Today many believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, but not putting themselves in places or situations to be empowered by the Spirit. We are not regularly taught that to fulfill GOD’s plan and purpose for our lives we must submit part of our lives to the Church and Ministry. Modern Christians have started to believe that a Church is almost irrelevant to the faith of a Believer, when the Church should be and IS the center and crux of the outworking of the Faith.

This is our great vindication, our ultimate justification; our final “thumbing of the nose” to all those who perpetrated their evil will and lifestyles and flaunted their sins before the entire world and forced it down our collective throats. We get to have the last cosmic laugh.

There were times coming that were going to be so bad, they had to KNOW with complete certainty WHO they belonged to and that their lives would mean something in this world and the next. If the book of Revelation was intended for audiences 2000 years after the fact, why does the Apostle John use such seemingly misleading language? In just the first three verses of Revelation alone he uses two "time-constraining" phrases:
1 "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. Revelation 1:1-3 (added emphasis mine)
What do I mean by "time-constraining"? Simply this; these phrases lock in the time expectancy of what is being said in these verses to a more imminent proximity, meaning anyone reading these scriptures would expect events to happen very soon. If I said to you, "I'll be at your house soon". Well, that could mean a few minutes; days; maybe even weeks.
But if I add, "I'll be at your house soon, I'm very near." You would be expecting me to knock at your door any minute now...not 2000 years later! And there are tons of verses in Revelation that use these phrases! Need more? TAKE A LISTEN HERE.
