The Laughing Matters Podcast: Recent Episodes

W. S. Walker

At the start of 2010's spring semester, APSU student, W.S. Walker walked out of his dorm room in the middle of a blizzard with nothing on him, and lived the next 44 days without any money or ID going where the wind blew. Because of single discovery, he stopped everything, and threw open all of his defenses, making himself as vulnerable as possible.

Have you ever tried to explain why somethings are funny and somethings aren't? Tune in to W. S. Walker's The Laughing Matters, the ground-breaking book, read chapter by chapter by the author, and hang on as he sends you reeling through some of the most incredible discoveries on human behavior and why we don't feel right so much of the time and the universal design of happiness; things hidden in plain sight your entire life and answers that you never would have expected. The real motivations behind why we laugh will shock you to your core. A fair bit of warning: once you hear some of the hidden truths, you cannot unhear them. They are night and day obvious once you know which angle to see them from.

This is an advanced edition. The book has not been publicly released yet. If you want a much better understanding of who you are, why you don't feel important, where so much of your internal conflict (at a base-level) comes from, come on in and have a listen.

I've got some good news, and some bad news for you.

As you well know now, the Could Play channel is now dead before a single episode was released. In memorium, I've released the first episode of the would-be channel as a thank you for sticking around with the show. So enjoy! Or don't. I'm not a cop.

That's right. Today, I tackle the age old paradox and favorite atheists: How can God have a plan if mankind has free will? And what's more, I show the crazy correlation it has with the Copenhagen Interpretation (way more fun than it sounds). Tell me this doesn't make waaaay too much sense.

Very SPECIAL episode!!! First, it's the first episode available in true video format meaning that you can watch me perform the podcast with visual aids throughout (link below)! Secondly this is part one of two, which all leads to an explanation how Free Will and God's Plan work together (no paradox here, folks). And, of course, I address the biggest thing that gets in the way of understanding God for most people.

This episode can be used as a shortcut to skip the very first episode ("Preface") and jump right into book at Chapter 1. And then I dive into what I notice in Wandavision. Something a bit profound.

Ever wonder where the line sits that divides what we haven't figured out yet and that which we are not allowed to know? This chapter is filled with all kinds of weird science-y goodness, and examines a rather crucial part of the design of this existence.

We discuss why having real faith is terrifying, and I tell you the origin of how my own journey with these concepts started... and how the journey was almost cut short by the death of W. S. Walker.

We delve into what the Breaking Laugh really is, and I tell you the design of happiness. No joke. Literally the key to happiness and I spell it out simply.

We're taking a step back in this chapter to have a look at the history of what mankind has theorized is the answer to one of the most perplexing questions to ever plague a philosopher: Why is something funny? Why do we laugh?

In this chapter, we discuss a method that makes people SO much easier to trust and forgive, we learn how to get everything you ever wanted, we learn how to really learn, and we learn what a Martian thinks is the reason we laugh.

In this episode/chapter, we tackle a possible mistranslation in the New Testament that leads a rather mind-blowing revelation, we talk about God's feet, and the origin point of all emotions. Seconders will remember this one.

In this episode of the book, we offer a plausible solution to the Free Will vs God's Plan paradox, the folly of not thinking 4th dimensionally enough, and discuss the interconnection between people that lies beneath the surface.

View Details

In this chapter, we look at how much we matter, the truth about how we exist dimensionally within time, and find the root cause of all fears. That's right. The Granddaddy of All Fears.

(and, yes, I know I called it Chapter 3 at the end. Didn't catch it until after publish.)

Human beings are phenomenal creatures when it comes to sharing what we find when it is something good or has worth. And we are incredible at conveying what we have within us. But there's a sound missing. (oooo... cryptic)

Welcome to the podcast... you're in for a helluva ride. This is the Preface chapter of the book and ABSOLUTELY an essential start. You won't get half as much out of the book without doing the chapters in order and the Preface is the quintessential starting point.

That said, if you've ever wondered about why we laugh, if there's a creative force behind the universe, or how to stop the hiccups. you've come to the right place.

Bonus:

To see the author realize he had to reorganize the whole book and rewrite a quarter of it ON CAMERA here:
