Mayo and Mustard Show: Recent Episodes

Jeremy and Keith

The fauxtivational podcast by two guys just trying to keep their lives between the mayo and mustard...….and out of life's ditches. We realize the burden of creating a new genre of podcast, but we can't decide if we want to be funny or motivational, so here is our fauxpod attempt at both. If combined, we have the cumulative attention span of a gnat, so the conversation can run off the road real quick....we just hope to get it back in the lane before we crash! Rather than trying to create more motivational content, we are more likely to provide you the cliff notes version of the motivation we find in our daily lives. Each week will be a conversation covering a handful of topics with more of an extemporaneous preparation strategy...translated, we'll get our heads together for 30 minutes before each episode, and go with what we got. In a format that is more like sitting on the tailgate at the lake, solving life's problems by the bunches. New episodes available at 7a Wednesday and Friday mornings. Thanks for giving it a go.....if you do. And if you don't, we fully understand why......

Great to be in the studio to talk about woodworking, college football and Thankful Thursday!

We talked about shows that we've both watched. But we don't watch 'tv'! We close with too much conversation about weddings.

View Details

We play a catch up for last week's oversight of the 4th of July, and discuss rosters of late night TV over the last couple of decades.

View Details

Jon and Jeff both in studio for this one....and the conversation just flows....

View Details

The show made the pivot to a Thursday only show, so we take a minute to talk through the transition.....then back to our normal rapid fire topics.

View Details

Who can remember what topics we came in to the studio with, but it turned into a full on discussion about music with Jeff.

View Details

Baseball, softball, Keith snorts numerous times because I'm an ass and we debate phone vs text....and the phone call wins.

View Details

Papaw had to babysit this morning and Keith gets trapped in a martial arts interview.

View Details

The first road trip since the pandemic is in the books and a woman pushed a bear off a fence to save her dog.....

View Details

Our pre-show conversations tend to override our notes for the show in pre-production meetings....if that's what you call our pre-show gatherings.

View Details

Jeff finally got the doctor in the studio....and it's definitely the longest, and possibly the funniest episode so far. And I think he committed to coming back.

View Details

I think we almost had a somewhat serious discussion this episode.....almost.

View Details

Hunter filled in for Keith on this episode.

View Details

5o episodes and 6 months later, this is all we got.....ha!

View Details

The one topic that made boujie googler Keith set his phone down without hesitation.

View Details

Sometimes our conversations are better when we don't have any notes to start with!

View Details

The longest episode covered all of Jeff's topics, and then some.

View Details

One topic just leads to another..... like usual.

View Details

Keith snorted 4 time before the show, and went downhill from there,

View Details

Thanks to Rachel we had a topic tonight!

View Details

Jeff comes in for his monthly appearance, and we end up with the longest show thus far.

View Details

We're back in the studio after taking a break last Thursday.....Keith didn't even make it on air without snorting, and as hard as he tried not to on air, the show got to him....multiple times.

Check out the pic on the Mayo and Mustard Show Facebook page too!

A little discussion about the J&J jab, Keith's new tattoos and our fascination with log cabins.

Author Kimberly McKay joined us for a conversation about the process of writing a book, getting published, podcasting and who knows how many other topics! You can find more information about her and her work at www.kimberlymckayauthor.com or check her podcast A Novel Thought on Spotify, Apple, etc.

Keith has a new puppy and is so excited to share .

View Details

Hunter is home for Spring Break, and we needed a boost for the show.

View Details

Dinner tables, March Madness, bears, millennials, New Orleans.....yep, that's about covers it all.

View Details

The topics we come up with.....and somehow weave them together within an hour.

View Details

Keith said he had enough notes to do the show....20 minutes in, we had to go to the reserve notes. This is the result!

View Details

Even though Jeff ditched us for his appearance, the show must go on. We kept it between the mayo and mustard and managed to have an almost adult conversations.

View Details

At one point the fly in the studio almost turns Jeremy into an assassin.

View Details

It's amazing the different topics we squeeze into 1 episode.  We lose it a couple of times and end up talking golf.

View Details

Naturally, we start with growing up with cartoons on Saturday Morning and transition to car wrecks.  Keith even gives his impression of Captain Caveman.

View Details

Scary that Keith had this much control of the show.  Surprised we made it through.

View Details

Another '3rd Thursday' with Jeff.  Keith kicks off a conversation about sports, but we did manage a little more conversation inspired by Snowmageddon.

View Details

Thanks to snowmageddon 2021, Keith is remote again. As usual, we cover a few topics...including faux-b!tch!ng, what if we were on a food show (I eliminated Keith with Breakfast food, we never made it to lunch or dinner discussions and close with some conversation about a PBS special on the history of the Black Church!

View Details

I'm not sure how we even got a show produced tonight! Keith had never seen Snoop Dog narrate Planet Earth, and I didn't think I was going to get him refocused after introducing him to it. Then, narrating my own bird story, I killed .....the sound board 4 minutes into the show. And again with 4 minutes left. After kicking the cord out of my headphones. Hence, the operator errors.....but it was still a fun show to do!

View Details

Due to a little winter weather, we unfortunately had to do a remote show. A bit of reflecting on the first 25 episodes before we whine about missing travel, then somehow we go from steaks to souse.....

