Many churches, in the name of being seeker - friendly, have created attractive services with good music, projection systems, etc., but have moved the focus away from God's presence. They've made people happy during the service, but that happiness fades quickly outside the church. True joy comes from God's presence, we much be intentional about making sure that God has first place position in our lives!!

We have to be intentional in keeping our focus on Jesus. The enemy strives to hit us with distractions and move our focus away from Jesus! The children of Israel would consistently get in trouble when they began to focus on what they didn’t have instead of what they do have! We find ourselves in trouble today in the church because we are putting so much focus on what we do not have instead of what we do have!
When we put our focus on what God has done instead of haven't done, it builds faith that God can do it again in HIS time!

A lot of times we are looking for someone to lay hands on us or pray for us but the Lord said our faith has made us whole!!!!!! All we have to do is Have faith!

The Bible teaches us that true repentance is an inward act. In “Tear Your Heart” Pastor Bo teaches that rending your heart and not your garments is the formula for experience the presence, favor and power of God. The prophet Jeremiah uses the analogy of broken/cracked cisterns that cant hold water to describe that the children of Israel have basically traded the one true and living God for the artificial. It seems we are in a place in society today because we have been seeking the hand of God instead of the face of God. We get things out of order and focus on what God can do instead of who God is!
The progression was that we seek the face of God and then ask for His grace!

We live in a time where people are seeking the hand of God and not the face of God.
They seem to seek the blessing above the blesser. The purpose to seek Gods face is to be closer to Him to become more like him! The problem we face is that we have gotten so entangled with the world that we are lacking these face to face experiences with God but we have to realize that as you seek the face of God, you’ll also get the hand of God!

The book of acts even pairs together fellowship and breaking of bread together. The enemies goal in these last days is to distract us from God's Word and His house, His People and fellowship with God and His people.

We have to realize that God is working in each and every season of our lives and that what the enemy means for our bad and downfall, God is using and intending for your Good. So many times, when we are surrounded by tough situations it seems that we become prisoners of the feelings that start to overwhelm us. Fear, doubt, discouragement and depression can be paralyzing but we don't have to be trapped by these feelings or emotions. We can be a "Prisoner of Hope"! If we choose to listen to the voice of God and guard who and what we are exposed to, we can cast off hopelessness and put on hopefulness!
