So whether you’ve lost touch with something you were passionate about or you’re wondering if it’s too late to try something new, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about why passion matters, how to rediscover it, and the power of staying engaged with what truly lights you up.

Buckle up (and maybe unbutton) as we dive headfirst into the hormonal rollercoaster that is menopause! In this episode, I joined by some special guests where we talk night sweats, mood swings, and the mysterious disappearance of our metabolism. One of our guests, is a certified menopause whisperer aka pelvic floor physio along with 2 nutritional therapists. They help decode the science while we attempt to remember where we left our sanity (and our keys). Expect some brutally honest stories from me and tips for surviving your body’s surprise rebrand.
It’s menopause like you’ve never heard it before—because honestly, we were too busy sweating to hear it the first time.

I'm so excited about this episode where I get to interview Mayra Bernardes on marriage & monogamy.
In many societies, monogamy is a norm in marriage but is it stated when exchanging vows? Married couples are often expected to remain exclusive to one another emotionally, sexually, and sometimes socially.
However, not all marriages are monogamous. Times are changes as marriage and monogamy have evolved. There are now various interpretations, such as open marriages (where couples agree to have romantic or sexual relationships with others) or non-monogamous arrangements, challenging traditional views on marriage and monogamy.

Values, beliefs, and interests are key elements of what shapes an individual’s worldview, motivations, and behaviors and I wanted to have a look at each, given a few conversations I've been having.

I dedicate this episode to a dear friend who recently lost a family member to mental health. They had been failed by the 'system' which is an absolute traversty in this day and age but comes as no surprise.
Let's remember that mental health refers to someone's emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Mental health influences how individuals think, feel, and behave, and it impacts their ability to handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions. Good mental health is essential for leading a rewarding life, but it can be affected by factors including stress and trauma.
Look out for one another, it's important!

Mind over matter is a phrase often used to express the idea that the power of the mind can overcome physical challenges or obstacles. We often coin the phrase, 'you have one life' but what does that actually mean from a personal perspective. One life is used to emphasize the significance and preciousness of an individual's existence. It's that tme of year that we should think about working on ourselves. To do that, we need to engage in personal or self development.
Personal development is a holistic process that involves continuous self-reflection, learning from experiences, and taking intentional actions to improve oneself. It's important to note that personal development is a unique journey for each individual, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. It's about finding what works best for you and making consistent efforts to become the best version of yourself.

Hate is a strong and intense feeling of hostility, animosity, or extreme dislike toward someone or something. It often involves negative emotions such as anger, resentment, prejudice, and a desire for harm or destruction. Hate can be directed at individuals, groups, ideas, or even inanimate objects. It can result from a variety of factors, including fear, ignorance, cultural differences, or personal experiences. Hate can have serious and harmful consequences, both on a personal level and within society, often leading to discrimination, violence, and conflict. In this week’s episode, I discuss trust. Trust is a fundamental aspect of human relationships and interactions. It refers to the reliance or confidence that one person or entity has in another person or entity. Trust involves a belief that someone is honest, reliable, and capable of fulfilling their commitments or obligations.
Trust is a vital component of human relationships, teamwork, and societal functioning. It is based on reliability, honesty, and the belief that others will act in good faith. Trust takes time to develop but can be easily broken. Therefore, it is important to nurture and uphold trust in all aspects of life.

Superwoman, superhuman, Queen Bea provides a deep but hilariously funny insight into her manic world that involves nurturing 4 children, raising the bar at Microsoft as a senior woman in tech and screaming from the sidelines as a parent coach in rugby. Did I mention that’s just for starters…

In my last episode, we delved into what stress is. Not far from that subject, in this coffee and banter series, I chat with Terrell Lewis, an award-winning spoken word artist who cut his cloth in professional football and got mental health problems in the process. I seek to understand how he recognised he had problems and what he did to overcome them.

It’s my 50th, yes 50th podcast episode and I can’t believe I’m still going. For the past 2 weeks, I’ve had a bit of a stressful time. A bathroom renovation and volunteering at this years’ Commonwealth Games in Birmingham all collided which wasn’t particularly great.
How we deal with stress is important which I explore in this week’s episode.

Did you know that Emotional Intelligence otherwise known as EI is the ability to express and control our emotions but so is the ability to understand, interpret, and respond to the emotions of others? Imagine a world where you could not understand if a friend was feeling sad or a work colleague was angry. Lean in and listen to this episode where I dig deep to break down EI as simply as possible.

In another coffee and banter sessions, I ask do we really know the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest? Emma Harris does because she had just experienced one of them at the tender age of 49yrs young whilst on business in New York. This deeply honest episode educates not only about how the heart can stop suddenly but how we all need to ‘slow the fuck down’.

Are you really who you say you are? A while ago I decided it was time to be who I wanted to be and not an imposter in my own skin. This episode discusses just that. It’s time to be who you want to be and live your life as you want. To illustrate exactly how I felt growing up in my early years to kidadulthood, I absolutely recommend you watch the YouTube clip which is a short, powerful documentary. The link is below - the only part that doesn't apply to me is where sexuality is discussed.

Procrastination and Perfectionism are forces to be reckoned with and sadly, I’m guilty of both. If I had known way back when that I was destined to love, participate and devour sport, I think I may have put a teeny weeny more effort into competitions. More focus, more determination and more wins would have propelled me further than I could have wished for.
Despite the lack of oomph in my competitive state, sport was (and still is) my drug – it’s the thread I clung on to through a fractured childhood, it’s the catalyst for me engaging with people from all walks of life and, has seemingly kept my mental health in check during a global pandemic. What more can I say aside from enjoy!

I recorded this week’s episode on April 21, the day Derek Chauvin was found guilty on 3 charges for murdering George Floyd in May 2020. ‘I can’t breathe’ is the infamous phrase that so many black people have used when arrested and have tragically died as a result of deliberate force by law enforcement. Momentarily, afro Americans can 'breathe' but systemic racism in America is undoubtedly rampant.
In this episode, I explore what institutionalised means and how ‘being institutionalised’ has affected my life and others.

The 10 commandments according to Tina Jean. This episode doesn’t lambast religious ideals but instead, questions why do we all go nuts about Easter? Surely, it’s gotta mean more than abstaining from something for 40 days and nights, over eating or feeling sick after too many Easter eggs if you’re lucky enough to get one!

UK clocks have gone back by one hour and we are officially in British Summer Time. It’s Spring and one of my favourite seasons of the year. Winter’s been kicked to the kerb and we can transition into brighter and longer days, feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

Today’s episode focuses on Brighter Days Ahead. As the UK has a roadmap for leading the nation out of this dastardly pandemic, I focus on key things I’ve taken away in the past year and the brighter future I’m looking forward. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed so it’s time to ditch that ancient ‘I’m not ready to activate’ bucket list start ticking stuff off every goddam day!

My second episode is all about lightbulb (not necessarily creative but more realisations) moments. Over the past few years, I’ve had some extra ordinary revelations which have woken me up and allowed me to move on in life with positivity. ‘Owning my truth’ has been one of the bravest thing I have done and seemingly, the truth is setting me free!

In my very first episode, I take on the Elephant in the Room, Covid 19. It has impacted each and every one of us in some way or another and I’m no exception to the rule.