View Details

A great conversation with John Roberts....another maker, builder, artisan, whatever label you want to use. When the conversation about building a side car for a BMW motorcycle starts with a picture of steel being shaped around a tree, you have my attention. When you pull up to the studio in a '54 Ford 3/4 ton, on a frame built by hand, that has a low stance and a 351 ..... you definitely get a mic to discuss the single person plane you are building in the same shop.

View Details

I'm still not sure how we ended up on these two primary topics ..... I don't think either one of them were in the pre-production conversations LOL.

View Details

Well, thanks to C19, we had to play it safe and reschedule our guest....which was a bummer. And, since it was a last minute issue, Keith and I had to wing it....which, is typically how we do every show anyway. Enjoyed the conversation about 2 of my favorite things...cars and podcasts!

View Details

My daughter Ashley joined us in studio to talk about her story, struggles and her advocacy work on behalf of abused children. This is probably the best and most personal episode to date.

View Details

For the second show in a row, we have an in studio guest....that may have worked his way into a recurring spot on the show. Always good times when the three of us get together....so good it took 4 takes to even get this show going! Keep sharing, liking, subscribing, clicking the bell, whatever it is you do if you like an episode! We've made it to 20 and still have  few more lined up!

View Details

Great conversation in the studio about the VFW from a female Chaplain’s perspective. Thank you Tanya for your service, and for the open conversation about your experience and how local communities can get involved.

Give it a listen and let us know what you think!

Thanks for pushing us over 1,000 downloads over the weekend

View Details

Thanks to Adam Savage getting a new workbench, we have a conversation about not being a gatekeeper, blocking other people's success, creativity or goals.

View Details

As much as we want to avoid contributing to or participating in the BS going on around us, we can't ignore it. But we quickly get back to where we both prefer to be.....on dirt roads!

View Details

Look, there's a lot of heavy crap going on and we could all use a laugh. And that, we accomplished with this one! And I think we managed to even have a semi-serious conversation for a moment or two. If you get at least one laugh out of it, please subscribe and/or share!

View Details

Maybe the most appropriate conversation we could have had to start a new year.

View Details

The final Mayo and Mustard Show....of 2020! Hopefully this is the last C19 episode for a while and we will both be back in the studio next week.

Happy New Year!

View Details

With a little Holiday COVID caution in mind, we decided to do the show separate for the first time. If Keith's audio is a little off this episode,  just blame it on facetime, LOL. As always, we cover as many unrelated topics as possible. No need to harp on just one for an hour, right?

View Details

When Keith takes over command central, all bets are off.....and so is his mic a couple of times, because I didn't give him admin level control! We wish you all a Merry Christmas!

View Details

Hmmm... not even sure how we started talking food, but when Gov't grilled cheese sammiches got mentioned, we almost lost a co-host to over excitement. But the gas station sushi story is still an all time favorite.....and is verifiable.

View Details

I think this conversation could have gone another hour, because we only talked about 1 of the 3 topics that were on the table. Then replaced Christmas talk with a conversation I had at the tire shop with about opportunities for felons. And Keith's mic had to be turned off once, and should have been turned off twice. Hopefully we are days away from having our official artwork finalized,  and will be on the podcast players momentarily!

View Details

Another tailgate style conversation....about teachers, fitness, work and of course, the general laughs.

View Details

We started with a new intro, which led to a conversation about job interviews, to cars, to Keith kicking cancer's ass and ended with some COVID struggles.

View Details

Our buddy Jeff stopped by the studio to fill mic 3 this week. Our friendship is nearly 20 years in the making, and somehow we managed not to drag the skeletons out of the closet on this one! Being able to have a conversation with Jeff about his Pop, fishing and faith made this episode a little longer, but worth the effort. Keith and I blame Jeff for the two of us even doing this podcast together, so you can blame him too.....regardless of how you feel about the show, LOL!

View Details

Good to be back in the 'studio' after eating for a week! We discuss a rode trip, car buying, woodworking, and a few other things I'm sure.

View Details

Keith and I are joined in studio by my son, Hunter.....who actually claims to have listened to every episode thus far, and that he was invited to be a guest by Keith! We give new intro music a test run, Hunter gives his generational viewpoint on a couple of previous podcasts and we share some of what we are Thankful for.

View Details

We took the mic's hot after 30 minutes of conversations and crack ups, and lust went live with our initial Therapy Session Thursday. Then, added my MIL via Facetime.

View Details

A conversation about friends, old and new.

View Details

Just like a couple of idiots, we couldn't focus on one topic and had a good conversation going, which turned to music. We decided it would be a good idea to start an episode there....so here's a little tune talk!

View Details

The officially, official first full episode of the fauxtivational podcast by two idiots just trying to keep their lives between the mayo and mustard...….and out of life's ditches. We realize the burden of creating a new genre of podcast, but we can't decide if we want to be funny or motivational, so here is our fauxpod. If combined, we have the cumulative attention span of a gnat, so the conversation can run off the road real quick....we just hope to get it back in the lane before we crash! Each week will be a conversation covering a handful of topics with more of an extemporaneous preparation strategy...translated, we'll get our heads together for 30 minutes before each episode, and go with what we got.

Watch for new episode each Wednesday morning, and thanks for giving it a go.....if you do. And if you don't, we fully understand why......

Three faux-podcasts in, and I let Keith convince me to talk about wrastlin, against my better judgement. Somehow, he managed to keep in between the mayo and the mustard, for the most part. This was the first recording before a live studio audience, so that added another good mix to the conversation. Hope you get a laugh or two! If you're curious who the dude in the pic is.....that's that Macho Man!
