Juan makes a thrilling attempt to become the first-ever, internationally-known Cuban Ski Jumper, as he aims to qualify for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Not really. Instead, he broke four ribs (4!) and punctured a lung while dismounting from the ski lift during family vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado. What followed was a jammed ski lift, a medic team on the top of the mountain, a snowmobile and gurney, an urgent care facility, and an overnight stay in the hospital. 🤕
The real 2022 Winter Olympics, officially the XXIV Olympic Winter Games, takes place February 4 to 20, 2022 in Beijing, China with venues near neighboring towns of Yanqing and Chongli. Here's a handy link to NBC's day-by-day guide to coverage.

Five years ago, on December 27, 2016, Juan and two beachgoers saved 3 teenagers from drowning in the ocean on Miami Beach. Those two helpful beachgoers were never seen again (angels, perhaps?). Juan was honored by the Miami Beach Police Department for his heroic actions in a lovely ceremony where he received the MBPD unit coin which they said is traditionally reserved for police officers. 🚔 🪙

So where does the fork go? What does BMW have to do with setting the table? What do we think of Juan's pie-cutting techniques? It's been a while since we've all been able to gather around the table for a big dinner with family and friends. With the holiday season upon us, we thought what better way to kickoff season 3 than with special guest, Lisa Richey. She's the expert on all things etiquette and manners. Consider this your refresher course on how to set the perfect table for your family, friends (or, maybe to impress the in-laws).
Lisa Richey is the founder of The American Academy of Etiquette, Inc. and Manners to Go. Also in this episode: Lisa's online course to teach table manners to children.

Sing along to "I'm Nine" ...
Man, last year things were so great
I remember then when I was eight
But I'm nine, yeah I'm nine
And someone's telling me what to do all the time
They tell me do something, then tell me again
I can't wait until I'm ten
Cuz I'm nine, yeah I'm nine
And someone's telling me what to do all the time
Bridge
It's time for practice, stop going on line
The internet, it's like a crime
Don't eat too much, go to bed on time
Man, I can't wait 'til my life is mine
I wish I was six, I wish I was seven
Hopefully soon I'll be eleven
But I'm nine, yeah I'm nine
And someone's telling me what to do all the time
Some things I don't like, Some things I hate
Can't wait to go to High School and graduate
Cuz I'm nine, yeah I'm nine
So they'll keep telling me what to do
Yeah they'll keep telling me wha to do
Stop telling me what to do all the time ..
