The Balance is exactly that...all about balance. We are passionate, not only about our jobs as creatives, but about everything outside of them. Be it artists, designers, developers, photographers, or musicians, we all live in that space between creativity and everything else that fuels it.
We started The Balance because we wanted to talk to other creatives who also strive to find the healthy balance between family & work, work & play, and play & creativity. Our hope is that these interviews will give insight and inspire you to find your balance.
Summer is a great time to enjoy our beautiful outdoors: with the warmer temperatures, many of us go on camping trips and spend days with our friends and families by the ocean or the lake. Many of us walk more, cycle to work and school, and go on hiking trips. But lately, our summers have also been plagued with extreme heat and thick wildfire smoke, making the time we spend outside shorter. So what do we do when we need to stay indoors in order to keep ourselves healthy? In this episode, hear what Dr. Emily Brigham (Vancouver Coastal Health and University of British Columbia) has to say about keeping our lungs healthy during wildfire smoke events so we’re resilient when they continue to happen in our future.
