Inbound marketing is the process of attracting people to your website with engaging content. In this episode, we look into the benefits of Inbound Marketing and the statistics that it presents to help you refine what is working for your digital marketing.
For every $92 spent acquiring customers, only $1 is spent converting them. (Econsultancy, 2016) (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)

In today's episode 45 of HubnSpoke we ask the question, What is the best automated sales and marketing tool for business? The answer is none of them if you don't plan to make a significant investment in training and change management.
The business case for automated sales and marketing software programs is compelling. We are talking about software like HubSpot, Marketo, Infusionsoft, Pardot, and Eloqua. These platforms can make a significant difference to your business.
But you must invest the time required to deploy and training your staff on the programs.
Marketers using automation software generate 2X the number of leads than those using blast email software and are perceived by their peers to be 2X as effective at communicating. (Autopilot, 2015)
(Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
Without a dedicated investment in time, then the platform will not be successfully deployed, and the results will not come, through no fault of the software. Training on the systems is critical and needs to be ongoing, consistent and in pace with the deployment speed of mar-tech innovations.
HubSpot what is a remarkable tool its power is substantial with so much power comes the need to ensure that the operators understand how to
Fortunately how is what makes it easier for us by providing free certification classes
All marketing people working with sales and marketing software, like HubSpot should have the inbound sales and inbound marketing certifications.
This is what the HubSpot Academy says about its inbound certification.
"HubSpot Academy's free Inbound Certification course consists of twelve class lectures that span the four stages of the inbound methodology. From optimizing your website, to landing page anatomy, to honing your inbound sales skills, this free certification course covers the basics of what inbound is all about."
http://certification.hubspot.com/inbound-certification
These certifications provide a strong understanding of the methodology behind inbound marketing and help you unlock the digital marketing power of content marketing.
The HubSpot sales and marketing platform has powerful tools. But you must have the skills to understand how to use them.
We also discussed Last Pass the handy password saving tool that makes it easier to remember your passwords.
Are you creating evergreen content? Evergreen content is content that has an unlimited shelf life.
Ideally, you wish to create content that is rising the Google search engine rankings. It takes a long time to get your pages ranked on Google.
If you are producing content that is helpful to your prospects, then your content is always helpful.
The longevity of most content, particularly if it is not related to a short term sale or a season means that many of your website pages are solving customer problems for a long time.
Inbound marketing is the process of using content to guide your prospects down the sales funnel on your site. It's the process of attracting people, then engaging them with useful content, and converting them into appropriate actions and offers.
Finally the process of then delighting them by actually having them as customers.
75% of HubSpot's blog views and 90% of blog leads come from old posts.
(HubSpot, 2014) (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
The first step it to always make sure you're answering people's questions, providing content that is relevant to the people coming to your website. Engaging, entertaining, educating, visually attractive, strong content, not just wishy-washy words on pages.
Keyword focused, making sure that you're going to capture people's attention, I guess. If it's content that you're posting on social media, with a link back to your website, making sure that visual is strong, with really catchy headline
I think that's critical. If you're going to get ROI out of inbound marketing, you have to create content. Make sure that content is evergreen then you can use social media to post the content to the world on a regular and consistent schedule.
The reason why we now have to take this on board and embrace it is that the world of sales has completely changed.
47% of buyers viewed 3-5 pieces of content before engaging with a sales rep.
(Demand Gen Report, 2016) (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
The consumers have all the power. They're the ones who can read the websites, discover, and learn what's out there all the websites of the world.
As business people, it's absolutely part of your job now to create content and provide information to the customers via your website.
Most importantly, you've got to go ahead and go through the process of creating content for your website. If you want to get ROI, you've just got to do it.
Let's put that into perspective. It's all well and good to say, "Let's create content," but let's talk about actual volumes of content. We're not talking about a page a month, a blog a month. We're talking about a blog a day, making it evergreen means the investment last for a long time.
It's the HubnSpoke flashback episode. We go back to the basics of the reason why we have a podcast. Why is it called Hub and Spoke?
Creating the content on your website is the central point. From here you are able to publish your content and distribute them through social media channels.
Inbound marketing is all about getting more leads and sales from your website. But what is your strategy to get your content out there?
Companies that published 16+ blog posts per month got about 4.5X more leads than companies that published 0-4 monthly posts.
