·       What is a good place to start in this journey of transformation?

·       How do we identify codependency in our lives?

·       How do we identify burnout in our lives?

·       What are practical ways to grow in self- awareness?

·       What do you love best about Jesus?

As we finish our season let’s face what is real, and the take stewardship of our lives.

In these three episodes, Katie is sharing practical tools for engaging transformation in three key areas of brokenness in our lives: lies believed, wounds received, and sin done. Katie is joined by Krystal and Stacy, fellow ODR team members, to offer real life examples of engaging these tools for transformation in each of these areas.

Katie shares that finding freedom from sin is not found in sin management. We are not called to manage our sin. Rather, we have the opportunity to engage the process of "confess – repent – believe" to pursue freedom from our sin. All three ladies boldly share about sin from which God has been setting them free.

Katie confesses that she blamed her husband for all the problems in their marriage and that through confession, God brought about a whole new way to approach marriage.

Stacy confesses the lack of patience she had with her children that led to yelling and how through coming to her end point and confessing to God, He brought about a way to engage support and much needed breaks.

Krystal confesses that she held on to bitterness, finding herself upset when she saw anyone else happy. Krystal shares that through confessing this bitterness, God brought about contentment in her life.

These ladies share real life stories of God intervening at the moment of confession and bringing about whole new ways to live with increasing freedom away from those sins.

In today’s episode, Katie, Krystal, and Stacy share real life stories of hurt and how each of them have and are engaging healing.  Katie explores the topic of forgiveness and how it is more than “forgive and forget”; rather, Katie emphasizes the importance of naming what hurt you and taking it to Jesus for full healing.

Katie shares about judgment she received as a young mom when her parenting style differed from others in ministry with her.

Krystal shares about a wound she received in college when another housemate was inconsiderate in her correction of Krystal.

Stacy shares about the painful messages she received from her stepmom regarding her weight, ultimately leading to an eating disorder.

The three ladies entertain the hope of healing, reflecting on the quote, “If you don’t heal from what hurt you, you’ll bleed on those who didn’t cut you.” - Anonymous

Over the next three episodes Katie will be sharing practical tools for engaging transformation in three key areas of brokenness in our lives: lies believed, wounds received, and sin done.  Katie will be joined by Krystal and Stacy, fellow ODR team members, to offer real life examples of engaging these tools for transformation in each of these areas.

Today, Katie, Krystal, and Stacy share about lies they’ve believed and enter into real time processing of how to deconstruct those lies and live from the truth instead.

Katie shares that she often believes the lie she’s about to get in trouble, which leads to a cascade of stress and anxiety, which spills over onto her family.  The three ladies ponder what it would be like for Katie to live in freedom, unafraid of harsh reprimand.

Krystal shares that she believes the lie that she has ruined her kids, and more specifically, that the imperfect attachment she formed with them when they were little is beyond repair.  The three ladies ponder what it would be like for Krystal to allow restoration in with the hope of transformation, to build relationship forward, and to live the Gospel with her kids.

Stacy shares that she believes the lie that she is incompetent as a mom, especially given the limitations of a chronic illness she grapples with daily.  The three ladies discuss what it would be like for Stacy to not only believe that she is competent as a mom, but they also ponder what it would look like for her to strategize for support in the current reality she is facing.

This episode is full of hope as these ladies actively grapple with lies (and the patterns formed out of them) entertaining the possibility of living differently and from the truth.

On today’s episode Stacy and Krystal join Katie to talk about story sharing. One of the tools of the ODR Intensive is story work. Today’s episode is a small snap shot of what happens when you share your story at an ODR Intensive, modeling how to be both the story-sharer and the listener.  The reality of spiritual warfare over our stories is also pointed out throughout the episode.

Katie shares a story from her teenage years that left her believing that her voice would not be heard  and that her purpose was to serve other people at the expense of her own feelings and desires.

Stacy shares a story from her childhood that caused her to abandon her dream of being an artist. She also shares how God used story mapping to reignite her dream of being an artist.

Krystal shares a story from early adulthood, highlighting how words from a manager in one of her first jobs perpetuated feelings of being insignificant and unintelligent.

In each of the stories you will hear the lies that spiritual forces of evil have whispered to the hearts of these women and how the power of the Holy Spirit is speaking truth into these places to set each of these ladies free.

After moving halfway across the country with a newborn and into a missional role with a husband in post-graduate work, Krystal became overwhelmed.  Was this what serving Jesus was supposed to look like?  What did it mean that Jesus’ burden is light?

Krystal shares her story of coming to a breaking point and learning what it means to trust Jesus even in the midst of the difficult.  Hear how He met her there and led her into a new way of being.

In today’s episode Katie is joined by two other ODR team members, Krystal and Stacy, to discuss what transformation looks like in real life.  At the beginning of the episode, Katie breaks down how transformation works, followed by each of the ladies share personal stories of addiction in their lives and how God is working in them to transform them.

Katie shares about her addiction to approval and her transformation toward wholeness. She shares about healing from the mutually draining cycle of codependency.

Krystal talks about her addiction to being busy and her transformation toward rest, specifically developing a Sabbath rhythm. Krystal gives practical advice for having Sabbaths in your life, and what that looks like for a mother of young children.  She references The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer as an impactful resource.

Stacy talks about her addiction to anger and her transformation toward healthy, connective communication.  Stacy becomes very vulnerable as she shares her heart. She talks about being a wife and a mother while learning how to dismantle explosive anger.

Today's episode covers the Gospel framework in under 20 minutes.  In this episode, we recap the four episodes we just finished and present an overview of the gospel.

·      Creation, where we see the creativity of God, the rhythm, the order, and the ease of humanity and God together.

·       The Fall, where everything breaks down when the enemy enters the story with deception...and humanity questions God’s goodness.  Shame, blame, fear, sin, and death enter the world.

·       Redemption, where Jesus, through His death and resurrection, makes it possible for people to be reconnected to God.

·       Restoration, where humanity has the opportunity to be transformed, healed, and made new.

We currently still live in the reality of the fall.  It can be scary to face the reality of the fall in our own lives, but we can see it when we allow ourselves to look honestly.  We see that reality of the fall in our lives as evidenced by the lies we‘ve believed,  the wounds we’ve experienced, and the sin we’ve done.  There is hope to face the reality of the fall, bring it under the authority of Jesus, and experience transformation, healing, wholeness, and freedom.

The outcome is sad and dark.

Into the perfect world comes shame and blame.

The ease, peace, and purity God created was fractured.

Welcome to our first episode of the Original Design Restored Podcast.

In this first episode our host and lead facilitator, Katie Tramonte shares her story of transformation. From childhood to young adult and into a new marriage Jesus showed Himself to Katie and taught her what His love and kindness truly meant. It was through failure and seeing God’s grace that Katie began her journey towards developing ODR.

Now Katie acts as the lead facilitator at the ODR Intensives. The experience is more like a boot camp than a retreat. The three days’ intensive has the potential to be significantly transformative. Through the Gospel, your own personal story, and experiential learning, you will be stretched in a new way.

In this new podcast, we are going to be sharing some of what you would gain at the ODR Intensive, only through a podcasting format.

You can learn more about ODR on our website: https://originaldesignrestored.org/
