Welcome to another episode of SFHM! This week was chock full of headlines for both good and bad reasons. I swear the NBA is the soap opera league of all the major North American sports leagues....and for that we are grateful. Anyway, lets get to it as we are now in the conference finals portion of the playoffs. Now, you would think that would be what we discuss this week or better yet what would have dominated the headlines this week. No no no leave it to the NBA to have stories that have absolutely nothing to do with the playoffs. First, we discuss the 76ers losing in seven games to the Boston Celtics in humiliating fashion. Welcome back to another episode of SFHM. This week everybody's team was in the news...for all the wrong reasons. First, Luh Bryce's Grizzlies told their resident supervillain Dillon Brooks that he would not be brought back next season. Under any circumstances. Harsh. Technically, the same thing happened to Lord Zedd after he failed for the upteenth year in a row to defeat the Power Rangers so based on precedent, that's probably a fair conclusion. Next, Eric's Bucks, after flaming out in this year's playoffs despite being the 1 seed, fired head coach Mike Budenholzer. Also, in the NBA world Bryce goes on a rant about the way the media discuses' this era's basketball. On the NFL side the guy's breakdown the top five selections made in this year's NFL draft. Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! This week has kicked off one of our favorite weeks of the year. The start of the NBA postseason. As this week also coincides with baseball getting into the swing of things, see what I did there, as well as NFL draft coverage. Definitely one of the best times of the year to be a sports fan. So, with that being said, we will do our best to cover it all. First up on the docket is the news that broke earlier in the week as superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has signed a 1-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens. We have all of that and more so remember if you didn't hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you.

The women's tournament ended with a bang as two top teams led by two of the best players in the country squared off. In the end LSU won yet the commentary after the game was more about LSU star Angel Reese and her taunting of Iowa star Caitlin Clark. We breakdown whether the criticisms thrown Reese's way were warranted or much ado about nothing. It was a sad week in the NBA for Bryce as his Mavs waived the white flag on the 2022-23 season by resting their starters which pretty guaranteed they would miss the playoffs. Bryce breaks down why the last-minute tank job had to be done. We discuss this and more so remember if you didn't hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you.
SONG OF THE EPISODE: Rae Sremmurd- Flaunt It/Cheap
Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! This week is all about the NBA as the playoffs are right around the corner. SONG OF THE EPISODE: 6LACK- Inwood Hill Park
Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! This week the guys are going directly at the media. If these past few months have taught us anything it is that the fourth estate has been severely lacking in regard to integrity, accountability and responsibility. As members of the media ourselves we also take responsibility for any material that we have put out that did not educate and or enhance a conversation. We will be better. Our topics today will cover things related to the media. First up we discuss Jaylen Brown's future with the Boston Celtics as the guard has discussed his displeasure with the team especially after being dangled. Yet again in a Kevin Durant trade. Next, we discuss the media's handling of 2022-23 MVP race as it has reached a very toxic and unhealthy level. Staying with the media the guys discuss journalist Dan Le Batard's comments regarding Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless and their effect on sports television. We have all of this and more so remember if you didn't hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you.
SONG OF THE EPISODE: The Strumbellas- Spirits
Welcome to another episode of SFHM! Our guy Eric has returned from his vacation. He gives an "enthusiastic" breakdown of everything that went right...and wrong. First, the guys get into the blockbuster trade that went down between the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers involving the number 1 overall pick for the 2023 NFL Draft. Staying with the NFL the Baltimore Ravens decided to use the non-exclusive franchise tag on Lamar Jackson giving the former MVP the opportunity to engage in contract talks with other teams. What are the Ravens up to? The guys discuss why everything is not what it seems. Switching to the NBA rumors are starting to swirl that NBA commissioner Adam Silver is on the short list to replace Disney CEO Bob Iger. Song of the Episode: Sonder- Make Me Stay
Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! We should mention right off the bat that Bryce is sick. So, if his voice sounds different or if you hear a cough of a man that sounds like he's knocking on heaven's door that is the reason. We also would like to wish everyone a happy Mardi Gras. Mardu Gras is one of Bryce's favorite events of the year but again as stated above he could not participate. He's taking the situation pretty hard so keep him in your prayers as he has to wait an entire year for it to come around again. Now, on to the topics. The guy's recap Superbowl 57 including whether that infamous holding call that pretty much sealed the Eagles fate should have been called. This also leads to a discussion about what it means to be a dynasty in sports. On the NBA side the guy's recap NBA All Star weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah. Which leads us to the same question that gets asked seemingly every year; Is All Star Weekend trash? We have all of that and more so remember if you didn't hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you.
SONG OF THE EPISODE: Peter Bjorn and John- Second Chance