(HubSpot, 2015) (Source: https://www.hubspot.com/marketing-statistics)
Publishing content with links back to your website via social media generates leads traffic. Free traffic that you would otherwise only get through using ad engines like Google Adwords and Facebook paid to advertise.
Push out your content to as many different locations as possible, making sure you have a link back to the website. This is the Hub and Spoke publishing theory.
Discover more in episode 43 of HubnSpoke with Adam Steinhardt and Zaahn Johnson.

This is what HubSpot say about their form tool.
Build custom forms that connect to your contacts database.
Easily create custom forms in seconds, and start converting anonymous visitors into qualified leads.
Just drag and drop the questions you want to ask right into place – no technical expertise necessary. Create custom fields, or select from a dozen different field types such as open text fields, dropdowns menus, radio select buttons, check boxes, and more. Having the form tool optimised will ensure that you are harvesting critical data that you can use to nurture your prospects and convert them into customers.
Why only four forms? Surprisingly, there is a strong belief that you only should be considering four forms for your automated sales and marketing platform.
One is the contact us form. Everybody has and needs a contact us form. But what are the other three?
Then three other forms that match the stage of your data in your sales funnel.

Progressive polling is a vital part of the HubSpot pro and enterprise solutions that allow you to harvest more data from your prospect every time they fill out a form.
This is a fundamental difference in the power of digital marketing by comparison to traditional marketing.
If HubSpot recognises the user's cookie, previously captured fields are replaced by new more qualifying questions.
Each time a form is submitted progressive polling represents new fields encouraging your prospect to contribute data that helps you understand more about them
The more your sales prospect trust you, the greater the amount of data you can progressively harvest from them.

How do you ensure HubSpot is successful for your business?
We take the SMART acronym and turn it on its head to get a new perspective on how to make HubSpot and inbound marketing work for your business.
S = Sales Training
M = Management Buy In
A = Application
R = Remove the Haters
T = Time, give it time
If you are not sure what HubSpot is, you can discover a demonstration movie here.
S = Sales Training Sales Training is critical. There is no magic wand in HubSpot. Sales people are the ultimate determinate of your success. Sales training is critical. HubSpot will get your more leads, but your business will only grow if you sales people recognise and act on those leads.
The HubSpot sales and marketing platform, when deployed correctly, will deliver more leads to your sales team. To maximise your HubSpot investment, your sales team will need to be able to convert.
How much is HubSpot? It is a sizable investment, leading many people to question whether it's worth it. "Is HubSpot worth the money? Will HubSpot work?" The fact is, a well-supported HubSpot portal will generate more leads. But is your sales force able to convert them?
As a sales leader, are you lost in the marketing technology age? Marketing tech and predictive data only work for your sales team if you know how to use it.
Your team needs to be on the cutting edge of marketing technology. HubSpot gives you the tools to fire up your ageing sales skills.
Sales and marketing have changed in the last decade. It's now the not-so-golden-age of Seller Beware.
The Buyer now has all the power, and they are not about to give it back.
It is strongly recommended that your business has HubSpot training, or works on retainer with a HubSpot Partner, like The Kingdom.
M = Management Has your company management team bought into the inbound marketing process? Executive management needs to fully support and understand the process inbound marketing and digital marketing. That means allocating the time, resources, and budget to allow your marketing team or HubSpot partner to develop the portal. A company who spends 6 months and a couple thousand on their HubSpot portal won't see the value, because they never invested fully in HubSpot or gave it the opportunity to succeed.
A = Application The more determined your organisation is to succeed, the better inbound marketing will work for you. Great HubSpot and inbound marketing happens when the entire organisation is brought on board and the marketing and sales team work together to get their customer's questions answered and their site fine-tuned into a lead-generating sales funnel.
R = Remove the haters HubSpot deployment means change management. This can intimidate some employees that are entrenched in their old ways. Communication and extra training is needed to inspire them. Failing to do this results in a destructive force that can ruin your best intentions from the inside. Removing these naysayers from the HubSpot implementation and its oversight is absolutely critical to success. For haters that can't be sent on their way, try adapting your language and approach to get their buy-in.
