World Mission Our Mission

World Mission delivers the Word of God in audio format to oral learners living in unreached people groups. We believe that it is our responsibility as Christians to follow the Great Commission, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19-20). While it is always our desire to reach everyone, anywhere, we specifically focus our efforts on reaching the Unreached; those throughout the world who have never had the opportunity to hear the gospel and accept Jesus Christ. Core Values Prayerfully led by the Word of God and following the Holy Spirit’s leading, our ultimate objective is to fulfill the Great Commission by seeing the lost develop a meaningful relationship with Christ.

We strive to be focused and disciplined; fulfilling our mission will always receive the best of our time, energy, and resources. We seek to always maintain positive attitudes, building team members up, and never speaking thoughtless words about one another. We believe the gospel is most effectively presented in a holistic context and that national leaders led by the Holy Spirit are the most effective ground laborers to implement our mission and engage unreached peoples.

We welcome volunteers who are led to serve at World Mission and will provide a positive environment for them to use their gifts. www.WorldMission.cc

Acts 1:8 - The World Mission Podcast

Jesus' last words were NOT the Great Commission - to make disciples of all nations. But rather, to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, AND the ends of the earth. The famous mission verse of Acts 1:8 is a calling and responsibility for every Christian. Loving those nearest to us while having an expression to those who do not have access to the gospel. That describes the 'ends of the earth'. The literal last 4 words that Jesus spoke.

Find out how you should assess your own stewarding of Acts 1:8 and how World Mission is impacting the 'ends of the earth'.

Today Greg Kelley and Rusty Humphries are talking about some amazing examples of how World Mission combines strategic humanitarian ministry with their gospel presentation. See how Greg Kelley and his team at World Mission are making a difference.

Clean Water - World Mission Update

Access to clean water is one of the greatest humanitarian needs in the world today. 1 out of 3 people in the world does not have access to clean drinking water. Some estimates say that every 21 seconds someone dies because of a lack of clean water. It is a huge need. It is a huge opportunity!

World Mission is active in drilling deepwater wells all around the world while also distributing water filters for needy communities. As we do, the motivation of our good deeds - the love of Jesus - is shared. It is amazing how God uses these simple acts of kindness to open a previously closed heart to the Good News.

Join Rusty Humphries and Greg Kelley as they share many examples of how God is using World Mission and their water division (Zoe Waters) to impact millions of people around the world. Zoe means LIFE. Let's bring life to a world that does not know the one who created and gave them life.

We seek to always maintain positive attitudes, building team members up and never speaking thoughtless words about one another.

Chittagong, Bangladesh Part II - The World Mission Update

Please help the poorest of the poor! Go to WorldMission.cc and make a difference with children and in villages, who have NEVER heard the word of God, in the furthest unreached areas of the world.

The poverty in rural Bangladesh is staggering. Greg Kelley and Rusty Humphries are visiting villages that represent the lives of millions of Bengali people.

One village you’ll see was under 6 feet of water during the monsoon (rainy season) from last year. You’ll also meet a Hindu leader who receives a Bengali language Treasure that our listeners provided. And, don’t miss Rusty’s ride in a bicycle rickshaw! Can his driver make it up the hill?!

You can't miss this episode! Join Greg Kelley and Rusty Humphries and you'll experience the authentic village life of rural Bangladesh and also see the crazy street activity of the 2nd largest city in the country.

While in the village Greg distributes life saving water filters and is almost run over by the mob rushing to get a filter! Seeing the filthy water and then watching Greg drink is pretty remarkable and makes the villagers true believers.

The city action of Chittagong will make you appreciate your home. The lack of sanitation, hectic noise and mass amount of humanity is something you won't hardly believe. But, like Greg says, that is why World Mission is there. To share the Good News and let them know Jesus cares!

The Great Commission Update - The Philippines - Natural Disasters Join Greg Kelley and Rusty Humphries on the Great Commission Update as they discuss the dynamics of the island nation of the Philippines. Of the 10 most disaster-prone cities in the world, 8 of them are in the Philippines. A constant barrage of earthquakes, typhoons, floods, and mudslides devastate this country. What an opportunity for the gospel which is exactly what World Mission is doing. God Bless, Greg Greg Kelley CEO/Executive Director

Our Mission

We strive to be focused and disciplined; fulfilling our mission will always receive the best of our time, energy and resources. We seek to always maintain positive attitudes, building team members up and never speaking thoughtless words about one another. We believe the gospel is most effectively presented in a holistic context and that national leaders led by the Holy Spirit are the most effective ground laborers to implement our mission and engage unreached peoples.