The fellas then talk about the disappointment that was the Eagles/49ers game. Staying in the NFL, Bryce's Denver Broncos have found their new coach and all it took was a 1st round pick. Sean Payton better be worth it for Bryce's sake. Also, the guys discuss Tom Brady retiring.... again. First, we discuss the game that let us down the most: Bengals vs. Bills. We break down why we should have seen this performance from the Bills coming a mile away and what they need to do going forward. On the other AFC side, we discuss the Chiefs. vs Jaguars game. While we give kudos to the Jaguars for their remarkable one-year turnaround the boys agree that the outcome was never in doubt. The biggest storyline coming out of the game was the ankle injury suffered by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Flipping to the NFC the guys discuss what the Giants should do with Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley now that their season is over. Eric gives a surprising take on what the G-Men should do. Speaking of Eric his 49ers defeated the Cowboys and are now headed for an NFC Championship showdown versus the Eagles. The guys break down both Championship games as well as give their picks on who will make the Super Bowl. Somehow, the fellas each give a different take on how they would handle it...if they were the Ravens definitely want to stay tuned for that. Things take a bit of a serious turn as Eric gives us some backstory on his religion, Mormonism. Hopefully, now Bryce will ease up on the Mormon jokes. We doubt it but we can't blame Eric for trying. Anyway, on the NBA side the guys discuss recent comment made by Timberwolves guard Austin Rivers regarding basketball mixtape culture and how it has affected modern day NBA culture...for the worse. We have all of that and more so remember if you didnt hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you.

Also, since no one will talk about the Dana White situation we will. We have all of that and more so remember if you didn't hear it from the horse's mouth stop listening to the ass who told you.
SONG OF THE EPISODE: Asap Rocky- Sandman
Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! We are officially in the new year. We promise to take this show to another level in 2023. We hope all of your dreams, wishes and resolutions come true. Now, even though we are in a new year it appears 2023 was trying to pick up where 2022 left off....and with that being said let's get into today's topics. We discuss the ongoing health situation of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who went into cardiac arrest during the first quarter of the Bills-Bengals Monday Night Football matchup. Along with that we discuss the tweet seen all around the world and whether Skip Bayless deserved all of the vitriol he got. In basketball we go over the recent scoring boom in the NBA and whether that's a good thing or bad thing. We also venture over into the world of U.S. soccer as U.S. Men's soccer head coach Gregg Berhalter is currently involved in a scandal that involves a current player, that's player's mom, that's player's moms' friend, and a domestic violence incident that took place 31 years ago. Oh, did we mention that player's mom's friend just so happened to be Gregg Berhalter's wife. Welcome back to another episode of SFHM! This was a slow news week, but the fellas once again came through with fire content. Also, before we dive into the sports the guys have a spirited debate about gift giving specifically is it time, we end the gift era. Bryce seems to think so and debates the ethics of it. Also, it was also discovered during this topic that Eric once gave someone a towel for Christmas. So, we're not sure if he's even qualified to discuss gift giving. Anyway, let's get to today's docket. First, we discuss the NFL specifically the season ending injury to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. We also give an update on former Bills punter Matt Araiza, who was facing charges of gang rape which resulted in the Bills releasing Araiza. This week has been a slow burner but being the responsible podcasters we are we brought you guys the goods anyway. First off the NBA playoffs are officially underway. That statement would have been wishful thinking a few months ago but alas the sports gods have blessed us and the games did not disappoint. ITS DAME TIME! Word to Patrick Beverley, Skip Bayless and Playoff P himself Paul George. The NBA bubble is reaching its breaking point as were reaching the climax of the eight game restart. A lot has happened so lets get to it. First I think its official to say the MVPs of the bubble have easily been Damian Lillard and Devin Booker. Both of these guys have put there teams in position to legitimately make a run of the 8th and final playoff spot. Booker has the Suns at 7-0 and in striking distance of that last spot while Lillard just 61 pieced the Dallas Mavericks in route to putting the Blazers in the drivers seat as they currently have dibs on the eighth seed. The madness will continue up until the final culmination coming this weekend. We also give an update on the teams officially going home: the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans and the Washington Wizards. We also dive into the recent dustups the Houston Astros have gotten themselves in as well as the impact college football being cancelled will have on the sport going forward. So sit down and shut up you just might learn something.
Our first milestone! We have made it to episode 10 without killing each other its a miracle! Anyway we have a lot to unpack today so lets get into. The injury bug has yet again plagued the NBA with players like Domantas Sabonis, Bojan Bogdanovich, and Johnathan Isaacs already sidelined who would go down next was anyone's guest and unfortunately for Sixers fan it was Ben Simmons. We will discuss how this affects the team and more importantly head coach Brett Brown's future. Also, this will be the podcast of lists! The first list we will breakdown is the finalists for all the NBA awards. Who should win Defensive Player of the year? Also, did Nick Nurse get robbed of the coach of the year award? Finally, college football is going to look a lot difference this year no non-conference play, some conferences are moving to the spring hell one conference and a major FBS school have to decided to scrap their season entirely. We will dive into this and more so sit down and shut up you just might learn something.
Sweet Baby Jesus boy do we have an episode for yall! The NBA per usual is bringing all the flavor right now. We got teams out west fighting for a chance to play in the play in tournament for the final playoff spot. The stars as expected are shining bright with the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Devin Booker, Luka Doncic and TJ Warren putting up vintage performances to put their respective teams in position to make a run. Yes, I said TJ Warren the man has undoubtedly been the MVP of the NBA restart along with Philadelphia 76ers guard/Youtube star Matisse Thybulle.
