Jay is a U.S. DJ and producer based in Philadelphia/ NYC, currently building an impressive, musically diverse catalogue of releases on her newly launched People Of The Light label, a project centred on presenting music as an art form, unique offerings bound with soul and emotion. Releases on Hot Creations offshoot Emerald City and Mr C’s Superfreq have further raised Jay Hill’s global profile, and she was a panelist and guest tutor at this year's Brighton Music Conference. Never one to limit her creativity, two of her tracks also feature in a new short film titled ‘Exposures’, set for release when film festival season starts back up again.

After making her debut on Freq Traxx, Volume 1, Philadelphia-based producer Jay Hill returns to Superfreq (https://superfreq.org) for a full release, this time in collaboration with up-and-coming Scot, Arctor (@https://soundcloud.com/tomlivingstonmusic). Hill has landed on King Street Sounds and iRecords with her highly hypnotic sounds and is very much one of the rising stars of the modern scene. Her partner here is Arctor, and their collaborative single finds plenty of fresh new ground in tech house. Standout opener ‘Mercurial’ is built on solid beats and splashy hi hats. Real tension comes from the warm, rich chords and some trademark Superfreq trippiness is delivered from the acid melodies and spoken word vocals. This is a timeless piece that sounds perfectly retro and modern all at once. Asad Rizvi is a UK artist with a rich history that dates back 20 years. As the second release on FM Elle, she keeps the fire burning with a sultry two-tracker that delves into some of her more atmospheric musical ideas and soundscapes. The A side, "The King", features abstract sampling techniques and blissful synth arpeggios while the B side, "Lion & Lamb" has more jagged textures and a darker feel to exquisitely juxtapose the former.

Bloodmoon was written on my birthday in 2015 with Bloodmoon in the sky. Featuring vocals of @Nueves who stepped outside his normal hip-hop vocals comfort zone to lay down some emotive spanish vocals. We recorded his vocals at the Resolute Label studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

'Originally released in April of 2015, the track 'Happy Warrior' was the second original track that Eric Shans and Jay Hill released on 3Bridge Records. It now gets a rework from Berlin, Germany's Nadja Lind, who is a veteran producer and DJ, owner of the Lucidflow label imprint, and one half of the duo Klartraum.
Nadja's remix takes the driving and atmospheric elements of the original and contains them within a hefty set of dark techno beats, shuffling bass lines, and patterned synth workouts. It's meant to played on monumentally sized speakers in a dimly lit nightclub (or warehouse), or a festival to ten thousand gyrating bodies. There's also an underlying sense of groovy fun to it as well which gives it even more play ability.
To say we're excited to have this in the 3Bridge Records arsenal is an understatement. Take the remixed journey of the 'Happy Warrior'.