T = Time. HubSpot Needs Time Inbound marketing needs time. The HubSpot feature set is robust and extensive. It takes time to master the tools. It takes time to create your website content. It takes time for content marketing to gain traction with Google Search Engines.
B2B marketers say the #1 benefit of marketing automation is the ability to generate more and better leads.

Inbound marketing is the process of using content to guide your prospects down the sales funnel on your website. It's the process of attracting people, then engaging them with useful content, and converting them into appropriate actions and offers, then delighting them by actually having them as customers.
The world of sales has completely changed. The consumers have all the power. They're the ones who can read the websites, discover, and learn what's out there from the internet.

If you are analysing the results on a day by day basis for your website, then you are able to tweak and improve your site based on that data.

Your business should be learning from the questions that you get on a daily basis then creating the answers, The more pages you get, the greater your footprint and the better chance you have of being found by Google.

This weeks features is a brand new feature from Inbound 2016, the Lead Flows function.
Lead Flows allow you to easily create pop up windows to harvest email leads. Lead Flows is a part of the Marketing Free platform from HubSpot.
A lead flow is HubSpot's take on a pop-up form. There are three components to a lead flow --- the callout (initial pop-up, with a button), the form (which appears once the button in the callout is clicked), and the thank-you message.
You can now create four types of lead flows.
This is how HubSpot described it in their press release on November 9, 2016.
Lead Flows, a part of the former Leadin product, allows HubSpot Marketing customers to create pop-up forms. But, are pop-up forms truly inbound? It really depends on the intention and execution -- but non-interruptive or annoying pop-ups can be inbound, and the data proves they work.
AWeber found that using a pop-up form for obtaining blog subscribers converted 1375% better than a traditional form.
For more data, and what truly makes a pop-up form inbound read this post on should marketers use pop-up forms?
Within HubSpot now you can create your own pop-up forms, and easily insert them on your content. To get started just head to the Products & Add-on screen and click "activate" under Lead Flows. Once activated a new options called Lead Flows will display under the Content menu and will guide you through the form creation process.

HubnSpoke team of Adam Steinhardt and Zaahn Johnson return to continue their mission in this edition, to drill down deep into the features of HubSpot and begin to address some of those under-utilised and misunderstood aspects of HubSpot, a powerful cloud-based sales and marketing platform.
HubSpot’s diverse set of software tools can mean that even the most experienced Hubspotter can at times feel overwhelmed. Recent tools revealed as part of Inbound 2016 have added even more power across the sales, marketing and CRM, allowing you to maximise the effectiveness of inbound methodology in new and dynamic ways.
Social Media Expert, Zaahn Johnson takes the lead this week, with an in-depth examination of the hidden power of HubSpot integration, Bit.ly:
Understanding Bit.ly Bit.ly was first established in 2008 as a tool with a very practical purpose - to shorten URLs for Twitter. Originally, it broke links down into 8 characters to give you more character space. That function remains a defining feature of bit.ly but, things have now evolved beyond Twitter and the function persists as an even more valueable tool.
The bit.ly website is free to use to a certain point, but there are paid tiers to getting the most out of it. The most powerful aspect of bit.ly is that it stores all of the links you shorten. Beyond that, you can also see the number of clicks the link has had.
How To Use Bit.ly You can connect your indeividual bit.ly account to HubSpot, so what this means if you don’t connect your account to HubSpot and your links get shortened they become Hubs.ly links. Bit.ly have allowed businesses to purchase their own domain for their platform, though before you go and purchase your own personalized links, you’ll want to do your research on what competitive advantage you can gain from it will be.
One thing to consider is whether using a Hubs.ly link is going to reveal to your competitors that you are using the HubSpot platform, potentially giving away a serious competitive advantage you have in the market. When you can utilize the same functionality, while remaining ambiguous when you post, it won't be a feature for everyone.
HubnSpoke team of Adam Steinhardt and Zaahn Johnson embark on a new mission in this edition, to drill down deep into the features of HubSpot and begin to address some of those under-utilised and misunderstood aspects of HubSpot, a powerful cloud-based sales and marketing platform.
Are you getting the most out of the full breadth of HubSpot features? We begin our examination with a common confusion amongst Hubspotters in the marketing and sales funnel:
A Closer Look At The Lifecycle Stages Tool This is both an underrated and misunderstood feature of HubSpot, discoverable in both the Sales and Marketing dashboards in Contact Properties. It is also one of the most important features, as it really is the driver of HubSpot’s true power.
