Not only he capture the moments of history around 100 years ago, he used his craft to create postcards for early lake visitors to take home and share on a place called Okoboji. Abby Terpstra, Director of Philanthropy for the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation informs us that the foundation has an option on 50 acres with 2,000 feet of undeveloped shoreline on East Lake Okoboji. How appropriate is it as I hit the #200th episode I also have the honor to interview Aubrey LaFoy. Aubrey is a World War II Veteran and as we honor our Veterans today...it is wonderful to hear Aubrey's stories of his own tour of duty, the men he served with and his memories and those passed to him by his father who served in World War I. And as a historian and author he also shares stories of Dickinson County's Veterans and how many are buried here including two men who died in the War of 1812. Others are from the Civil War, the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.  We salute Aubrey and all Veterans today, deceased and still with us and we thank you for defending our freedom.
