episode, today I’ll be talking about virginity and Christian ideals that are impressed upon our society. Today I want to move towards framing things differently. I think that when it comes to things like sex before marriage and other taboo subjects in the Christian community, we sometimes put the cart before the horse. These ideals have an origin and at their origin there is a purpose and a reason, which should not be over looked. I am going to use the ideal of saving sex for marriage as the running example in this discussion.