Unsure why? Let us explain.
At its core, HubSpot is about creating websites that generate leads for your business. Using the inbound methodology, people will discover your website, learn about your business, begin to trust you as a source of information and then become a lead for you to do business with.
There are two sorts of leads in the HubSpot sales funnel: Sales Qualified Leads (SQL) and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL). SQL are those entered into the system by your sales staff. They have done the work, they have created the interest and will hopefully be able to nurture this lead into a customer through their direct contact with them.
In this edition of the HubnSpoke Podcast for sales and marketing professionals we take a closer look at the new Sales Tools recently revealed as part of the HubSpot CRM at Inbound 2016.

In closing the team talk of Inbound 2016, getting closer and the new speakers that can't wait to see.
Now that you have attracted your customer, what’s the next step? Stage 2 is all abouthow to convert your social media fans and followers into leads. You have already attracted them using your content, now it’s time to offer them something more.
Create Something of Value A great way to convert followers into leads is by offering them premium content that is given in exchange for their information. You have to ensure that what whatever you are offering is worth exchanging their email for.
The offer of knowledge in the forms of an eBook, webinar or whitepapers will give you the opportunity to show off your skills.
eBooks are a great way to share your knowledge and build trust with your prospects.
Free webinars give you the opportunity to share your skills and engage in something relevant at the same time. Webinars not only allow you to interact with your prospects, but can be recorded for future use.
Research reports are a great way of sharing data through infographics and case studies. The infographics can also be used to create cool back links to your website.
Just remember the value of the proposition must be enough to receive the customer's information in return.
Create a Landing Page Your advertised offer must lead to a landing page. This is where your prospect can share their information with you in exchange for your content.
"Without the landing page and information, your potential customer cannot become a lead."
Share Once you have your offer and a landing page, you are ready to share your content with the world. We come full circle, as you need to share the offer from your website across your social media channels.
You can create a great offer using the Facebook ad engine. This application allows you to be specific when targeting your audience. This is also a very cost-effective way of getting your content promoted across Facebook.
Pixel tracking also allows you to narrow down segments by promoting your ads to people who have already visited your website.
Favourite HubSpot Resource Zaahn Johnson, The Kingdom's social media expert, was a big fan of the HubSpotcampaign tool this week. It allows you to see what part of your HubSpot journey is humming along.
A tool that is often underused, it allows you to attach a campaign name to social media posts, and can give you data on how it has gone. This tracking tool gives you an idea of how specific campaigns have done over time so you can analyse it.
Managing Director Adam Steinhardt is fond of two HubSpot features this week. The new customisable dashboard that allows users to move and collapse the contact module. Secondly, the new ability to places messages from external applications directly into HubSpot.
If I Were in Charge of HubSpot, I Would Change… Zaahn would love to be able to post and schedule videos via HubSpot's scheduling tool. As a major fan of video on social media, it would be an incredible and useful feature.
Adam thinks it would be great to have a membership module that allows a private viewing space for members, and would give them special options.
On that note, that wraps up this week's Podcast on Part 2 of How to Use Social Media to Bring People Down the Sales Funnel.
This year, Adam will be speaking about how to transform your ageing sales skills into a modern inbound sales strength before it’s too late. Until next week, check us out on Twitter @hub_n_spoke.
Do you want to get the most out of your social media posts? The attract stage is the element with the potential to draw people in.
Social media is a great way to share the content to begin this process. To be successful on social media your content must be helpful, enjoyable and sharable. If your content can solve a customer's problem or answer their questions it will be even more engaging.
So how can you get the most out of social media when trying to engage your customer and prospects?
Headlines Headlines are a key element in engagement. A headline that clearly describes the content, provokes emotion and draws attention will be more successful in the attraction process. CoSchedule’s headline analyser is a useful tool when creating your headlines.
You can also benefit from adding value to the post. For example; “6 tips to…….”. This method also makes the content easier to read and appears less time consuming to the user.
Hashtags Hashtags are a great way to follow and engage with others. It's great to use trending or specific hashtags. It helps users find your content when searching social media sites such as Twitter.
