The Drunk Files is a Canadian mystery/comedy podcast created by three east coast friends who sit down weekly, drink too much and discuss all things conspiracy, controversy, and true crime.
It's reading week with the drunk girls are we're telling ghost stories! We decided to take a different approach this week and tell stories from books and at some points in this episode , we're as shocked as you by the stories because we didn't read ahead! This is one of our drunker episodes, recorded on a Friday night, so expect lots of banter and wheezy laughing ! Enjoy!
This week the drunk girls are bringing you stories from the moving holiday; Easter, since tis’ the season. Don’t worry, we stayed away from the religious stories you’ve all heard before. Instead of rising from the dead, these stories are more centred towards mass murder, and petrifying rabbits. This ain’t your momma’s Easter. We’ll leave that to her.
This week the Drunk Girls are exploring some of Earth's greatest mysteries. We stocked this episode with wacky stories about the world's oldest computer, the craziest Kentucky shower in history and a disease that makes you dance to death. Of course, it wouldn't be the Drunk Files without a healthy dose of fun facts and drunken banter. Enjoy!
This week the girls travel to Ireland for their stories in lieu of St. Patrick's day. A mixture of stories from folklore to hauntings and an extra special treat, the lovely Becky O'Quinn joins us. Of course in the spirits of the leprechauns we got extra fun and drunk.
This week the girls are revisiting some childhood memories at the circus. We're not clowning around when we say this episode is an emotional rollercoaster, so get your tissues ready, and step right up to the drunk girls circus!
Fasten your seat belts for this one Ladies and Gents! If you’re a frequent listener of The Drunk Files, you know sometimes (rarely) we touch on conspiracy theories, but this time each one of us told our own conspiracy theory story, and believe us, you don’t want to miss this one. Not only did we all go in completely different directions but we also got more drunk than usual! Can you guess some of the theories we talk about by the title of the episode?
In this week’s episode, The Drunk Girls go to space! Another broad topic for our third episode in season 2, and we went to all different ends of the galaxy. As Buzz Lightyear once famously said, “To infinity, and beyond!” Or, at least to the moon and back.
This week the girls are chatting about folklore that inspired murders. This creepy topic is broad enough that it took all the drunk girls in different directions and you’ll get to experience completely different realms of folklore (And murder) if you’re sensitive to our normal crime episodes, you don’t have to worry, our focus is equal parts folklore and murder. We’re refreshing our views in season two!
Enjoy !
P.S. Do you get our pun?.. it's like cocktail, but folktale.
We're back with a new, rebranded season. Starting things off in the new spooky season, we chose an especially spooky topic; Poltergeists. You'll hear fun facts, history and some crazy, scary stories, oh and some jokes thrown in for good measure.
Although Ellen has never had a ouija board in her apartment, we were pretty sure we summoned the ouija board demon this week. Oh, that's our topic by the way, for the last episode of 2018. Can you believe we're saying that?! The last episode of 2018! But back to the topic; ouija boards, we learned a lot this week and all our plans are ruined and we're terrified. But it's nothing a little sage won't fix! (We hope)
This week, the drunk girls have yet another special guest, our dear friend, Eduardo! We also had him choose the topic of the week, Urban Legends! It ended up being out longest episode ever! We’re bringing awareness to Black Eyed Children (if you don’t know, you especially should listen) and bringing in the classic, Bloody Mary. Plus, Jaimee has a creepy pasta to share that’ll spook and confuse you! Have a good listen!
Can you see into the future?? If not, let us tell you about this week's topic; psychic predictions. This being one of our all time unexplained, unsolved mysteries ever we decided to dive deep and explore stories of skeptics and believers. Once you dive down a rabbit hole it's hard not to get caught up, so we've got little bit of fraud and a little bit of magic this week. You're going to like this one, I saw it in my crystal ball.
The girls left Halifax and went to The Rock this week to celebrate Maria's homeland and the sweetest place in Canada.(We wish we went in real life, but we only really went in our stories.) Our topic was Newfoundland and we had a variety show, hitting paranormal, true crime and extraterrestrials!
Happy halloween to all you witches and ghouls. The drunk girls have some tricks up their sleeves this week in a special out of order, Halloween themed episode here to spook and entertain you. Will you be able to listen alone without shutting the blinds? We dare you to try.
