Jesus tells us the importance of loving one another. This will prove that we are his disciples. In the Gospel of John chapter 15 Jesus tells us that we must abide in him and follow his commandments, because he is the vine and we are the branches. He then goes on to say that there is no greater example of love than when someone lays down their life for one of their friends.