Are you are unsure of which hashtags to use for your business? Doing some research or using a hashtag assisting apps can help you make the right choices. Just don’t forget to add them to your posts!
Influencers Influencers are a top secret strategy to get your word out quickly.
Using influencers or ambassadors is perfect for people wanting to get their business and content out there.
Sharing your content with their larger following will help broaden your own. This could be through writing blogs about your business or via social media posts.
It is also possible to bring like-minded brands together. Friendly sharing of a database can be mutually beneficial.
Newsjacking Take advantage of what is being most googled with newsjacking. This is a sneaky method to get your content attention. Google trends can help you find topical events locally or around the world.
By engaging with these topics you can be a part of the current popular conversation.
App Of The Day Not sure how to track the success of your shared links over social media? Bitly is a great platform that allows you to easily shorten your URLs and measure their impact. It can be used to track your links across all social media channels.
"Social media has a 97% higher lead-to-close rate than outbound marketing." [Source: Hubspot]
If you are an existing HubSpot user bitly can be linked with your HubSpot account.
Best of all you can sign up for Bitly absolutely free.
Workflow of the Week This week’s workflow recognises the last time a user visited your website. It will take note when they have not returned for 90-120 days or 120-150 days.
Using engaging and inviting content they are welcomed back to the website. You can use content that has already been successful and proves useful to the person.
If I Were in Charge of HubSpot, I Would Change… The HubSpot universe would benefit from the ability to post multiple images to social media. It would be far more convenient than having to return to the original platform.
Our Resource HubSpot never ceases to create cool and awesome things. HubSpot’s dashboard is no exception.
"50% of sales time is wasted on unproductive prospecting." [Source: The B2B Lead]
Including what landing pages are working, which contacts have come through, and the blogs that are performing well. It is also possible to have a report built off this data as one of HubSpot's purchasable features.
Are we are in content shock? Do we need a restraining order against social media? It's time to analyse how much the popular social networks have grown, and what that means to consumers. Content is a really interesting point, and something that grabbed our attention was in The Asia Pacific Content Marketing Report 2016. HubSpot and Survey Monkeycombined forces and they polled 720 different marketeers.
Now we know what you're thinking; you hear the word "report" and think 'I totally should read it, must read it, but will I?' What really blew us away was the infographic on page 5 about "What happens online in 60 seconds." It’s about content shock and growth of platforms, listing some remarkable stats.
Statistics from the Marketing Report What's App has proven to be very powerful through these stats. There were millions of messages posted every minute.
The features of the group aspect in What's App are easy, and it’s also free. With an easy interface, it gets the job done. What’s App doesn’t require its users to be on Facebook even though it’s owned by Facebook, which makes it that much more simple to use. There were more What’s App messages sent than Twitter.
Twitter went from 278,000 tweets per minute in 2013 to 420,340 tweets per minute in 2015. Instagram has gone from 28,000 to 55,555 posts per minute. Snapchat is missing though which is interesting. Maybe they didn’t want to add another quadrant into the pie chart? And another question, who counted them all? That’s a big job!
WordPress doesn’t have a very big growth. We’re talking about 817 posts to 1212 across 3 years, it’s not a huge difference at all. Facebook is still really strong as they increased from 2.5 million to 3.3 million over 3 years. Emails went from 182.9 million to 205 million over 3 years. There should also be a mini quadrant of actual emails opened and emails clicked, that would be great! YouTube has gone from 100 million to 400 million. being the second biggest search engine in the world, there was massive growth in YouTube hours uploaded. So, what's the takeaway from these statistics? To YouTube more!
As an average person, it is clear that by checking all of these apps and social networks throughout the day, there is no time to do any work. The bottom line is, does anyone have any time to do anything anymore? Well, they say that the world has fallen in love with social media, but you could argue that we’ve become a little obsessed. Do we need restraining orders on social media?
Content Shock SmartInsights.com have done the job. So what’s the verdict on content shock? Is there just too much? Well, the lesson to take out of this of course, is that this is really beneficial for consumers. Everything that’s been put up educates the consumer, giving them an understanding of exactly what they want to know about their posts. A big take away for businesses is if you’re not doing content, you’re not getting found.
