This is the second Sunday of Advent-Peace. Christ is coming to you daily and by surrendering those lesser things that fill our minds and hearts with anxiety we allow the peace of Christ to rule in our lives.
This is the first Sunday of the Advent season-Hope. What is God birthing in your heart today? It is our earnest expectation and wonder that allows the miracle to be born into our lives.
It is Christ the King Sunday, the last Sunday of regular time. We culminate our discussion of thankfulness with Peter's confession, "You are the Christ, the son of the living God".
We continue our talk about thankfulness. Many times in our life we look to Jesus to "fix it" and what we really need to do is settle down and trust Him to see us through. A thankful heart will keep us in line with what God wants us to learn about ourselves and humble enough to allow the Holy Spirit to transform us by grace.
Today we are talking about the spiritual law and practice of thankfulness. A thankful heart must be present to make the reflection and celebration of Advent meaningful and not just a religious exercise.
