Do you drag around the sinful nature where ever you go and resurrect him when ever you fall into sin? Or do you understand that the Old man has passed away and you were brought into the last Adam in a newness of Life. Mark goes into how the Old man has died, and how you can keep him dead.
A very powerful message.
All our insecurities originate from this idea, that we are alone in this world, just as the human adage goes "each one for himself" or "It's a doggy dog world". Children without a father feel this way, and they become very rebellious if they don't realise that they are not alone, and that there are people around them that love them. Many of us are taught to be self reliant and not to rely on other people because they will disappoint us. Even this way of thinking is based on fear, and fear is the very thing that drives the orphan spirit. Fear is what has kept us in bondage to slavery because ultimately our sins were stacked against us.
Has God truly forgiven all my sins? Why do I keep on thinking about my past sins? You have His Righteousness and all that goes with it.
