Candidates are also asked to provide a short (200 words max) bio to be included on the ballot. Here’s Adam's 200 word bio:
Greetings.
My name is Adam Mayor and I am writing to introduce myself to you in order to gain your vote to grant me the privilege of being on the board of directors for the HOA of the great Lyon’s Gate community. I am a Vice President of technology operations at Wells Fargo bank with 11 years of experience in the finance industry. My skill sets of project management, incident resolution will benefit the HOA if I am elected. I have always been fond of the town of Gilbert; however, the Lyon’s Gate area was the location my wife and I fell in love with and decided to start a new family in. I am running for the board because I see opportunities to improve the community for everyone’s benefit. When the time comes, vote for Mayor if you want to take back the neighborhood sidewalks from low hanging tree limbs or encroaching bushes. Vote Mayor if you and your love ones want to see someone try and resolve the issue of tripping hazards from uneven concrete sidewalks. Vote Adam Mayor for a more safe and peaceful Lyon’s Gate community.
Let us work together.
Sincerely, your neighbor.
Push Play and listen in as Adam talks about his reasons for running for the Board and his qualifications.

My name is Sarah Jo Frasier. I have lived in Lyon’s Gate with my dog Alex since December 2018. It is truly my home. As a homeowner, I take pride in what Lyon’s Gate represents. I love my morning runs in the community and seeing so many residents out and about.
I would make an excellent member of the board. I will serve as a representative of families and answer to you first. Building a relationship with the people in Lyon’s Gate is an important part of being a board member. I promise to take my role seriously while upholding the values and needs of the people and the community. I will serve with the mindset of making smart long-term business decisions that ultimately increase property values and ensure that Lyon’s Gate stays a desirable neighborhood to move into and be a part of. As a government/economics teacher for 10 years, I held many leadership positions within my district. Civic service and fiscal responsibility were important topics I incorporated into every lesson. Being an HOA member is the perfect opportunity to serve and foster a positive connection with even more community members. After leaving teaching, I have found more time and a desire to serve. I work from home for a tech company. This allows more time I can dedicate to serving the residents. I would love the opportunity to serve you as a member of the Lyon’s Gate HOA board.

Profession: Educator/Trainer; 25 years
Residency: Deeded resident, cluster home; 13 years
I have served on the Lyon’s Gate Board of Directors for 6 years, holding the positions of President, Treasurer and Secretary. While serving, I worked collaboratively with other members to ensure the fiscal health of the association, which has helped enhance the value of the community, maintain the dues and build the reserve to $2.1 million.
As a Social Committee member for 8 years, we have been responsible for planning and executing the activities in Lyon’s Gate, like the Annual Block Party, Movie in the Park and Winter Wonderland.
Currently, I am providing insight and history of our community to our new property manager as we transition. This is a huge undertaking and there are many outstanding projects that need oversight. I will continue to support her in any way needed in order to allow a seamless transition.

Welcome to episode 8 of the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast. This episode is a Q&A forum hosted by the Lyon's Gate HOA with 2 of the 3 Town of Gilbert Mayoral candidates, Lynne King Smith and Matt Nielsen. Unfortunately, candidate Brigette Peterson was unable to attend.
Similar to the Town Council forum in the last episode, this Mayoral candidate forum is in two parts. For consistency between the two forums, the first part consists of the same questions used in the Town Council forum and part two is centered around questions submitted by Lyon's Gate residents.
This forum was recorded at the Lyon's Gate HOA community clubhouse on Thursday, July 23rd. While candidate Matt Nielsen attended in person, candidate Lynne King Smith attended remotely, via Zoom.
We are indebted to both candidates for taking the time out of their busy schedules to join us for this forum. We also hope this forum and the previous one, assist Gilbert residents in making their choices at the polls.

Welcome to the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast. This short episode is a reminder of the Q&A forum being held this week at the Lyon's Gate clubhouse. Wednesday, July 22nd, we will be interviewing the 6 Town of Gilbert Town Council candidates and the following night, Thursday, July 23rd, we will be interviewing the 3 Mayoral candidates. Both sessions will be recorded and posted here as two separate podcasts on the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast.
With the primaries rapidly approaching (August 4th), this is a great opportunity to hear from the candidates themselves on important issues impacting Lyon's Gate and the Town of Gilbert. If you have questions for the candidates, please submit them on-line by using the Lyon's Gate contact form located at https://livelyonsgate.com/contact-us/. We will get to as many of your question as possible.
Because of COVID-19, we cannot open these forums to the general public due to space restrictions, but we are opening the doors at 7PM both nights to allow a limited number of residents at a time to enter and pick up literature from the candidates. The forums begin at 7:30 PM both nights.

Welcome to episode 5 of the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast. Mike and Bob team up again in this episode to announce upcoming Town of Gilbert candidate forums hosted by the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast and to provide a few community updates and reminders for the residents of Lyon's Gate.
On July 22nd, we'll be hosting and recording a candidate forum with the 6 candidates running for the Town of Gilbert Town Council. The following night, July 23rd, we'll be hosting and recording a second forum with the 3 Mayoral candidates running for Mayor of the Town of Gilbert. Both of these forums will then be released as 2 separate podcasts on the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast as a public service to the residents of the Town of Gilbert. With the Primaries rapidly approaching (August 4th) this Q&A forum with the candidates provides an excellent opportunity to hear each candidate's position on the issues presented in order to make an informed decision on voting day.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions that are in place, recording these forums and making them available to Gilbert residents via this podcast, is the safest and most effective means of distribution. We know that the residents of Gilbert have questions they want to ask of the candidates, so we are asking that those questions be submitted in advance using the contact form on the Lyon's Gate HOA website at https://livelyonsgate.com/contact-us/. We will get to as many questions as possible during the forums.
In addition, each candidate will have literature, flyers, etc. that residents can pick up after the forums by visiting the Lyon's Gate HOA Community Clubhouse located at 1811 S. Martingale Road in Gilbert.
We will have more information about the forums in the next episode of the Lyon's Gate HOA Podcast.
