Beginning HR is made simple in these bite-sized information morsels. These are general ideas when applied generally should develop general results.
I look for a couple of key points in a resume. The resume is the sales brochure that the candidate uses to try to convince you to hire them.
The end of year is the perfect time to do a bit of paperwork housekeeping in five (5)areas. I-9 forms; updated employee phone numbers and addresses; emergency contact information; updated attendance records; review and update employee training requirements.
“How To” guides are easy to make and simple to use. They take the guesswork out of trying to figure out how to do something.

If you find yourself in need of an employee for your business, there is nothing wrong with trying to poach a prospective employee.
Having a visitors sign in log book is an important part of your facilities safety in the event of an emergency.
Get to know the candidate on a better level by asking questions about themselves, their hobbies or interests. Look for the common thread, and find a connection to see if they would be a good addition to the work environment.
Be confident in yourself but don’t be cocky. There’s a difference. Be self-assured of yourself. Be honest. Be yourself. Smile and stand up straight. Give yourself a pep talk before coming into the interview.
This has to be said. Groom yourself before the interview. Clean yourself up. Shower/Deodorant. Brush your teeth. Comb/brush your hair. Use mouthwash if your breath is nasty. Wash your hands and clean and trim your nails. Shave if necessary. Don’t look unkempt. The grunge look is out. Remember, you are trying to sell yourself to the interviewer. Bring the best version of you to the interview. What the interviewer sees is what they will expect to get. Set yourself up for success. Proper grooming is a must do.
