His deep-rooted passion for music began early, shaped by his mother’s record collection, his brother’s 45s, and late-night radio shows featuring legends like Red Alert. However, it was his first encounter with the underground scene—thanks to DJ Roman Ricardo at the Tunnel—that truly ignited his musical journey.From collecting records by icons like Todd Terry, MAW, and Frankie Knuckles to mastering the art of beat-making, Robb’s dedication to the craft runs deep. His time at INDI Distribution, working with influential labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Nervous Records, and Henry Street, gave him a front-row seat to the evolution of house music. Learning from the very DJs and producers who shaped the scene, he developed a signature sound that fuses rhythmic groove, soulful elements, and driving beats.Hip-hop has always been a key influence in his music, from the way he layers percussion to the raw energy that fuels his sets. You can hear it in the way he chops samples, the bounce of his basslines, and the way his transitions feel like a DJ cutting up records on a turntable.