If you Google something but can’t find what you’re after in that search, and re-word it and Google again, you will get different content. It’s important to include lots of long-tail keywords in your content to ensure consumers can find you easily so you are able to help solve their problems.
Favourite HubSpot Resource Zaahn loves to blog and all things about blogging. The great thing is that you can have multiple blogs through HubSpot, and The Kingdom has made great use of this by having 8 blogs! They are all separate and have their own niche markets. Why is this beneficial you ask? As a brand, we are able to focus on key areas of our business.
At The Kingdom, we use landing pages to have content submitted. We then use theAPI calls to actually create a blog with user-generated content through HubSpot.
Adam loves the smart list feature which allows you to create lists based on criteria in your HubSpot data base. That means that you can segment your contacts whichever way you want to. It allows you to grow and segment your data base very easily.
Niche content is super important, so having lists that are defined means you will get better open rates. Smart lists have a lot of potential, being a big part of HubSpot, but they are very underrated. Smart lists also have a feature that connects with Twitter.
If I Were in Charge of HubSpot, I Would Change... Zaahn would include the Ads Manager tool from Facebook into HubSpot. Currently, it's an add-on for about $130+ a month, but is it a valuable enough to be worth it? For those spending thousands on marketing each month, it absolutely is worth it. It gives you closed-loop reporting on Google ad words and LinkedIn ads.
You can watch the entire process; from the point of starting the ad, right through to the very end when the lead becomes a customer by giving you the ROI number. If you have an e-commerce website it’s really powerful for your business to find out exactly where that lead or purchase came from. Social media is important to your business, such as Facebook’s ability to do re-marketing with pixel tracking so you’re able to track those conversions.
Adam would love to make the reporting tool free. Marcus Sheridan and George B Thomas have a wonderful podcast called The Hubcast, and they actually have a hashtag about it #makeitfree.
The reporting tool is the end of the process for inbound marketing, and everyone needs access to this to report the fact that it actually works. It’s a challenge to sell anything to the world these days, and HubSpot is a great platform to help in this process.

10 Top Tips for Amazing Content Creation
How Do You Know if Content Marketing is Working?
Common Content Mistakes
How can HubSpot's platforms help your business and your customers? Should you be inbound fit to be a successful marketer? Landing Pages Zaahn has been loving watching how landing pages work. Landing pages are definitely under-rated on a social platform and should be used more. The ability to share it and have it as an option for social media is great for more conversion.
Landing pages have so much versatility. If your business is hiring, one great tip is to use a landing page as a careers page. Hiring on your own website is a great idea as it's cost effective and gives you the option to push it out on social media.
You're able to organically grow your contact’s email database as the decay rate is usually 20% per year. You will need to boost it up frequently to ensure it doesn’t disintegrate. Social media definitely gets conversions, so these components are equally important.
Progressive Polling Tool Progressive polling is designed with the customer in mind. HubSpot’s progressive polling tool allows you to see the form at the back of customer’s portals.
It’s there to avoid the annoyance of having to repeatedly fill in forms and submit your details. It remembers your information, and instead of asking you the same information, it will ask you something perhaps you haven’t submitted an answer for yet. Traditionally, we would set up a landing page with a first and last name and an email address. Next time you came back, the prompt might be for your Twitter. The time after that, the question may be asking what your main social media platform was.
Lead Nurturing Lead nurturing works really well as you can grow the amount of information you collect from people, as they build their trust with your business and website. The more they trust, the more information they give. There is no need to rush at the beginning to harvest the data as you can rely on the future you receive it.
Ideally, when creating landing pages you want to ask the bare minimum to avoid creating a barrier. You must question what will be done with the information you’re gathering from your customers? Do you need to know every detail? There needs to be a purpose. What are you trying to achieve? What are your goals? Ask yourself if you would fill it in if you were in their position? Have empathy with the customer’s experience.
Would you like a personal HubSpot demo?
Sign up for a free 30 minute personal webinar.
Sales by HubSpot App The Sales by HubSpot app on (App Store, Google Play) is used to watch people clicking through your website. Available for HubSpot users through the HubSpot App in the iTunes store. Even if you only use HubSpot free Sales CRM, you can download the app to keep track of your customers.
"Seeing who has interacted with that landing page will help you understand which pages are working and which aren't."
