This podcast is dedicated to transitioning people from a predominantly judicial/legal experience and understanding of God, to a familial one. We are transitioning from the courtroom to the family room: from theology to ABBAology. What if the Angel of Death had refused when asked to slay those without "blood on the doorposts?" What forms of "blood on the doorposts," do you need to notice about people for you to "pass them over" and not attack them. As you progress theologically/spiritually, the people from your previous camps will see less and less blood on your posts and may eventually attack if they don't see enough similarities....also politically....this can come from close family and friends....it's lonely. What's worth more to you?
Super stoked for this podcast! I believe you'll really enjoy it as we look at symbolic and allegorical ways to view and receive encouragement, revelation, and wisdom from the Easter narrative. The scriptures are full of life and can be so powerful and helpful now that we've weened off of the fear-based theology so many of us were raised in.
So not being under a covenant is a big idea, so let's do a few epidodes on it instead of rushing through. This is huge! In this episode we go back in time in our lives to find out why we ever believed, and then continued believing we needed to be in a covenant with God.
God meets us in our perception not our reality. This is where he can connect with us. Sometimes the reality about you is too wonderful for you to even handle yet.
Certain teachings are like a red shirt in a load of whites when it comes to our theological structures, and none more than the doctrine of original sin/sin nature. This toxic doctrine pollutes our entire self-opinion and opinion of the world around us. This episode also discusses the balance of dressing, keeping, and resting, and how sometimes a pendulum swing is necessary during transition to balance.
In today's episode, we have an exciting talk about how neither Jesus or Paul had a belief that they were not allowed to go beyond what had been previously written and said.
It's been a long time! After a move to Ecuador in November 2021 which has resulted in nonstop challenges in every area of our lives, as well as unbelievable growth and adaptation, I feel peace about getting back to this podcast. In episode 12, we explore how the judicial wine has run out at the wedding feast, but Jesus is here to turn judicial waters into family wine and keep the party going. A judicial mindset results in obsession with minutia, where as a familial mind enjoys the relaxing overflow and stops being obsessed with the minutia.

Much of what's written of was future for the writers and their immediate audiences, but long past for us. This simple key of "knowing what time it is" will revolutionize your new testament understanding.
There's a time to tear down, and a time to rebuild....We have the heart of a wise master builder, not just a wise demo-er....this episode can be extremely powerful to help you understand the journey you're on into ABBAology.
Jesus is an example of us, not for us. If Jesus is an example for us of another behavioral standard unto which to attain, then He kept us under law! But if Jesus is an example of us, then we can see He was trying to take us out of that law based way of relating to the Father, and into a sonship, family based way of relating to Him, as He did!
Jesus came to restore spiritual sight to a humanity that was seeing through a veil...seeing a distorted view of who God was, and who they were....Jesus never told anyone to change their nature, but He did teach that they weren't seeing clearly...He was the spiritual understanding that came into the spiritual blindness, and He'll heal it if we can get this!
