I first discussed this tour three years ago, way back in Episode 7, so it was a lot of fun to put it "under the microscope" once again...
This episode is really the third instalment in a trilogy of '73 Zeppelin episodes this year, as ledzepfilm and I also discussed their 1973 United Kingdom Tour in Episode 124, and their 1973 European Tour in Episode 139.
Additionally, ledzepfilm first joined me back in October 2021 to discuss Zeppelin's 1971 Japanese Tour for its 50th anniversary — Episode 67.
I highly recommend you follow ledzepfilm on all platforms, as he is, in my opinion, the best in the community at syncing concert footage with the best available audio.

In this, the Season 5 finale, we rank all 86 of the Grateful Dead's 1972 concerts, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of that venerable year in Dead history. In a sense, I've been working on this episode for two years now, as I listened to all 86 shows last year in preparation for this year!
This year alone, I spent somewhere in the neighbourhood of 375 hours on this exercise, and created over 40,000 words of content between notes, spreadsheets, etc. A list like this can never be entirely objective, but I did try to make the process as refined as possible. It was a labour of love all the way, and I hope you enjoy it!

In this episode I rank every 1975 version of "No Quarter" — all 38 for which there is at least a partial recording, that is. I've been looking forward to — and preparing for — this episode for several months and am excited to finally unveil it! This week marks the 46th anniversary of the conclusion of Led Zeppelin's 1975 North American Tour, which I covered in full, along with the Earls Court shows, way back in Episode 3 last June. I figured that the anniversary of the end of the North American tour would be the perfect time to release this, as that final week of the tour in Los Angeles marks the very peak of their popularity and influence in many ways. It was that week that their entire back catalogue joined 'Physical Graffiti' (#1) in the charts, a then-unprecedented feat.