The Great Commission Update - The Persecuted Church

Today Greg Kelley and Rusty Humphries talk about a hot topic that every Christian should have awareness about. The Persecuted Church. To realize 1 in every 9 followers of Jesus are living a persecuted life is almost unbelievable. Yet, Jesus and Paul both told us that we should expect persecution. In Matthew 5:10 Jesus said, "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

The persecuted church would want you to pray for them to have courage and boldness NOT to be protected from being persecuted. Let's stand with our brothers and sisters around the world!

Rusty Humphries and Greg Kelley are talking about how current natural disasters are creating unique opportunities to share the gospel with unreached people groups. Northern Kenya is in the midst of ongoing drought conditions. The nearly dozen different people groups are primarily pastoralists (raising animals such as goats, sheep, and camel) and depend upon these animals for their survival. World Mission is drilling water wells to help provide clean water while also sharing the solar-powered Treasure in many languages so they can hear about the love of Christ.

Meanwhile in India, the conditions are very different. Historic flooding has taken the lives of over 200 people in the state of Bihar. This state has over 110 million people and is less than 1% Christian. Showing compassion by providing basic survival resources of food and water is opening the door for the gospel to be shared!

One of the greatest challenges to seeing the Great Commission fulfilled is our ability to develop leaders who are capable to make disciples. Unbelievably 85% of the churches in the world are led by men/women who have no theological training. And even worse, there are 5 million pastors in the 10/40 Window serving without any access to formal biblical training. Rusty Humphries and Greg Kelley dig into this important issue today!

One of the goals of the Great Commission Update podcast is to inform you about the most pressing issues in the world that you'll never hear in the news.

Today we are discussing the humanitarian crisis caused by 1 million Rohingya refugees fleeing horror in Myanmar into the neighboring country of Bangladesh.  Within 2 short years, Cox's Bazar (a community in Bangladesh) became the world's largest refugee camp.  The conditions are dreadful from a sanitation and cleanliness perspective.

Imagine one stench filled latrine shared by hundreds of families?!  Now imagine one million people that are 0.01% Christian?!  Rusty and Greg are talking about how World Mission is physically helping the Rohingya while also distributing their solar-powered audio bible in their language.

The month of June represents Refugee Awareness Month and World Mission has a very active ministry to these precious people! Reaching refugees represents one of the great unprecedented opportunities for the Body of Christ. Since 68 million people are affected, we must have a strategy to show the love of Christ. A balance between humanitarian response and a loving gospel witness should be our goal. Before Jesus told us to 'go' he told us to 'wait'! That is to wait upon the Holy Spirit which gives us the ability to carry out the Great Commission. We need the Holy Spirit to help us love refugees in places like Congo, Lebanon, Somalia, Nigeria, and Bangladesh. Today we discussed examples of how World Mission is doing just that and how you can be a vital part!

On this edition of The Great Commission Update with Greg Kelley. One of Greg's friends, Kahn from Cambodia talks about how things are going in his home county.

In the Great Commission, Jesus called us to make disciples of all nations. This certainly includes the hundreds of millions of Buddhists, many who have never heard the gospel message. World Mission is committed to telling all Buddhists about the love of Jesus. We do this by distributing our solar-powered audio Bibles (Treasures), doing acts of compassion and showing them unconditional love.    God changes the heart.

On this episode of the Great Commission update we discussed the Muslim faith and specifically Ramadan. This is their holiest month of the year. It falls every year during the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. During this time strict fasting is observed from sunrise to sunset. There are 2 billion Muslims in the world today who use this time to focus on their prayer, charity and overall abstaining from worldly pleasures. Christians need to be aware of the Muslim lifestyle so that we can effectively pray for them. In the Great Commission Jesus called us to make disciples of all nations . This certainly includes the hundreds of millions of Muslims, many who have never heard the gospel message. World Mission is committed to telling all Muslims about the love of Jesus. We do this by distributing our solar powered audio Bibles (Treasures), doing acts of compassion and showing them unconditional love. God changes the heart.