It’s almost like watching live inbound marketing working before your eyes. Particularly if you’re using the HubSpot sales pro-tool that allows you to view the users clicking on your website as they click links. If you are after some extra learning, HubSpot has a HubCast which is their podcast made for HubSpotters.
If I Were in Charge of HubSpot, I Would Change... Zaahn would like to be able to bring in the image from a social media link, rather than the preview link. When posting on social media, she would like to bring in that image from that page rather than the preview link. A blog header image visually looks better than a link.
Adam would allow a picture off the HubSpot software on his phone to go straight to the contact’s timeline. Effectively, photograph our sales notes and important documents to go straight into the timeline. Imagine pulling out your phone and going to your contact card, taking a photo and receiving your result.
Being Inbound Fit - Inbound 2016 The Inbound 2016 conference, which Adam Steinhardt and Zaahn Johnson will be attending on 8th November 2016, has 14,500 people attending. If you are also attending, Adam is on the sales track on Wednesday November 9th at 4:15pm.
Zaahn’s most looking forward to seeing multiple speakers from Inbound Marketing World such as Marcus Sheridan and George B Thomas. They are full of passion and will be speaking individually this year too.
Adam's looking forward to seeing Beth Dunn. Last year she covered a hard topic on how to successfully create editorial style guidelines, and how to set up your writing style.
Brian Fanzo will also be there, and he was very into Snapchat last year at Social Media Marketing Week. He gave the audience some tips and tricks on how to make Snapchat work for your business. He once spent over 20 hours out the front of a Superbowl doing non-stop periscope show on Facebook Live.
Nikki Sharp works in the HubSpot marketing department and will also be there. She will soon be heading to Singapore with the HubSpot marketing team at their office

5 HubSpot Features You Can't Live Without
Is HubSpot better than WordPress? Which is more efficient for your business? Analysis of HubSpot V WordPress Is HubSpot better than WordPress? WordPress is a great blogging tool that makes it usually customer's first choice. It has many fantastic templates available and is free, but can be easily hacked due to this. HubSpot is easy to use, understand and update your content accordingly. Everyone is able to use it and create a website which will give you statistics on your customer base, and whether your content is generating leads. HubSpot is great with being honest, and this builds trust with their customers
If you conduct a google search on HubSpot v WordPress, you will find many comparison articles. One of the big five to have on your website is X v Y comparison search.
How does a WordPress website work with HubSpot? Once users see the benefits of HubSpot they eventually switch from WordPress. If you currently have a Wordpress website in place you would have great content already, and HubSpot makes the most of that content. If you haven't, stick to 1 platform. With 1 integrated program and 1 password login, HubSpot is a secure service.
Through HubSpot, The Kingdom is able to have multiple blogs. It is also extremely easy to update the website. Creating and applying CTA's, landing pages and forms are also easy as they are built into HubSpot. In comparison, Wordpress needs plug-ins for these things to work, and it is one big blog effectively.
SMART content shows different content based on the lifecycle stage of your customers. Suggestions of what to show your customers next who are currently online. The Kingdom has multiple different blogs in order to focus on the niche market of clients.
Resources of the Week A free eBook made up of 38 pages entirely of sample emails for marketing sales. It contains great ideas for new content for emails to send to your prospects.
Go to HubSpot.com and in the top right-hand corner you will see a mortarboard hat. Under this heading, select the marketing library and search through the library. Subscribe to the HubSpot blog to receive their emails each week.
If I Were in Charge of HubSpot, I Would Change... Adam loves the workflows, but would create visual representations of the workflows for those who don't code. Or perhaps text-based representation, like lines of code, for the ability to debug and view the context of the script.
Inbound 2016 The Inbound 2016 conference, which Adam Steinhardt and Zaahn Johnson will be attending on 8th November 2016, has 14,500 people attending. If you are also attending, Adam is on the sales track on Wednesday November 9th at 4:15pm.

10 Top Tips for Amazing Content Creation
What's so Good About WordPress?
Common Content Mistakes
What tools and resources does HubSpot offer? What effects can social media have on your business? Zaahn's Favourite Tool in HubSpot After using Hootsuite in the past, the social media tool in HubSpot has proven to be very easy to use. It pulls information from the HubSpot platform itself and has multiple tools in one programme. You are able to schedule messages out at certain times of the day or night which saves you a lot of time. HubSpot has the contact database, so you can monitor where your contacts and customers are visiting and interacting.
