Meagen and I set out to lighten the mood of society as it is today. We discussed our favorite topic: Sports. Well, the lack thereof right now. Sports unify us. They bring about camaraderie. They give us a past time to engage in that is not life and death thus in the grand scheme it doesn't matter...but it does matter. When will they come back? Your guess is as good as ours! We also provide recommendations for things to watch "during everything going on right now."
We talk with Dr. Chris Sneed of UT Extension Family and Consumer Sciences. Dr. Sneed is a Consumer Economics Specialist. We intended to talk about supporting small business, but in a true Extension fashion...we saved the world and every financial fallout occurring in the world "because of everything going on right now."

First time for everything! We hosted a podcast with a live studio audience at the Tennessee Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences state meeting. In our breakout session, we had our audience participate in the podcast with us!
We start a conversation based on the Nov. 16 2017 Tweet Up from the #EdTechLN based around mentoring and working with traditional methods and emerging technology. We also count down our favorite Christmas movies!
Lynne and Justin discuss professional associations from her experience in 4-H associations. Lynne provides her perspective as a 4-H agent from what we like to call the "mid-career" folks. We dig into some sticky waters, but really only dig deeper into talking points.
Turning from yesterday's episode, Meagen and Justin debate the need to change in professional associations and identify accountability and ownership as two issues that are holding up how agents engage in their professional associations. Things lighten up when they discuss the top 3 Marvel movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Today, we have an interview with Linda Bower, Regional Program Leader for UT Extension. She talks about the knowledge that associations need to adapt, but we can't quite figure out how. That leads Justin and Meagen into a conversation about the changing dynamic of our workforce and thus professional associations.
