An avid journalist since the age of 11, Tanea has always been a lover of words and had a passion for paper. After 13 years as an Executive Assistant, it was while on maternity leave after the birth of her daughter in 2007 that she began thinking about designing a stationery collection of her own.
With the name of a popular song from the 1980’s as her foundation and lots of support from her family, She’s Got Papers was borne. Heather Perren found Lagree Fitness after having triplets in 2010. She was looking for a workout to get her back into shape and after one workout, the choice was clear. Before long, Heather was obsessed with the workout and in 2015, when the kids were entering Kindergarten, she decided to get certified in the Lagree Method. Angela Ficken, LICSW is a full-time psychotherapist in private practice. She specializes in OCD, eating disorders, and anxiety-related concerns. She started her career at McLean Hospital, which is one of the top-ranking psychiatric hospitals in the country and is affiliated with Harvard University. She was the head social worker on an inpatient unit that focuses on anxiety and depression.
During her time at McLean, she trained in exposure therapy and became certified in CBT and DBT. Shortly thereafter, she worked at Harvard University as a primary therapist for undergraduate and graduate students. Shari Moss splits her time between a home near Toronto and a magical “unperfect” place in a small northern town on the lake. Faith Saunders has been a trainer for over 20+ years. She started her career at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), now Rutgers University, where she worked for over 12 years. During this time, she received a master’s degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation from the same and later became an adjunct professor at the School of Health Related Professionals – a position she held for many years.
She left Rutgers University to implement and develop a New Jersey State-funded Employment Institute - Career Connection Employment Resource Institute (CCERI) at the Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ). She served as director of CCERI for fourteen years - providing training and technical assistance to over 150 organizations in 10 New Jersey counties on mental health and employment-related issues.
She transitioned to being a "full-time" entrepreneur in 2014. At Discover A New Future, they provide leadership, personal and career development trainings and consultation services to various groups and organizations throughout New Jersey. Their overall objectives in all that they do is two-fold:

Johanna Garton is a mother, proud Wisconsin girl, writer and cross country coach. In writing Edge of the Map, she interviewed more than 75 friends and family of Christine Boskoff and Charlie Fowler, including notable climbers such as Peter Habeler, Nazir Sabir, Willie Benegas, Phil Powers, Mark Gunlogson (current owner of Mountain Madness), Hector Ponce de Leon, Steve Swenson, and Conrad Anker. Conversant in Mandarin, Garton conducted several weeks of research and interviews near the site of Boskoff's death in China.
Not a mountaineer herself, Garton was drawn to Boskoff's story for deeply personal reasons: hailing from the same small Midwestern hometown, and in fact, attending high school together, though they never met. Their paths seemed destined to intersect.
When Boskoff went missing in 2006, Garton's mother, also a journalist, began a ten-year deep dive into Boskoff's story as well as a close friendship with Boskoff's mother. She devoted herself to this project until a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease made it clear that Garton was meant to pick up where she left off and ensure Boskoff's story was told.
Before the publication of her book, she dabbled in nonprofit consulting, college teaching and a brief, but quickly extinguished career as a lawyer. She's moved her family to China, been charged by an elephant, and has completed over 20 marathons. She and her husband share their home in Denver with two bright children who are much wiser than she is and the inspiration of her storytelling.

As a writer of children’s books, she understands the value of childhood literacy. She does everything she can to promote early childhood reading. One of her greatest joys as an author is donating her books to young children. Zane sponsored the Storybook Opera to Northland Christian School and donated a book to every child in Pre-K through 1st grade. Theresa Siaw is a social entrepreneur and founder of the OMNI Medical Student Training Program, which helps students who have trained at foreign medical schools to prepare for their first job in the United States. In addition to being a first responder for Hurricane Maria, Theresa also hosts an annual Backpack Give Away to underserved children, and a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway to ensure everyone is able to celebrate Thanksgiving, sponsored single mothers in need of uniforms to stay in school and feeds the homeless every Thursday.
Theresa believes that a leader should be an advocate for the people in its neighborhoods, not a celebrity. She strives to be available to the community and seek their input on ways to reduce crime, improve education and access to healthcare, and enhance the overall well-being of Chicago.
Theresa was born on the southeast side of Chicago; both her parents were African immigrants from Ghana and continuously expressed that education was the most important achievement. Theresa earned a B.A. in Multicultural Marketing from DePaul University in 2010. Immediately after school, she began working in community healthcare at the Humboldt Park location of San Pablo Medical Center. With the encouragement of her mentors, Amer Rustom, MD, Eric Mizuno, MD, and Anthony Tedeschi, MD, former CEO of Weiss Memorial Hospital, she went on to found her own medical student training program.

Carl Goldberg Inventor of The Ruff Rider Canine Vehicle Safety Harness on Women Entrepreneurs Radio
The Ruff Rider Canine Vehicle Safety Harness was first envisioned by Carl Goldberg in Boulder Co. While traveling down a windy mountain road at five mph, a car driving up the mountain, was traveling on the wrong side of the road. When Carl slammed on his brakes to avoid a collision, his 125-pound chocolate lab was ejected from the back seat and thrown through the windshield landing on the hood of the car.
