This episode comes as a response to a great question from one of our phenomenal students at TRC who asked why kids/teenagers need to grow up and mature instead of just being kids. This came up after a part of a recent sermon by Mitch who brought this up. We decided to tackle this fantastic question focusing on the adolescence range and talk all about development, maturity, growth, discernment, having fun, and many other great things. Thanks so much for an awesome question!

The alarmingly rapid growth of Tik Tok Spirituality continues to be a driving force in the digital age as people look to short snippets of information for answers and truth. However, what they are often finding is a growing number of people who don't believe in the inerrancy of Scripture or think God changes or adapts to situations or that church membership no longer matters. Mitch and Chris dive into this trend to enlighten, encourage, and warn against the heretical claims we see and hear online. We live in a world where truth is subjective and opposing narratives and viewpoints are running rampant, particularly when it comes to politics, social injustices, race, military conflicts, and much more. Mitchell and Chris break this down and discuss how Christians should respond and filter information when it's hard to know what is true. This episode was sparked by an interview between Tucker Carlson and Colonel Douglas Macgregor, which you can view here: https://youtu.be/iMUAaWK79Vc?si=cAARGn9_9yECxBYq.

Keith and Mitch tackle a difficult, but extremely important topic today. Christianity collides with culture quite often, especially right now, but sometimes it's difficult for professing Christians to keep them separate and not to try and fit Christianity into the culture and turn God into a genie or Santa Claus type figure. Great discussion this week so give a listen and don't forget to send in your comments and questions and topics to us via email at theologyinthedirt@gmail.com.

Today's episode centers around the question of how do we as Christians incorporate the concept of compromise for the best of our society, when there are without a doubt going to be times where we might not be able to compromise based on our Biblical worldview as believers. Thanks to one of our listeners for this question that inspired today's episode.