Progressive polling helps you build trust with your customers. As returning customers fill out forms, it remembers this information so there is less repetition. They will be asked new questions so you will receive new information.
Does Social Media Actually Work? When you post enough quality information at the best times suited to your target audience, it definitely works. The HubSpot tool lets you see how many posts get clicks, at what times and which posts in particular. It provides you with information needed to ensure your content is engaging and reaching your audience. Putting time in to ensure there are quality followers and a good audience is also important.
If I Were in Charge of HubSpot, I Would Change... Adam would integrate the YouTube video channel into the social media publishing section of HubSpot. YouTube is the second biggest search engine after Google. Uploading videos straight from Youtube to HubSpot would be beneficial so you are able to monitor the progress. Zaahn would love to integrate Instagram with HubSpot, although it takes away the reason to post instantly through the app.
Resources of the Week We are going to start profiling the useful resources that HubSpot have in their library, and profiling the library itself. You can find anything about marketing and sales as well as social media tools and a design section. It is available and for free for everyone to use. HubSpot are really strong with the development of the app and training and resources to go with it. Go to HubSpot.com and in the top right-hand corner you will see a motorboard hat. Under this heading, select the marketing library and search through the library.
App of the Week Boxshot.com allows you to create 2D and 3D images which is ideal for creating eBooks. It's free to use and you receive multiple versions of the image.
Inbound 2016 The Inbound 2016 conference, which Adam Steinhardt and Zaahn Johnson will be attending on 8th November 2016, has 14,500 people attending. If you are also attending, Adam is on the sales track on Wednesday November 9th at 4:15pm.

The Sales Funnel: TOFU, MOFU & BOFU Explained
5 HubSpot Features You Can't Live Without
A Summary of What HubSpot Does
What is the sales funnel? Don't you eat TOFU? How can inbound marketing and social media attract your customers? What is the Sales Funnel? There are 3 parts to the sales funnel:
TOFU: Top of funnel
This is the light content that you use to drive traffic back to your website. Usually, this overview-style content identifies and defines the challenges your consumers are facing.
MOFU: Middle of funnel
You will begin to show your prospect why you might be the choice for them. You start to position the solution that your company offers as the best choice for the challenges that the prospect has.
BOFU: Bottom of funnel
Deals with pricing specific questions and how the deal might look. It can be related to trials, demo software, as well as information that assists with decision-making processes.
What is TOFU? TOFU is across the board and applies to digital marketing people and marketing people in general. TOFU focusses on not just talking about yourself, but about the brand and business and showing its personality. Here's how:
4:1:1 rule
The 4:1:1 rule is important to ensure that you’re never only talking about yourself, but instead adding to the conversation.
Use of Social Media Social media is the channel that pushes your content out, through HubSpot. Repurpose the information you've written about on your blog or website into social media messages. Don't get too focussed on the number of likes on the platform, worry about the number of links back to your site.
Don't jump to BOFU yet. People are interested in discovery first, not converting. In context, we would rarely share a "quote now" landing page on social media. We post 4,000 social media posts a month but have never shared "buy now" information. It is too interruptive. You must build trust first and nurture your leads.
We are focusing on the TOFU steps you should follow to ensure you are attracting the right customers through the right channels. This is the stage where people are considering your business and just finding out about you. Social media is a great way to have people stumble upon your business, so always provide links back to your website.
Your Website Content The home page must include who you are, where you come from and how you help your customers - like an introduction. You must explain how your business provides the solutions for people that they weren't aware they had. Talk more about how your developed skills will help your customers. Remember, it's not all about you. This shows personality about the brand and the business.
Team pages are the second clicked on pages after the home page. Customers want to match faces to names and know who the faces are behind the business. Separate pages are better than having everyone on one, as it's easier for the customer to digest and locate people individually. Have pages for all of your employees, not just management. If you have 10 people in your team you need 10 pages.
App of the Week Grammarly & Hemmingway
Grammarly was first learned of at social media marketing week last year. It finds errors as you type and suggests alternatives to overused words, like a thesaurus. Hemmingway is great to use next which allows you to see which level you're writing at. Level 7 is the level we strive to reach.
