Unity were on board to premier our new show 'Release', an immersive theatre experience for small audiences that tells stories of migration from a female perspective. In our first podcast we discuss how due to Covid-19 theatres across the world have had to close their door. One national theatre tour that has been cancelled is The Twisted Tales of Hansel and Gretel, a show that our artistic director Esther Simpson devised and directed. The Twisted Tales series is a groundbreaking project that supports professional artists with a learning disability to be placed centre stage. The podcast includes snippets from the show alongside interviews with members of the cast including: Nicky Priest, Charles Craggs, Jesica Rowe, Rishard Beckett, Jake Jarvis, Luke Greenwood and Vicki Taylor. The podcast also includes an interview with the Chief Executive from Open Theatre Company Richard Heyhow.
